Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

That's true csws, you would always have to be over cheerful!

Day off today. Not much planned, good friends have had a wee boy so will get some presents for them.
Food:
B: weetabix fruit
L: chicken and cous cous salad
D: beef casserole, pots, veggies.

debka · 28/02/2012 09:46

Yes 25 mins straight, I honestly can't believe I'm doing it, I have been an exercise avoider my whole life. I'm scared to stop though, or have a day off, I'd never get started again.

I'd make a great consultant, I am annoyingly, relentlessly cheerful, everyone would hate me Grin

kid can I suggest making extra of your tea every day then having that for lunch the next day? That's what I often do, then I don't need to think about it.

Hope grinnigbee is ok, what a horrible situation for her :(

I have been ridiculously virtuous this week, if I don't have an impressive loss tonight I'll be at the chippy drowning my sorrows in the deep fat fryer Grin

Have a lovely day off cheese and good days everyone else.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 09:55

Haha debka, are you irritatingly happy all the time then? 25 min is amazing, jeepers! You must be becoming super fit. I agree about leftovers for lunch, so much easier.

debka · 28/02/2012 09:57

Yes I am Grin, you know how some people get a reputation on here for being grumpy or aggressive? Well I've been hounded off threads for being too cheerful!

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 10:00

I love a bit of left overs Grin

my food today:
B Melon and low fat yog and a shredded wheat
L leftover chicken veg and potatoes
D Fish pie

snacks: carrots grapes apple muller light etc

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 10:01

LOL debka please stay and keep us cheery Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 10:09

Haha no hounding here. Promise!

I'm holiday hunting, help me decide. It needs to be UK as we can't afford abroad. we want to stay SE England. Bear in mind Isobel will be 16 months in July.

options:

  1. Caravan in a pretty scummy site in Sussex but decent caravan for a week. Pool etc looks crap and reviews arent great.
  2. 4 nights centerparcs
  3. self catering cottage camber sands or similar - more pricey. And if the weather is crap, what would you do.
  4. Poshio caravan site. Pretty expansive but has indoor and outdoor pool etc.

Opinions?

Riapwhatyousow · 28/02/2012 10:23

LOL debka, I am relentlessly miserable!

csws, I probably joined 2005/6-ish, back in the day when you could get the PW on hereBlush, I am +1 DC and +approx 2 stone from thenSad

masses of college work to do today. Toast...

SlinkyB · 28/02/2012 12:21

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Moved house on Friday, it all went well thanks to dp's amazing family who all helped out (kebabs were on us Friday night, washed down with champagne; classy!).

Just caught up on thread, do hope bee is ok, I have been thinking of her lots. Was climbing the walls not having internet Fri/Sat/Sun and most of yesterday. DS has had sickness bug over the weekend, so slept a lot which means we're mostly un-packed and organised. Had planned trip to Ikea today whilst he was at nursery, but couldn't send him in so I'm at home whilst dp has gone alone, detailed list in hand.

debka well done on running, I've always hated exercise and still do, aged 30. I keep hoping that, like you, one day something will just 'click' and I'll get into something and stick to it. Haven't been to zumba for weeks for one reason or another.
Alpinepony Welcome back! Congratulations on the marriage and ds too! Grin. I'm now engaged to be married in Sept, can't wait. Well done for getting back on the SW wagon so quickly after giving birth; I'd have waited at least six three months. I lost 1st 10lbs (I think) in total and am now an official DoD Target Member
hedge I've been meaning to suggest a nn change for you for a while; something along the lines of 'BiscuitFiend' or 'Cantstopeatingbiscuits' Wink.

kid you do sound super-organised with the menu-planning, and looks like CSWS is keeping you on the straight and narrow.
FoD so sorry to hear about your cat know how pets have a habit of worming their way into your heart.

SlinkyB · 28/02/2012 12:25

Am splitting this into two posts so it doesn't look quite so rambly...

ria read your post about your family, doesn't sound great, Mums have a way of upsetting you like no-one else, don't they? My DM comes out with some classics (like when I told her what we had named ds, she was like "what?! urgh?!") but I just let it go over my head. She also vents to me about my sis, but I try and bite my tongue. Mothers eh, who'd have em?! Wink.

cheese! How goes it old fruit? How are the I's birthday plans coming along?

Oh, btw, I'm dreading DoD tomorrow as I've mostly been eating junk and drinking Coke or wine, mmmm...

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 13:25

Slinky welcome to your new home Grin . my moms classic was when I told her I was pg with DS2 was "but how will you cope!" I didn't think we were doing too bad a job with DS1 but ho hum. I'm liking the name change idea Biscuit

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 15:31

Hiya slinks glad the move went well. Did DS shower your new house in puke then?Grin hope he is better. Laughed at kebabs and fizz, Mmmmm! Party plans going Ok, small family one this Sat then informal drop in for a drink the sat after. Thanks for asking - and remembering. Bet you haven't put on a pound lifting all those boxes!

kid · 28/02/2012 15:55

Making extra dinner sounds like a great idea, I think I'll have to give that a go when I am short of time or fancy a lie in
The problem with that is, no matter how much dinner I make, it always gets eaten by this greedy bunch.

