Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Morning all!

Don't worry too much kid, it's a new day today. I also fell off the wagon over the weekend. Back on it today though. Well done on hip inches.

debka how do you stay so virtuous over the weekend?
bee and ria hope you are both OK.
slinky I hope you are curled up in your new home!

B: weetabix and fruit
L: tuna and cous cous salad, fruit
D: spag Bol and salad

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/02/2012 14:02

Where is everyone?

debka · 27/02/2012 14:23

I'm here cheesey Grin

Got the girls in bed for naps and sitting with my feet up and an Options hot choc- had a mega binge craving but hopefully staved it with this.

I also don't buy biscuits, and only make cakes for the family that I don't like Grin

Food today
B- all bran, apple, pear, then beans with some grated cheese at about 10am cos I were starved
L- pasta n sauce, a carrot
D- chilli and rice with Total Fat Free yoghurt, it was bloody pricey but I love the full fat stuff, want to see if the fat free is as good.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2012 15:52

Gosh, still no bee? Hope you're okay.

kid · 27/02/2012 16:41

I'm home from work and am thinking about making dinner but I'm not in any rush even though I'm starting to feel hungry.
I had to get some bits of out the cupboard to season DH's dinner and I saw the biscuit tin. It's see-through so I can see all the biscuits looking at me, just begging to eaten. So, I closed the cupboard and put the laptop on instead.

As soon as I got in from work, I cut DS's hair. It was getting long and scruffy so it looks a lot better now.

I've got gym class at 6. I feel okay about going but I know I'll regret it for a couple of days after.

I do hope bee is okay, she did say it can be tricky to get online over the weekend so hopefully we'll see her back real soon.

Riapwhatyousow · 27/02/2012 16:46

hi kid. do you eat before gym or after? well done on biscuit avoidance. I am starving.

to bee

kid · 27/02/2012 17:06

I should eat before I go as I haven't had anything to eat since 12:30 but I'm running out of time. Looks like I'll really enjoy my dinner when I get home. Just hope I don't pass out at the gym.

I really need to get just a little bit more organised. I thought I was doing well as I know what I'm having for dinner, shame it takes over an hour to cook. I could start it now and finish it off when I get back and make do with an apple before I go gym.

I have another HEb to have, maybe I'll have a couple of ryvita and cottage cheese to keep me going.

debka · 27/02/2012 17:08

kid out of sight is definitely easier, I stash everything nice where I can't see it.

I eat with the girls and DH at 5.45 then run at about 7, haven't had any problems so far but I do run like a snail

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/02/2012 20:27

I don't buy anything naughty as I simply can't be trusted

I'm bloody tired tonight. Dd is upstairs wheezing away so I'm not expecting a good nights sleep - DH on nights again. I think it's a hot choc then off to bed!

How's the running going debka?

debka · 27/02/2012 21:39

Running going great, thanks, cheese, 25 minutes now Shock

I'm off to bed too having valiantly resisted the chocolate all bloody evening.

Hope your night is better than expected cheese, have you tried the vicks on the feet trick?

Night all, see you tomorrow, weigh day for me

kid · 27/02/2012 21:56

Does it matter if you don't eat both HEbs?
Today, I've had:

B: 2 weetabix (b), milk (a)
L: Pasta, leeks, peas, 2x cheese triangles, black pepper (can vouch that this is a very nice meal)
Muller light
Apple
D: 2 onion and tomato tortilla.

I haven't had anything else today and I'm not even hungry at the moment. I think I need to buy some alpen light bars but I tend to only stock up on them when they are on offer.
I need to know what other HEb choices I can have. I know 2 slices wholemeal bread (from 400g loaf), 2 or 4 ryvitas, 2 alpen light bars are all a HEb choice but I don't really fancy any of those or I don't have them at the moment.

Well done on the running Debka, is that 25 minutes straight running? I did start C25K but didn't even last a week Blush

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2012 22:09

kid - your b choices are basically bread, cereal or cereal bars, crispbreads, dried/canned/cooked fruit, nuts and seeds (inc hummous), oil, soups, or meat/poultry/fish if on a green day. Any of those categories you want me to go into more detail on?

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2012 22:10

but no it doesn't matter if you don't have both, as long as you are getting plenty of fibre throughout the day.

Hedgepig · 27/02/2012 22:15

::wanders in bungs rice cakes on the dresser and flops:: Grin

Evening all, busy weekend my parents came over for a visit and much eating and drinking and eating has been done, I also have concluded I need a plan to stay on target as I haven't got a clue how to stay the same weight Confused, what I do know is it isn't eating all the biscuits I can lay my hands on.
debka to running, I did a reasonable cycle on Sunday (15miles) but it nearly killed me as I haven't been on my bike in months.
Kid well done on bypassing the biscuits you are a star
Hi Pony lovely to see you again and congratulations on DS

kid · 27/02/2012 22:16

Could I ask if are brazil nuts on the list for HEb, if so, how many?
Glad it doesn't matter if I don't have both as I'd be annoyed at myself for not losing much weight because I'm not enough, how stupid would that be!

