The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions.
The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Hooray!!! Congratulations Mr Ali Grin, really pleased for you all.xx

ppeatfruit · 09/02/2012 15:24

Congrats Ali and also on the birth of the new thread!!!!!! well done Solo !!have you read the "I'm so hungry" thread they just ignored me; one of them is on a 600 cal diet Shock Shock I have a dream that one day all the threads on here will be about the Paul Mckenna or similar 'cos it's really all you need isn't it?

KinkyDorito · 09/02/2012 15:41

Ali That's great Grin. I hope you are celebrating.

Thank you for the subtle direction to here Solo and the new thread.

ppeat 600 cals. I'm surprised she isn't passing out. I'm off to have a nosey.

MardyBra · 09/02/2012 16:01

Marking my place. Restarted again yesterday after drifting. Had a weigh in and I'd lost two pounds since New Year, so whilst not exactly impressive, I was at least under control.

ppeatfruit · 09/02/2012 16:14

Welldone mardy That's just one of the great things about P.M. ( as Kinky said on the hungreee thread! I should be on commission shouldn't I) Grin You can pick it up where you left it and you don't have to spend a penny doing so Grin

MardyBra · 09/02/2012 18:13

Yep. New thread, new start. I really need to make myself listen to the PM on the ipod each day. If not, I just don't do it right, I find. Have been too busy with work and starting new quiches and stuff to get around to it lately!

LotsOfGoodFunThatIsFunny · 09/02/2012 18:52

Evening all :)

600 cal a day! Forget that I would rather eat peanut butter and chocolate spread on tiger bread Grin

I thought the people on the 'can I lose weight by march' thread were crazy saying they were eating 1200 cals.

Why can't people see that paulin is the only natural way to eat?! I just don't get it.

Hope everyone is doing well.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 09/02/2012 19:54

Great start to the thread whoop whoop ali, excellent news!
I need to restart tomorrow. Too much emotional eating, must buy new copy of the book since I gave mine to a friend who needed it.

SoloSewsSeedsOfLoveInPatchwork · 09/02/2012 23:18

600 calories?!!! bloody hell! that's disgusting and totally unrealistic and it wont work long term. Well not unless her aim is to make herself ill. Very silly IMO.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/02/2012 23:29

Solo I think she must be doing LL or one of those bonkers things.

God I loathe diets. How fabulous to have lost 6lbs since the new year without having to go on one then!! Grin

Weigh in for me tomorrow.

Mardy - considering that you haven't been consciously trying to Paul, that is really good. :)

SoloSewsSeedsOfLoveInPatchwork · 09/02/2012 23:31

I've added my piece too...seems as though they are bloody minded. They know what they are doing Hmm, but at least we know we are never 'dieting' again

LotsOfGoodFunThatIsFunny · 09/02/2012 23:34

The thing about a really calorie restrictive diets is that you end up losing muscle as well as fat?! Surely that isn't a good thing!

When anybody talks about dieting I always say about Pauling but some people just aren't prepared to listen. I personally think when it comes to your health you should be prepared to try anything but you have to be open minded and unfortunately a lot of people aren't.

Sorry if that's rambly I have had a couple of alcholic beverages Grin

SoloSewsSeedsOfLoveInPatchwork · 09/02/2012 23:35

Yes, Mardy that is good :)

The only diets I've ever done was Rosemary Conley in the late 80's. It worked for me and didn't go back on until 10ish years ago when I did the Atkins...worked for a short time and then went back on. Then I did a detox diet which worked Ok, but I just hated being on a 'diet.' PMK has freed me :)

SoloSewsSeedsOfLoveInPatchwork · 09/02/2012 23:37

I agree Lots I tell loads of people too, but they aren't open minded about it, so pooh pooh it.

stripygiraffe · 09/02/2012 23:42

Just checking in to our shiny new thread.
Weigh in for me too tomorrow. Have felt really positive these last few days. Loving doing some exercise and that I'm loving it Grin
Best appetite suppressant EVER. Or rather emotional appetite suppressant. Wink

SoloSewsSeedsOfLoveInPatchwork · 09/02/2012 23:44

Hello stripy :)

LotsOfGoodFunThatIsFunny · 10/02/2012 03:26

The people who dismiss Pauling the hardest seem to be those that need it the most.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 10/02/2012 08:04

Half a pound down :)

BUT

I've lost 1.5 inches off my middle! Shock In a week!

Have a good day everyone :)

ppeatfruit · 10/02/2012 08:38

Morning All Smile I've been back on that hungree thread to EXPLAIN to them that if you go hungry you PUT ON weight as we all know we'll see if there's a reaction Grin !!!

Yes Lots0f that's often the case with a lot of things they're in that big river in Egypt!! Grin WOO OOO Ali!!

stripygiraffe · 10/02/2012 09:48

Well done Ali. Inches are more important.

I'm sitting here wear a top I cannot usually fit into Grin

ppeat I'm away to lurk and see what mayhem you are causing.

BigBoobiedBertha · 10/02/2012 09:53

Morning,

Just marking my place. Off on hols later to see the PIL. Much packing (yuck) and a long drive (yuck) so probably won't eat much today except something a bit yuck on a motorway services on the M6 somewhere.

Alibaba - Congratultions to your DH and your inches!Smile

600 calories is daft. Nothing else to be said about it really - you can't do that every day.

I got into a mini-ruck this week with people who are deluded enough to think that diet drink help you lose weight because they contain no calories. 'I'm fat but I don't drink diet drinks because I want to lose weight, I just like the taste (weirdos) and they don't do me any harm', is what I got told.

Obviously not just diet drinks but anything with artificial sweetner leaves you fatter than somebody who eats the full sugar version but they weren't having it. I was even told that research on the obesity/diet drink link was the same as studying homeopathy. Hmm

Head in the sand or what. Weightwatchers don't want you to buy all their crappy products because they work. They want you to get sucked in and buy them because they don't work. The customer can continue with their miserable battle with their diet forever more because they are unknowingly sabotaging their efforts by consuming this stuff and the diet business gets to make mega bucks forever more as a result.

Rant over. Suppose I better go and pack.

LotsOfGoodFunThatIsFunny · 10/02/2012 10:50

It's like paul McKenna says diet businesses want you to fail as they will then make more money.

What I don't understand is when people are told they won't concieve unless they loss weight or they have type 2 diabeties but they still won't try Pauling because 'i couldn't eat my food slowly' or 'I like my food really hot' this is your health people!!!

Sorry about the bad spelling and the rant but I just don't get it!

ppeatfruit · 10/02/2012 14:03

LotsofA few threads ago we had someone criticising us saying P.M. is in it to make money as if W.W. and all the others aren't!! his income is NOTHING compared to those big boys !!

That hungry thread is getting worse; 400 cals a day anyone??????!!!!! Shock Shock I HAD to answer that one I normally give up but REALLY!!!!!

ppeatfruit · 10/02/2012 14:16

He's probably not rich enough for you solo Smile Grin.

My diet history is that after I noticed my waist looking larger (in a photo) than I wanted I got a book called Fit For Life which -along with some weird stuff- was good in that I gave up my daily cup of strong coffee and ate fruit on an empty stomach also went on the Hay diet though it's not a diet just a WAY of eating. All of which I do along with the Blood type 'cos it's more for health and lost the desired weight. BUT gradually over the years I put on more than I wanted so discovered P.M. and acupressure (the muffin top exercises) and here I am!!
