Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

WI today and lost a pound! Very happy as was SO bad for a few days. Was back on track from Saturday though and it paid off.

Rezolution - well done!

Xmyboys - you didn't gain and that's the main thing. Stick at it!

I have worked out that if I lose 2 lbs a week between now and our holiday in July I will be 14 stone. So that's my aim. 2 lbs a week. Will be exercising every day. When I get to 15 stone I will start couch 2 5k.

Rezolution · 28/03/2012 12:35

well done cider Smilekeep going

MadMadamMim · 28/03/2012 18:22

Hello all - I'm so chuffed today, I lost three pounds at weigh in this week, AND I won the office slimmer's challenge at work!! Since Christmas it turns out I've lost 11 pounds Shock :O

Honestly didn't think I'd lost that much but I'm so pleased. Got some nifty little gifts as well! It's definitely motivated me to stick to it as well.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 28/03/2012 23:18

Well done everyone!

I haven't been back to the gym since Monday, still not feeling good with v sore throat and feeling very limp. Just going up and down the stairs makes me tired right now (never mind toddler-wrestling...)!

But at least I think the cold and bad throat has hit my appetite a bit, have definitely been eating less and still got most of my weekly points left which is unusual.

Going out for pizza with friends tomorrow though, so I'll be using a LOT of points for that I imagine! I know Pizza express does some relatively lower-cal options, but will be very tempted not to choose them...

Littlefish · 29/03/2012 22:38

Lote of good weight losses this week - well done everyone.

Inigo - sorry you're feeling poorly. The Leggera pizzas at Pizza Express are really quite nice. The marguerita one is about 14 points I think.

I'm very happy to report a 2.5lb loss this week. I'm now back on track with my self-imposed mini challenge - I just need to lose 2.5lbs in the next 3 weeks.

OP posts:
MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 29/03/2012 23:30

Well I thought about the Leggeras but eventually decided to go for my favourite but not quite eat all of it instead! But am quite amazed, I managed to have that, plus a glass of wine and one of the mini puddings with a latte, and still have quite a few weekly points left for tomorrow and Saturday Shock I keep thinking I must have counted wrong somehow, but it seems to add up right... think it was just because I was quite good with exercise and then sore-throat-limited eating so far this week!

Well done, 2.5lb in a week is really good!

Rezolution · 30/03/2012 14:34

Littlefish Well done 2.5 lbs is really good. You can do it! i am sure you can do it. Smile

Debs75 · 30/03/2012 18:48

Well 1lb on this week. Not sure if I'm surprised or not.
Been eating better and actually feeling hungry before meals. Less sneaky snacking as well. Had a bad weekend though and just went off plan completely so maybe it's that

androbbob · 31/03/2012 21:26

Oooohhh litlefish you are no a roll there (no pun intended!) you will so do the last 2.5lbs in the next 3 weeks! Well done!

Me reporting in here with a 1.5lb loss this week. At this rate I will have shifted half a stone by the end of April. Just got to lose this muffin top that is spilling onto the laptop! Grin. Summer has been and gone this week so will be ok now!! Phew can put the summer trousers away again!

CiderwithBuda · 01/04/2012 08:28

Well done on losses everyone. Keep at it!

I have been really good this week although haven't been tracking. Need to start that again. Exercised every day and did some gardening most days too. It hasn't shown on my scales as yet though although I don't particularly trust them.

Am off to Dublin today and am determined to stick to plan while I am away. Will be staying at my Dad's and can stick to it although I think he is planning fish and chips tonight as he is playing golf today and won't have time to cook before we get there. Then Dad comes back with us on Friday for Easter. Taking my trainers to Dublin too and will walk every day. My next WW WI will be the tuesday after Easter and I want a loss. So I need to stay in control.

I want to lose two stone by 9 July. We are off on holiday then. It's 2 lbs a week. Should be doable although I will need to be very focussed. I will need some regular kicking up the bum on the way.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

GravityDefier · 01/04/2012 14:11

I had an awful two weeks and gained back 3 pounds. It was my birthday, I had cake (A LOT), dinner out, drinks...

I am trying to get back into it but having gained almost half of what I had lost in the first place is making me feel all deflated Sad

ObviouslyOblivious · 01/04/2012 18:13

Gravity, I've had a terrible couple of weeks too :(
Don't be disheartened, today is a new week and we are back with a vengeance :o

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 01/04/2012 19:13

Well I had some good news this morning, though not feeling that excited as the rest of the day wasn't so great. But WI this morning and was 2.5lb down! And also managed to fit into a pair of jeans that have been too tight for a while. Not bad, especially as AF is due, which is when I'm usually at my heaviest! But it was the first week for a little while that I actually managed to keep tracking everything right till the end of the week and to stay fully within my points though, so maybe that was why.

