Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

Thanks cider and misswoowoo Smile

Will definately try the water and green tea, thanks!

I'm back on track today though - only had 11 points and a banana so far today, and will have an 11 point dinner in a bit, and ww hot choc before bed. I could easily have given up last night to be honest but no. I am determined!

Littlefish · 15/03/2012 20:58

Just back from weigh in and I have lost 2 lbs. Grin. That's a total of 73.5lbs altogether. Just 1.5lbs to go til my 75lb certificate, and 3.5lbs until my 5 and a half stone loss.

Better still, I'm back on track for my mini target - 5lbs in 5 weeks!

Wow littlefish! Well done! Grin

MissWooWoo · 16/03/2012 07:52

73.5lbs Littlefish ... any advice for me? I seem to be losing and regaining the same 2lbs

featherbag · 16/03/2012 08:56

Weigh in this morning - was DH's birthday last weekend and DM had the small one overnight so we went for a meal then got trollied. Not expecting to have lost this week, although have been very good for the rest of the week, just hope I haven't gained as I'll be devastated! Wish me luck!

featherbag · 16/03/2012 08:58

Well done littlefish, 75lbs is my target so it's nice to hear some else has nearly managed it!

featherbag · 16/03/2012 11:28

Well, 2lb off so 15 down 60 to go! Was mortified though, a member had lost the equivalent of 4 x my DS's weight (19lbs), so the leader asked if she could pass him to the member as she was a little demotivated as still had a lot to lose - I cheerfully handed him over and he sat on this lady's knee and noisily filled his nappy Blush

Debs75 · 16/03/2012 11:52

Stayed the same this week which is good considering totm and lots of chocolate.
Littlefish That is great. I need to lose 75lbs in total but am going with 5% as mini targets.

Rezolution · 16/03/2012 12:13

littlefish Well done - congratulations! Envy
Yes, I am sure you deserve it after all your hard work. I tried the green tea and am carrying on with it even though it tastes like elephant's pee.
Off to the baths again this lunchtime while it is nice and quiet.
Have a slim weekend folks and keep off the carbs.

droves · 16/03/2012 16:24

Well done everyone who has lost this week.

Smile

littlefish - fab news - amazing [stalker]

MadMadamMim · 16/03/2012 18:49

Hello all, well done to the losers :o and to anyone struggling, I agree - nothing tastes as good as being slim feels!!! :o

I've done the shred for the last five nights, but I really feel I've earnt a break for one night! (Plus my left leg is wobbly and shaky and I'm scared I'm going to rupture something!) I'm going to do 45 mins on my exercise bike instead, I figure anything is better than nothing...

I weighed myself this morning (although my weigh in day is Tuesday) and I've lost two pounds since tuesday... But normally weekends are my downfall, so we'll see if I can maintain that loss!!

sparklesandwine · 16/03/2012 20:10

I had Frankie and Benny's for lunch went for a veggie pizza which I thought wouldn't be too bad and it was 25 pp and I have night out tomorrow for a friends birthday....I fear my weigh in won't go well Sad

whats the shred? Hmm

TiaDalma · 16/03/2012 20:16

Hi all,
Went to my second meeting last night, lost 2lb :) Thought I might have done better, but then realised i have done no exercise at all so maybe it's not so bad!
Still thats 2lb down, 40lb to go!
MadMadamMim Have you done the shred before? Have just ordered the dvd, after reading loads of good reviews.
Just had jacket potatoes from the takeaway with tuna and sweetcorn, and they sent us an extra garlic pizza bread with cheese on! Shock Do they not know i'm on a diet!? At least it was free so I didn't feel so bad about throwing it away, well, minus one piece!

MadMadamMim · 16/03/2012 21:05

I love it Tia - sabotage by takeaway owners!! :o Well done on your loss :)

Sparkle - the shred's a fitness DVD, I first heard about it on here. It's really intensive, but you only do it for half an hour. You're supposed to do it for thirty days - ten days on each level.

Tia - I really like it because it's not complicated (I'm very unco-ordinated and can fall over my own feet) and it's over quickly, but I can really feel it working. I do have guilt that I've had a night off tonight, so will have to get back on it tomorrow! It's a bit of a personal challenge for me, as I've never been able to make exercise part of my lifestyle.

sparklesandwine · 16/03/2012 21:21

Ah I see I thought it was code for something else Wink

I've never really done any fitness DVDs before as I haven't really had the time but DD2 is now at preschool so I may be able to fit something in now

CiderwithBuda · 17/03/2012 11:42

Well done Littlifish!

And all other losers of course!

A girl at the meeting I go to got her 75lb certificate this week. It's an amazing achievement.

I need to lose a bit more. Yikes. If I get to 11 stone DH has promised me a trip to New York. To get there I need to have lost 85.5 lbs!! 12 gone, 73.5 to go!!! Think I'll do myself a chart to tick off the pounds as they go.

Week going well so far. Have exercised. I go to a toning machine place and also do 10 mins on the power plate while there. It's a 20 min walk there so 40 mins round trip. Have done that 3 days and a 40 min walk on Thursday when I didn't go to the toning place. I'm really enjoying it and feel much better.

Am sticking to my points. Feel very in control and motivated at the moment. Although my sister is coming to stay on Tuesday for a few days so it will be a bit harder. We will be out a bit so I will have to be careful what I eat. Am going to sit down with WW cookbooks this afternoon and plan what to cook for dinner each evening.

Rezolution - I find the fruity green teas nicer.

