Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Thanks everyone Grin

Hedge, could you pm her on FB?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 21:45

I think her DH can access her FB

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 21:48

I have that thought in my head too, I'm sure she will be in touch when she can.

Riapwhatyousow · 28/02/2012 22:35

yay debka. well done you.

hi scarlett. sounds a good holiday. I would love to go all-inclusive. I am certain I would embrace it wholeheartedlyWink I also would love a go a quad biking (feel it wouldn't be that different to my drving TBH).

I have to confess to having a sneaky peek at bee's FBBlush, and she hasn't been on there either. Fingers crossed this is all for a good reason. Sending positive vibes and hugs over the ether.

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 22:42

I've just been googling local newspapers for her county Ria to make sure she's not in them Blush

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 22:44

Hope dorothy is ok too, she hasn't been around for a bit. Sad

kid · 28/02/2012 22:44

Even if we did send a message via FB, even just a general 'hi' message, we wouldn't know for sure if the response was from her or her H.
I do hope everything is okay for her.

FriendofDorothy · 28/02/2012 22:46

Hiya I am here. I am ok. Just wallowing a bit. :(

kid · 28/02/2012 22:46

I was just about to do the same Hedge!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 22:47

I'm sure she's fine, just preoccupied.

Oh glad you are still around dotty, anything we can help you wallow with / in?

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 22:49

::waves to Dorothy:: lovely to hear from you Smile

we are a big bunch of worry warts aren't' we. Anyway I'm just about to set up the sofa bed DH is full of cold and coughing his head off so I'm sleeping down here to get some peace and quiet, night all sleep tight

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 22:50

And it's night from me, 6 am alarm. Urgh...

kid · 28/02/2012 22:54

I did find out on FB that her H was online 4 hours ago (we could become detectives!)
Thats all I found out though, so maybe not such a good detective after all!

FriendofDorothy · 28/02/2012 22:59

Nah I am ok. Just missing my cat. As we are living with my parents at the moment Mum has decreed that we are not to get any kittens until we get our own house!

kid · 28/02/2012 23:06

Sad FOD.
I cried for months when my puppy died, we only had him for 5 months when he passed away. It was awful and I really didn't imagine I'd ever get over it but I did. Give yourself plenty of time to grieve and if anyone dares to say 'it was only a pet', hit them hard!

Riapwhatyousow · 28/02/2012 23:15

Sad dorothy.

kid, I'm glad you've looked too (bee this is all concern, not snooping in any way). I noticed he had been on over the weekend a bit.

As I am currently thinking of ways to murder exBIL without being detected, I should steer clear of contraversial H conversations!

slinky (and everyone) thanks for your empathy re my rant. My DM mostly means well, and she is under immense pressure just now holding it together and being supportive and tactful with Dsis, so it's fair enough I cop the flack and I'll take it (and moan about itWink), it's just the weight stuff grates a bit (I will tell myself it's all just random conversation and means nothing reagarding my inability to lose any weight at all). DM was a bit rude when we announced the expectation of both DS1 and DS3 though, but she loves them now so I'll let that goWink and forget the rest !

kid · 28/02/2012 23:23

The pain in my leg is back tonight {sad]
I thought it had vanished as its been a few days without any pain. I was even going to cancel my Drs appointment so I could go gym class on that day instead. I am so glad I didn't now.

Less than a week until I see the Dr. I am fairly certain that they are just going to say its nothing but I'll go anyway. I do hope there is a reason why its hurting, as then I'll know how to stop it. Painkillers do nothing and its too painful to just ignore.

Right, time for bed. Please let the scales be kind to be tomorrow. I have been mostly good.

Riapwhatyousow · 28/02/2012 23:26

kid, do you have a drop-in centre you could go to instead? (I have been to our new one with DS1 once, and I was very impressed).

Good luck for tomorrow all, I will WI if DH sets up the Wii before I go to school. I know I could WI on a different day, but I find it really hard to be on a different day to the rest of the thread. Another silly excuse!

kid · 28/02/2012 23:37

We have the option to see a Dr on the same day but its annoyingly awkward if you work. I'd have to phone before 9 and then be available to take a call anytime between 9-1. Then the Dr will decide if they need to see me and can request I come in at any time after the phone call. Totally useless for me as I'm at work. Of course if I was too ill to be at work then fine, but as it is, I can go to work and just complain about my leg to everyone! lol

Cheeseandbiscuits · 29/02/2012 07:56

Morning all.

