My other thread went poof I think (don't ask)

So I got weighed today as today is the day I face up to what I've done to myself.
My joints ache, I'm short of breath and sweaty and I have 2 outfits that fit.
Things have got to change.
Anyone up for a diet buddy/ hand holding?

yes sounds like worth getting checked out definitely!

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 22/02/2012 21:36

thanks punch and going The last time I low carbed (last year) this happened to me a few times in the year, but went away after a day or two. I am also long overdue for a smear... cant go at the moment but that is playing on my mind as I used to have to have them yearly as I had pre cancerous cells. If not back to normal tomorrow I will call and get an appointment, promise.

goingbacktowork · 23/02/2012 22:09

What happened - did you see someone Jax?

goingbacktowork · 24/02/2012 06:28

Where has everyone gone on this thread -we all dropped off the wagon already or have too little energy even to post :)

Punchthosecalories · 24/02/2012 07:26

I'm exhausted! Yawning and aching :( How are you?

goingbacktowork · 24/02/2012 08:06

I am bored - already (10 days in). I have had no weight loss on scales for 3 days (bearing in mind I am on CD) which is rubbish. My counsellor is really no good at all - she is only interested in selling the food really- it is difficult on your own doing this. I think I am going to also start on the CD thread as there is one really motivated lady on there who inspires me every time I read her posts. I guess we just need to push on . If we don't we may well be in the same situation or worse in 12 months time and i just cannot get any bigger than this.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 24/02/2012 08:35

morning all!

Right, lets get motivated. I have been reading some recipe books for inspiration - low carb ones and I have a whole load of interesting things to try out.

My new fave vegetable is Celeriac, it is tasty and fills the gap that spuds would without all the carbs and calories. Celeriac dauphinoise is delish and so easy to make.

going I havent been to the Dr yet, am waiting until next week. Woke up feeling great today, just about to make some egg for breakfast and take vitamins and then get up the hill with the dogs.

All those on VLCD remember to drink your water!

Come on, yesterday was a balmy 13 degrees here, just think how good it will be come summer to be able to have out tops and shorts on and no wobbly bits... ok, much less wobbly bits but we CAN do this.

Determination, motivation and good health! Grin

going is there anyone else local to you doing CD? Or another group you can join? You are paying for a service, so make sure you get what you need from it.

goingbacktowork · 24/02/2012 08:43

" just think how good it will be come summer to be able to have out tops and shorts on and no wobbly bits... ok, much less wobbly bits"

OK that is what I needed. Some FEAR that summer is coming.

onwards and upwards.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 24/02/2012 08:55

sorry, didnt mean to scare you, just get us all motivated again!

But summer is around the corner. We will NOT be the ones pretending it isnt too warm for a cardie...

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 24/02/2012 12:08

Agree agree agree. I want to be in... drumroll please.... short sleeved tops this summer. Fed up with being in long sleeves to hide arms. That's as far as I'm going!

I won some size 12 jeans on ebay yesterday, the same ones I have on now in size 16, the same as the 18s and 20s I have at home, and the 22s I chucked out 3 years back! I now have every size down to 10- motivatio motivation!

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 24/02/2012 12:18

well scarf that is motivation for you. I have a loft full of size 12/14 clothes that I was able to wear 3 years ago. I will get back into them by this summer!

Grin

we can do this.

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 24/02/2012 13:11

I wish I had a 'thin' wardrobe... but I am currently the thinnest I have ever been in my life! It's all new to me, I have no idea what my goal is or anything. Hopefully jeans won't go to waste, if I decide that 12 is me. But I don't care, cos then i know I can buy things in real shops rather than just M&S, Evans and Sainsbury's!

goingbacktowork · 24/02/2012 13:15

I have an extensive wadrobe of size 8-10 - yes hard to believe that is so old (6 years?) that will all have gone out of fashion I reckon. I have such a long way to go until there.

Welcome. We are all doing what we can on here and some of us have a long way to go. I know some ladies on here are low carbing too and would love to chat.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 24/02/2012 21:13

hi kotinka I am low carbing and you really need to ditch the vino. If you fancy a drink, how about a white spirit (vodka/rum/gin) with soda water and a squeeze of fresh lime or tonic water? or diet coke if you allow it.

Good luck. Feel free to PM me. I am doing Idiot proof diet.

have you measured yourself? Sometimes when the weight doesnt drop the inches do?

dont be disheartened - we need to treat ourselves, just not with food. How about a homemade hand scrub? some olive oil and sugar, nails painted.

Where are you in UK?

I am not a big wine drinker anyway, actually I dont drink often, unless I am out for the evening. Chocolate and crisps/cakes/biscuits have always been my downfall, but as I can have a little pork scratching that sorts out the craving and a tiny bit of warm cream with a grating of v dark chocolate sorts out any other sweet craving.

But the less I eat of that type of thing, the less I want it.

I havent been measuring this week or weighing, until this morning, looks like I have lost 4lbs but my scales are so dodgy and clothes are much looser so that is good.

I feel a little dizzy today, but think that is to do with the weird bleeding thing I have at the moment, defo going to Dr next week.

PeanutButterCupCake · 25/02/2012 13:24

Yes it is kotinka the full programme is 72 pounds a week.

OP posts:
goingbacktowork · 25/02/2012 17:41

ok - sitting here starving - what is a carbonara pack? You allowed meals on your diet [jealous emoticon].

PeanutButterCupCake · 25/02/2012 17:46

Hi going it's one of the food replacement packs, usually soup or shake. Was nice compared to some of the other nasty ones and has little bits of what looks like pasta in!

Just had pea and ham soup flavoured pack

Got tummy pains, hope it's not the dreaded constipation!
