Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

i think cheese said til tomorrow, so only another day to grin and bear it. Count to 10 cheesey!

grinningbee · 06/03/2012 15:13

Oh, Cheese! Try and think happy non stabby thoughts. It's only until tomorrow...

Visit to dad was lovely, him and my step mum are very understanding of the current situation... step mum was married to an alcoholic, so knows rather too well what's going on. I told her some of the things that Thing has been saying and she nodded very knowingly Sad.

On the house front, Thing took the form in today to officially accept, subject to viewing. And we should be getting keys on the 19th. EEEEEEK! And he also tells me he signed a form to add me onto the agreement... I shall await my form in the post then Grin. I wonder when we'll get to see inside it...

I'm a bit calmer nowGrin, thanks all. Yes, it's till tomorrow. It's just worse as DH is on lates so it's me and them till tomorrow. Urgh!

Exciting about the house bee, woohoo!
Well done on choc avoidance csws, good to have you back!

Riapwhatyousow · 06/03/2012 16:10

yay bee, that's a lovely birthday present for me, knowing you're getting keysSmile. Glad your visit with your dad went well, glad you have some famiy support closeby.

could you slip something into their food cheese, and drug them til your DH is home to share?Wink

I am SO incredibly bored and tired. am not going to college as I can't face the drive, but I could do with the distraction TBH.

DH is in one of his time wasting moods - have booted him off the laptop so he stops playing that sodding train game on FB, so he is playing wii fit with DS3

Riapwhatyousow · 06/03/2012 18:49

Annoying Husband alert.

kid · 06/03/2012 20:00

My Dh is having an arugment, with the ref on TV! Yes, football is on but I don't care as I'm distracting myself on here.

I've made lunch for tomorrow and I've been on my new power plater which was delivered today. Its so funny, DD thought it was hilarious that it made my belly wobble. Hopefully it can wobble it until it vanishes? I wonder how soon I'll see results and how often I should use it?
I did 10 minutes earlier on programme 1, it was pretty intense and I could feel my muscles crying out in pain.

Riapwhatyousow · 06/03/2012 20:58

I was going to menu-plan/do shopping list, but DS3 is being hideous so I'll do it tomorrow

kid · 06/03/2012 21:33

He is watching the Arsenal Vs Milan match, its looking good for Arsenal at the moment.

I do just stand on the plate. Its set to change speed so your muscles contract and relax which is the best way to work them, apparently. I've been on it twice tonight and it feels like I've done a workout at the gym. My shoulders are very achy. I am going to use it at least twice a day, maybe 3 times if I can plus I'll still go gym as usual 2 or 3 times a week for a 45 - 60 minute class.
What with doing SW most of the time, I should be able to shift loads of weight while toning up quickly.

Kids have a habit of not wanting to sleep when you really want or need them to. I hope your DS3 settles soon. I sent DC off to bed 15 minutes ago and they are asleep already. They are so well trained, but they are much older at 13 and 9.

I made shish kebabs tonight, they were lovely and after marinating in the fridge overnight, they only took 20 minutes to cook. I also added a dip of yogurt and lime.
I still don't like cooking though!

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/03/2012 22:20

Can I just ask, do none of you meal plan more than a day or so in advance? It never sounds like it from what gets posted, but maybe you don't all mention it. I meal plan for a few days at a time, and then do my online shop each week or so based on what we need for the planned meals.

I didn't gain tonight thankfully, although didn't lose either. It's the first time I've not lost since I started SW in October Shock. I feel like a mega binge (the choc marzipan bar that I discovered in the fridge yest is calling to me!) but am trying not to. Have made do with the 'yin and yang' from my graze box (almonds, dried cherries, giant sultanas and dark choc discs).

kid · 06/03/2012 22:27

I usually meal plan just for the following day, but on Saturday, I planned for the whole week and went shopping for all the ingredients. It's much better knowing what meals I'm making as it helps me stick to plan.

I need to get better at recording syns though. I messed up today by having 3 HEbs. But as I kept syns low, I'm hoping I'll be ok.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/03/2012 23:04

I do 7 days worth of plans as I do an online shop once a week. That way there is no waste and it saves money.

I survived tonight without killing anyone. FIL remarked how organised / busy I am while watching me simultaneously cook dinner/ prepare lunches and pour him a glass of wine. have I mentioned he is a sexist pig? I had 2 gins but resisted choc and scones.

Anyway off to bed. Silly o'clock alarm tomorrow. Don't forget it's the DOD tomorrow... PM me your stats.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/03/2012 07:11

Not happy with my weigh in at all. But had a bad weekend with DDs party do its to be expected!

B: weetabix, fruit
L: chicken and cous cous salad, yog, apple
D: prawn stirfry
1.5 hr gym sesh.

Hi ho, hi ho.....

FriendofDorothy · 07/03/2012 07:55

I'm not happy either. I didn't lose or gain this week. Didn't think I had been that bad apart form Saturday night.

pixiestix · 07/03/2012 08:30

I lost 1.5lbs which I guess I should be pleased with, but, God, this is a long slow road! Angry Can't I just be thin and gorgeous already please????? Grin

Only about another stone to go so should only take me another twenty years at this rate....