It's the DoD so PM me.

Just on tube so quickie
Food:
B: weetabix
L: chicken salad, fruit
D: quorn chilli and salad
Gym tonight too!

grinningbee · 29/02/2012 10:01

Hello you lovely ladies!

I'm so sorry if you've been worried. It's been impossible to get back here due to Thing being around, and the dc have been playing up something shocking. I actually have a few minutes now - hurrah!

Thing is acting as though everything is ok, but the reality is, I'm waiting for the next lie. Bound to be I s'pose. Last Wednesday he went to the supermarket on his way home. He turned up here at about 5.30 smelling of drink. He still claims he didn't have one, although he went into the pub to talk to someone (yeah, right). Well, I found the receipt for the shop, and it was 3 hours before he came home. So allowing even 45 mins to get back here (30 would be enough though) we have a good couple of hours missing...

Anyway. I have to bide my time and try and get something behind me. The housing issue is looking interesting again, but more on that another time.

FOD I am so sorry about your cat. It's heartbreaking. I had a brother and sister for 14 years, and they went within weeks of each other when dd was newborn. Awful. Big hugs to you.

Thanks to all of you for just being there on the other end of the laptop. It's daft, but it helps to know you're all there. It's going to be an interesting year I think!

Off to catch up on what the rest of you have been up to now.

Hedgepig · 29/02/2012 10:35

BEEEEEEEE ((hugs)) Grin nice to see you back

TheScarlettPimpernel · 29/02/2012 10:49

Oh bee mate, good to see you . Hope it can all be resolved quietly and peacefully in the way that suits you best...

Kid sorry about your leg Sad - any progress on an appt?

Dot it is permitted to get a mega case of the sads about animals. I missed our puss when we were away and I am not ashamed to admit it...

Viva at 3pm. I think I might be sick. I don't think I know anything about anything. They're going to laugh at me aren't they

I'll be back either celebrating or wailing or in a weird catatonic state sometime tonight. Wish me lucks....

grinningbee · 29/02/2012 11:04

Just read through and caught up - and will admit to being in tears. You bunch are the most lovely people I don't know, iykwim.

I have wondered if Thing or one of his friends was snooping on here - and of you are, please bugger off. You won't read anything good.

Alpine Congrats on DS, and on getting married. Lovely news! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Kid Yay for the waist reduction. Honestly, measuring really shows you the difference over the scales.

Ria Sad and Angry about your family situation. Do you remember a 5 stone weight loss thread? Yep, I was on that one, and another in August 2007 with you. Back when the password was bandied around, and then we got into trouble Grin.

Debka I shall get the pom poms ready for next week for you when you go down into the next stone.

Cheese How's the party planning going for the little walking girlie? Re holidays, I've found Haven to be ok (I know lots don't). I'm supposed to be going to Ria's neck of the woods in May to a site there. My friend loves centreparcs though. It looks nice, but a bit expensive. There's one not too far from here in Sherwood Forest.

Hedge Ah, bless you and your biscuit tin. I read one of the stories in the Sw mag where someone got to target, celebrated too hard and put 7lb on the following week. It's allowed you know Grin

FOD I hope you're ok.

CSWS Maybe you could be the list consultant - we can't tell if you're being grumpy or not on the internet Wink

Slinky Congrats on the move - and kebabs! Hope DS is feeling better now, poor sausage.

TSP Good luck today with the viva! I need to know about the crocodile - was it sunning itself on your head? Catching mossies to eat? A snazzy hairgrip? Grin Glad it was a good holiday. Love the thought of driving in the sahara.

Sorry if I missed anyone, I didn't mean to

I just want to cuddle you all

Now then, seeing as you like detective work - how do you find out if someone really got divorced...? I need to check, because if that turns out to be a lie as well I shall be collecting you all up (with or without dc) in a coach and handing out blunt rusty pitchforks.

And how much do you think is a good amount to save before making the leap of faith? I can't go with nothing.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 29/02/2012 11:18

Ooooh, it feels good to be back Smile

TSP You know loads. You will be perfectly fine - if you get stuck, I'm sure you could spend a good hour talking about steam powered vibrators . And anyone who hasn't read that thread will now be doing a puzzled face Grin