I am so rubbish at doing personal messages as my brain is like a sieve. I read it, go to post and its all gone! I probably need to flip the thread so the last few replies are at the bottom rather than how its currently set with them right at the top.

Glad to move went well Slinky, hope everything is all sorted and great news to have internet access back. I literally would go insane without it.

Cheese I'd go for option 2, centerparcs. I've never been there but it does look good. I'd definintely avoid the one with the rubbish reviews tbh.

I was never ever keen on exercise but last year I joined the gym. I was really good at going at one point. I spent on average 3 hours there a week (spread out over 3 days) but thats slipped down to 2 days at the moment with is still pretty good. I do aim to build back up to 3, I may even consider 4 but thats got to be my limit.
I also walk to and from work everyday. I'm lucky to work close to home so I don't have to rely on public transport plus I get in some extra exercise each day. It usually takes me about 15 minutes to walk each way.

I am meant to be preparing dinner but the laptop was calling me as I got in and it would have been rude to ignore it!

TheScarlettPimpernel · 28/02/2012 17:28

I'm home!

I am suffering a touch of Pharaoh's Revenge

Time abroad summarised thus:

  1. I'm shit at haggling
  2. If you go quad biking in the Sahara at 30mph having never learned to drive, you will think you are going to die
  3. Someone put a baby crocodile on my head
  4. When they say All Inclusive they do actually mean you can eat and drink non-stop 24 hours a day.

I shall not be weighing myself tomorrow . I will do a week of SW then weigh on next DoD. I am HUGE!

I actually have my Viva tomorrow and am in the middle of preparing so forgive my not posting more/catching up...look forward to getting back into the swing of it all!

SlinkyB · 28/02/2012 18:16

Sounds like you had an, umm, interesting holiday Scarlett! What on earth is a Viva? Thought it was another MN way of describing AF for a moment, and wondered why one would have to prepare Confused.

Yes, ds splattered the utility area and my slippers with thick, milky, phlegm-speckled puke on Saturday am, and the living room floorboards on Sunday am. Lovely. He had nothing but water and a few bits of dry food for a couple of days, and now seems much better but very lethargic. He seems even more obsessed with biscuits than Hedge now though, eek. Was possibly a bit too lenient as he was ill (they're only rich tea fingers, but still) but have now hidden them and am putting my foot down, and ignoring ds's quivering lip and cries .

Anyone heard from bee? I'm worried Sad.

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 18:26

Id totally missed her other thread over the weekend Blush, I hope she is ok too.

kid · 28/02/2012 19:51

Its not like bee to come on here, I really do hope everything is okay. I don't suppose anyone has anyway of contacting her in RL?

Sounds like a great holiday TSP. I can drive but the thought of riding a quad bike through the Sahara terrifies me even though I have been driving for over 17 years.
Not sure why someone would put a baby crocodile on your head, I assume it had teeth so surely it could try and eat you pmsl.
We always go on All Inclusive holidays now. Its part of the rules to eat and drink as much as you possibly can so you get your moneys worth. This year we are going to Turkey. DD has to pay adult fare (at 13 Angry) so me and DH have even more food and drink to consume to get out moneys worth. Mind you, DS can really pack away the food so I'm sure he'll help us eat loads!

I've been a good girl and have saved some pasta from tonights dinner for tomorrows lunch. Just got to put something with it now.

kid · 28/02/2012 19:55

I meant 'Its not like bee not to come on here'

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 21:04

I'm worried about her too Sad.

Welcome back TSP. Sounds like an amazing hol.

Time for biggest loser!

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 21:15

I just PMed her via MN hopefully she will reply. I've just weighed myself for tomorrow and I've put on 2lb, pretty crap for my 1st week of trying to maintain Blush

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 21:19

TSP forgot to say sounds like you had a good holiday and good luck for tomorrow

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 21:20

I PMd her too last Fri I think, no reply Sad

debka · 28/02/2012 21:23

Welcome back TSP, I missed you. Your holiday sounds fab, I'd love to know what you've put on though Grin

Hedgepig, oops- everyone puts on their first week at taregt though, you'd not be human if you lost.

Well I lost the grand total of FIVE POUNDS and am currently proudly wearing my Greatest Loser sash, o yes, bet you're all jealous now Grin. Without wanting to sound ungrateful, I really wanted 5.5lbs this week because it would have got me under 20 stone , but hey, there's always next week so long as the 2 bowls of cereal and bar of chocolate I just ate don't stick

Hedgepig · 28/02/2012 21:33

well done debka must be all that running Grin you have done amazingly well ::pulls out bunting and carrot sticks to celebrate::
Cheese this is what I have about MN sometimes you really get concerned about people but don't actually know them in RL to check if they are OK, I'm reluctant to use FB as I think he is on her friends list

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/02/2012 21:35

Woohooooooo debka, you bloody legend!! GrinGrinGrin

I agree hedge, best not to FB. Eeeeek what to do.