Are there any other cereal bars that I could have instead of the alpen lights? Like any of the go ahead bars or snack a jacks perhaps (wishful thinking)

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2012 22:30

6 whole shelled brazil nuts :).
There are some sainsbury's BGTY cereal bars, a tesco light choices cranberry and blackcurrant one, a kelloggs fibre plus (any variety), a couple of waitrose love life ones, an aldi one and a couple of food doctor ones. Where do you shop normally?

hedge - guidelines for weight maintenance are simply to add one extra healthy extra per day.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/02/2012 22:36

Are you a SW consultant? If not, you damn well should be, you would be great!

Riapwhatyousow · 27/02/2012 22:37

am curious about brazil nuts myself as have been reading about their benefits re depression, and thought I would give them a try.

I was going to attempt W1D1 tonight, MP3 charged up and everything, and it took 2 hours to get the sodding DC to sleep (actually longer as I went to DMs in despair and left DH to it). DS3 reacted badly to face paint yesterday (not at the time, but after it was washed off last night his face was red, swollen and shiny, and he had weepy eyes this morningSad), not sure if it's just that or if there is illness brewing too, but he looks dreadful (though am very wary of keeping him home after he was off with a temp. last week and his teacher said again in a disbelieving tone, especially with him being off on the Monday too with his poorly headSad) Washed his hair tonight for the first time, but as he wouldn't let me brush it, it's dried funny! Will see what tomorrow says.

May not get to WI this week as I have confiscated the WiiShock

kid · 27/02/2012 22:37

We have a couple of tesco express stores close by, I usually shop in Sainsburys if I go or Asda or Tesco if I get it delivered, so in answer to your question, lots of places!

I'll pop into Tesco in the morning on my way to work to see if they have any. I am really struggling to come up with meals for tomorrow. I'm out in the evening and ideally want a meal that won't take long in the evening. I've picked out chicken and pasta (HEb for pasta) but can't come up with a lunch so am now thinking of making it a green day.

I went gym tonight then had an extra long bath when I got back. I actually read some of my book on the kindle which has been gathering dust. So, my evening seems to have been cut short leaving me unorganised.

Riapwhatyousow · 27/02/2012 22:40

cheese, and cwsw - I have been on SW threads many years (and still a fatty) but one of my "friends" from one of the old threads is now a SW consultant (and at target). She is lovelySmile

kid · 27/02/2012 22:41

Brazil nuts are meant to be really good for you, or so I was told many years ago. I guess the chocolate covered ones are out of the question? Grin

Riapwhatyousow · 27/02/2012 22:49

lol kid, was wondering if I could stomach the non-chocolate ones, but I have bought some (and strawberries - selenium is it?). Just need to eat them now!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2012 22:54

Grin kid - nice try!

cheese - I couldn't be doing with the whole standing up smiling and trying to remember everyone's names thing all the time, and all the applause! But I don't find the plan hard to get my head round, so it's easy for me to blather on about on here!

ria - how long have you been on sw threads for? I was on one on here back around 2005 iirc (I was prob posting as 'Tabs' rather than CSWS back then).

Right - I must try and get an early night now - ds2 had me up for 2 long night feeds last night and I was knackered already! Sleep tight all!

Oh - quick food diary first I suppose:

B eggs on toast
banana post gym
L wholewheat pasta twists, roasted veg (courgette, aubergine, mushrooms, peppers, garlic, red onion), cheese
apple
D chicken leg, actifry chips, broccoli, carrots, sugar snap peas
mango, mullerlight yog, more apple
S m&s choc honeycomb bunny (no nutritional info on packet and nothing online to tell me, but the malteaster bunnies are about 8 syns, so prob similar).

623 cals burned at gym.

kid · 27/02/2012 22:54

I need to sort out another shopping list as I seem to be running low on healthy food. Still got 7 muller lights to keep me going. I actually tasted Quark tonight for the first time. I must have bought it 5 or 6 times but always end up throwing it away as it passes its best before date. It tasted fine, not that I really know what it tasted like as it was mixed in with eggs and cheese.

I think I'll have one last look at my menus to see if anything strikes me as appealing for lunch and dinner tomorrow and then I'll go and read some more. Its a really good book I'm reading but its taking me ages to finish it. Its called 'sister's gift' or something like that.

Hedgepig · 27/02/2012 22:58

cheers CSWS that makes sense stick to healthy food and not biscuits Grin (do I seem a bit biscuit obsessed at the moment).