Rezolution · 17/03/2012 12:58

cider Yes, maybe I'll buy a different flavour next. You sound very motivated atm. i did my jog/walk this morning but only 10 minutes. Wonder if I should up it to 20 minutes next week, maybe do it twice a day? That means I am repeating Week 2 of c25k but I don't care.
I have deleted all the carbohydrate type WW biscuits etc from my favourites on W/W online tracking. Not going to buy any more treats at W/W meeting as they are too tempting.Green salad for lunch and fruit salad for desert.

ObviouslyOblivious · 17/03/2012 19:40

Oh god, I've been struck down with the holy grail of dieters - DS's vomiting bug :( I hope the pain is worth the gain (or loss!)

ceebeegeebies · 17/03/2012 19:54

Well I have had a blow-out today Sad Took MIL out for an early Mothers Day lunch today but didn't eat until 3pm by which time I was beyond starving - by the time the food arrived, I couldn't help but pig out on starters etc. Also, eaten a lot of chocolate today...it has not been a good day (well, it has been a good day but not for dieting Wink)

Anyway, am being taken to Pizza Hut for lunch tomorrow (classy eh Grin) but I am going to have one of those 500 cal pizzas they have introduced and tons of salad! Plus I am going to Combat class in the morning and will do lots of walking round a zoo tomorrow so maybe all is not lost.

Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow Smile

CiderwithBuda · 18/03/2012 10:04

Resolution - I am very motivated now. Determined to shift this flab!

Can I ask why you only did 10 minutes jogging? I want to do C25K but need to lose more weight first for my knees sake! I know up thread you mentioned that the circuit didn't take you long. I know I used to walk a 5k loop running track and it used to take me about 40 minutes. I also noticed you said you swim a lot? Walking would be much better for losing weight.

Not trying to criticise what you are doing btw - just trying to help!

Yesterday was not as good as it could have been. DH made bacon sandwiches for lunch and I had that. Then we went out for dinner instead of lunch out today. Went to zizzi's. Researched in my WW Eat Out book beforehand what I would have and then got there and it wasn't on the menu any more! Forgot to take the book out with me so struggled to decide what to. We shared bread plate between 3 so that wasn't too bad. Didn't have a starter just a taste of DH's. Had a lemon chicken dish that was ok but not great so I only ate about two thirds of it. I also had two pieces of DS's pizza - end pieces that had hardly any cheese on. Also had three large glasses of wine. Haven't pointed any of it yet - too scared! Then was woken up by tea and toast in bed. DH had at least remembered to get DS to use my WW bread!

Off to help DS sort some stuff out and will then work out my points from yesterday. Yikes!

MadMadamMim · 18/03/2012 14:33

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I went out last night and over indulged in beer (oops) and I've eaten two fairy cakes today as a mothers day treat, as well as a roast dinner at my mum's which definitely will not have been calorie conscious!! I'm hoping that all the exercise I've done this week will help minimise the impact! Weigh in is Tuesday for me, so salad and ryvita from here on in!!

Rezolution · 18/03/2012 18:00

Cider Yes, I realise I need to do 20 mins jogging really but have been letting myself in gently. This week I am repeating Week 2 but doing TWENTY minutes instead of ten. Maybe I might split it into two sessions? I agree about swimming btw - am sure it is counter-productive because it makes me starving hungry. Always eat more points on swimming days. Weigh in tomorrow night so fingers crossed. Am only 2lbs off my target. Smile

Debs75 · 18/03/2012 20:07

More chocolate for me as I made mum a lush chocolate cake with chocolate ganache topping> it was incredible but a dieters nightmare with about 1 pounds of chocolate in it. I only had a medium slice but I did have a couple of chunks of chocolate whilst melting and have made truffles with the leftover ganache[embarrassed]

Right tomorrow is back to dieting, I have several veggie stir frys in the fridge and low fat soups so no more chocs or sandwiches. I have also decided no more mcdonalds. I always feel with a diet if you keep a 'treat' you are less likely to fail as the treat keeps you going. I worked out I have too many 'treats' so fortnightly McD's are out, the big tasty does take up a whole days points so I will have some roast veggies with fresh meat whilst the rest of the family pig out on processed burgers.

We are going to start exercising now ther weather is getting better. We have an outdoors gym near us which we could go to a couple of times a week and we do swimming once a week which is an easy enough walk away, dd2 might grumble but it won't hurt her. I'll save money on petrol as well

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 18/03/2012 22:26

Oh dear well I had WI this morning and had gained - more than 2 pounds in theory Blush Though I'm sure at least some of it was just temporary gain as I was still full from the night before, we got offered an unexpected babysit so ended up going out for a big Chinese banquet! So hopefully the actual lasting gain was a bit less.

It was a bit of a funny week though, the first half of the week I was being fairly good (still eating some weekly points but not going over that day's "share"), but still seemed to be staying the same or gaining weight. Hope I am not hitting a plateau, as the thought of having to be even more "good" is very depressing! I admit I was a bit naughty the last couple of days though, not just with the Chinese although that was the worst bit!

On the positive side I have finally started some "proper" exercise again (not just bits of walking) and have been to the gym twice in the last 3 days. So hopefully that will help matters - although it has made my sore feet flare up again Sad And at least I have been pretty good today despite it being Mothers' Day - we did have one treat (coffee shop visit), but only shared a cake and ate pretty well for the rest of the day, so it wasn't bad really.

Hope everyone else is OK, it sounds like there are a few of us climbing back on the wagon today or tomorrow!