Not doing so well today mind you, took the kids out to an icecream parlour so I had a big icecream and lots of Sunday dinner too! But tomorrow's another day Smile

ceebeegeebies · 02/04/2012 21:54

Hey everyone - I have been AWOL for a couple of weeks Blush

I have veered off track a little and stopped tracking but started again yesterday.

Strangest thing though - am sure I am not that much thinner but I did notice yesterday that I could actually see my C-section scar which has been hidden by my overhang for as long as I can remember - not sure if I am imagining it and how that would happen but I am taking it as a sign that my stomach may be shrinking.

Am going to let myself have one blow-out over the Easter weekend and eat tons of chocolate but try to be good the rest of the time!

Rezolution · 03/04/2012 13:42

Hi folks, WI last night and still the same weight. Ah well, back to tracking.

KKKKaty · 03/04/2012 14:06

Hello all, can I join in?
I joined WW online a couple of weeks ago. I have a do to go to in August when I will be seeing lots of people who I won't have seen in nearly a year. Last time I saw them I was pretty much as I am now, a couple of stone overweight due to baby production. I am determined that when they see me in August they will be stunned at my new and sylph-like appearance. My first week on WW I lost four pounds (Yay, but it always drops off quick in the first couple of weeks, and that rate won't last). So I've got about 20 lbs to lose in as many weeks, so should be do-able.

Rezolution · 04/04/2012 12:23

Hi Katy, welcome to the thread. Yes, you can do it I'm sure. Once you start and get into a rhythm it will soon start to shift. Smile

AbbyLou · 04/04/2012 15:06

Hello all, can I join please? I'm faking it a bit by trying to do WW without joining! I have done it many times in the past so I know what it's all about. Last time I did it, it had just changed to Pro Points. It took me a while to get my head round it I must admit. I have loads of the old cookbooks and it's a pita trying to repoint everything. I hope I've remembered correctly that I was on 29 points last time and the weekly allowance was 49. So far, since Monday, I have used a few weeklies to help dh celebrate a new job with a couple of glasses of wine but that is all. I have been really good but have quite a lot to lose. I would like to lose at least 1 1/2 stone before I go away on 5th August. Does that sound doable?

KKKKaty · 04/04/2012 16:07

Hi AbbyLou, that's a very similar weight loss amount and timeframe to me! We should keep each other posted! I too have three or four of the old weightwatchers recipe books which are of course now useless, especially as they don't give the protein, carbs, fat etc. scores, so you'd have to type the whole recipe in I guess. A pain.

How does everyone cope with cooking the evening meal? I have an older baby and a toddler, and they need calories and fat etc. so I can't exactly produce salads all the time. I refuse to cook two meals, largely because I can't be arsed, but also because I think it's important that kids see you eating the same as them at the same time. Sometimes I find myself just having minuscule portions of whatever it is, which doesn't do a lot towards keeping me full all evening.

Debs75 · 04/04/2012 18:36

KKKKaty If I am eating the same as the dc's I add some extra veggies or salad to my plate. i also try and cut out the fatty bits and really high carb things like potatoes, pastry, cheese and pasta. Somenights I have different and that is usually a stirfry, I'm recently converted, which only took me 5mins to do after I had dished up everyone elses pasta bake and garlic bread.

I am having trouble with picking as we can't get out to do anything, Disney junior is boring me silly and it is so darn cold. I tend to eat if I'm cold, bored, unhappy, happy, upset or celebrating which can be all the time during dreary holidays. We need to be getting out but lack of money and the cold is making us huddle at home.

Rezolution · 05/04/2012 16:05

Debs It does help a bit if you eat your lettuce or stirfry BEFORE you feed the others with their carbohydrate stodgy stuff. Less tempted to pick iyswim. Or I eat a bit of fruit while I am in the kitchen to take the edge off my hunger.

Debs75 · 06/04/2012 08:56

WI and lost 2lbGrin 1lb to go for half a stone and 5lbs before i get to my first 5%.
My points have dropped by 1 but that shouldn't be too hard

Rezolution · 06/04/2012 18:05

Debs Congratulations, that is a good result. Now don't let the Easter Bunny sabotage all your good work. Wink

KKKKaty · 08/04/2012 13:49

Weigh in day today - only lost 1lb, which is OK but I was hoping for more considering that I am only on week 2. I stuck to my daily points only six days last week but went out for a meal on Thursday which I think scuppered things. I allocated all my weekly points to it but perhaps that wasn't enough. This week I am going to see if I can keep to daily and activity points only and not spend any of my weekly ones.