Hedgepig · 07/03/2012 08:34

Dot it happens sometimes. CSWS the first non-loss since Oct is very very good.
I forgot to weigh in this morning I still haven't officially reached target at group which I really want to do to draw a line in the sand and I have been getting a bit mixed up as in my head I'm trying to maintain but I still need to loose for the official SW weigh in Confused

I do meal plan for about 4 days at a time but then I always cook something different to that which was planned absolutely bonkers!

grinningbee · 07/03/2012 09:58

Morning all!

I always plan for 7 days too, and write the shopping list for what I need to make it. What order it comes in the week depends on how quick the meat etc will go off, or what I feel like cooking.

This week for example was/is:

Piri piri pork x 2 nights
Beef meatballs x 2 nights
Spinach and pepper cannelloni x 2 nights
Quorn chilli x 2 nights (1 for freezer)

I've weighed in as well. I only deal in 1/2lb's or more, so this week's loss of 1/4lb won't count. I've got away with murder this week though as the weekend certainly wasn't good.

Food for the day:

Ready brek, 1 ryvita with 1 tsp jam, banana
Omelette, fruit and a yogurt
Beef meatballs in spicy tomato sauce and veggies

Cheese Your FIL sounds adorable. Maybe he should meet my MIL... Grin

AlpinePony · 07/03/2012 10:33

I'm sorry, I'm barely keeping up with you this last week, but congratulations to so many of you for not having murdered your nearest and not so dearest.

One measly pound for me.

pixiestix · 07/03/2012 11:30

Bee are you back to your pre-Christmas weight yet?

I only ask because I'm not and I'm feeling a bit ashamed that it is now fucking March Blush

grinningbee · 07/03/2012 13:23

Um, nope. I'm not. I think I'm still 6.5lb over it Angry It's all my own fault, and maybe a smidge down to Thing cheesing me off. But it's still me who's put the food in the old cake hole.

I'm not expecting great things for the next few weeks, more maintenance really. What with packing the house and moving I would say in the next 3 weeks (subject to actually seeing it!) it's going to get a little tricky. And stressful. And that means chocolate. I'm so weak willed!

Off to see Dr Google in the morning to find out what happens next with Freddy the Fibroid. Should be fun Hmm

Huffpot · 07/03/2012 14:09

Hi all...again just been skimming
Aren't inlaws the pits? One of my boyfriends mums used to tell all the daughter in laws(she has 4 sons) how she used to have to put a cushion under her knees whilst performingshudder oral activities on her husband....and my if you could have seen them they make me look like Twiggy!

Hopefully all the vomitting has left everyones houses.

I weigh in tonight so will try and remember to PM to be on the list

hopefully its a loss...less than 2 months until my parents arrive -will have been nearly 2 years since I've seen them and had a newborn so would like to have lost some!

Riapwhatyousow · 07/03/2012 14:21

bee and pixie, I am back where I started more or less, so I will join you in the naughty corner - shove up!

hedge - I do that too. Plan carefully and then cook something different. I never stick to a full weeks plan.

must go and get organised for tonight, I've had a text from DS1 and he will be starving as the prices of the school canteen have gone up, but his FSM allowance has notHmm

kid · 07/03/2012 15:56

If i meal plan then I'm sticking to it! No point in planning, which for me is hard work, and then not following it.

I'm not feeling too good today, I have horrible stomach cramps so I'm wondering if the dreaded lurgy has hit us.

I did manage to eat my lovely lunch which was cheesy potato bake (wedges, onions, garlic, tomatoes and cheese) and I've got mushroom pasta for dinner tonight.
I think this weeks weigh in confirms I shouldn't skip sw at the weekends. I really stuffed my face and i know that has affected my result.

Best pm my results before I have to go and get ds. I'll go on my machine when I get back although I doubt it'll do my cramps any good!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/03/2012 18:08

Just came home starving so shoved a huge piece of cake in my mouth. Now regretting it, FFS!

thescarlettpimpernel · 07/03/2012 18:55

Cheese if it makes you feel any better, my parents arrived last night with some celebratory cream cakes, then I cooked them a fry up ( a highly restrained vegetarian one, it's true, but there was still a fair bit of butter), then they took us to lunch and it was raining and I saw the lights of Nando's and couldn't resist, then I had to do some baking for some pals and have eaten cookie dough and 2 'test' cookies and I am now going out to supper and am apparently being cooked 'gourmet burgers.' I already feel sick

If I were a hermit I would be so thin.

Sorry not to have been around: hope everyone's doing well, ie, better than Scarlett 'Fatty boom boom' Pimpernel Hmm

pixiestix · 07/03/2012 18:56

Glad its not just me! Actually thats not very loyal is it? Blush

Huff that is a seriously nasty image to have had conjured up for you of your PILs.

Kid your lunch sounds gorgeous!
