Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

I'm off to bed now, think I'll take some more ibuprofen. My leg might feel better if I stretch it out straight rather than sit here with my knees bent.

DoD tomorrow. Two questions: Who's doing the list and did I or didn't I manage to lose the 1lb I gained during halfterm?! Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/02/2012 07:55

It's def not a clot kid but difficult to diagnose something like that without examining you! Def not a clot though. Take ibuprofen and paracetamol.

You can Pm me list! Good luck all.

Food:
B: weetabix and raspberries
L: roasted veg cous cous and salad
D: grilled chicken (1 syn), sweet potato chips and runner beans.

We had normal pancakes last night, nom nom!

pixiestix · 22/02/2012 08:33

Right, I have confessed my gain on the list so all you other gainers better do aswell

Sad to all the poorly and injured Doders.

CSWS I think Pimpy isn't back til the 27th-ish.

grinningbee · 22/02/2012 09:49

Alright young lady, but no-one will have done as badly as me. I just don't know how this is right, and I'll admit it now so you don't have to wait. 9lb Shock. There must be something wrong with the scales. How do you put on that much in such a short space of time? It's worse than Xmas, and I did pig out then.

I shall assume the role of list dunce, take the shame, and imagine you all sitting there with dropped jaws and disappointed looks, tutting and shaking your heads.

Ria It is familiar isn't it. Before it was sending an email pretending to be from me, saying he was in a psychiatric ward. There was another saying we'd had some sort of loss, but I don't know who that was referring to. If I'd ever found he'd said one of the dc... but the evidence is gone.

I wasn't going to say how much I put on, but I suppose that's cheating and not in the spirit of things. Ah well. I'm certainly not proud of such a crap result.

If anyone hasn't tried the piri piri pork recipe yet, I recommend it.

Quorn chilli and rice for tea tonight. Yum.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 22/02/2012 11:50

Oh bee Sad. I can gain that sort of weight in a few days of pigging out too, but hopefully if it went on quickly it will come off quickly too.

kid · 22/02/2012 12:10

It usually does come off quickly, just as long as you don't continue pigging out!

I can recommend the potato and spring green fritata. I'll share the recipe later if anyone's interested in it?

pixiestix · 22/02/2012 12:33

Wow, Bee. Not a disappointed look but a stunned look - I really don't think that can be right. Like you say, you totally relaxed over Christmas and still didn't put on that Confused I'm not usually one for blaming the scales, but seriously, that doesn't sound right at all.
I put on 2lbs since the last weigh in but thats because I put on 5lbs last week and then missed the weigh in - so its evened out a little bit! Blush

Have you had words with DH about this? Its so worrying because every time you find something else out you must wonder what else there is left to find Sad My DH has some awful debts from his murky past and they bother me enough even though he has always been upfront about them ? there is something quite sick about the form of the deceptions your DH has chosen. Sad

SlinkyB · 22/02/2012 13:31

Hi everyone,

bee sorry, but I agree that pretending to be dead/someone dying is a despicable thing to do Sad. Don't know what to say, agree with what (I think Debka) said up-thread that there are so many factors involved that "leave the bastard" really isn't helpful (even if I really wanted to type it!). Oh, and more hugs for the gain; your scales must be wrong, as I don't think it's possible to put that on in a week or so?! Will you W.I again tomorrow morning to check?

I finished work yesterday until next Weds, as move house on Friday (have I mentioned this lately?!). Still not really started packing, will do that tomorrow I think.

Not been sticking to plan but, miraculously have only gained 1/4lb (on top of the 1lb I put on last week). I'm giving myself a 3lb either-way allowance though; that's what they say at SW classes isn't it? So not panicking yet.

Good luck with DoD peeps.

p.s don't forget the pom-poms for our 2nd target member Hedgepig tonight!

grinningbee · 22/02/2012 14:17

Good luck for the move Slinky! Very exciting, and well worth the hassle.

I can imagine I know what most of you think re H. Yep, I agree. Sadly nothing is that straight forward as someone said before. And it is one huge scary step to take. One good/sad thing. I had a chat last night, and have said that I don't think another dc is a good idea. Breaks my heart to think that I won't have a little wriggly bean inside again, or the little snuffly baby. But on a practical level, I am able to manage 2 dc on my own (albeit sometimes pulling my hair out Grin) and I'm thinking ahead.

Debka I read a thread of yours recently. If my H had a twin, your Dh would be him (without all the lying I hope). I regularly have to point out (tmi) marks on the loo seat, and I don't think he's had a bath since Xmas... I can't actually remember the last time he had one. Another reason not to want to get "friendly" shall we say Wink. There's so much more, but I wanted you to know that you have my sympathy.

On a funny note, I've just superglued my fingers together fixing dd's sword, as you do Grin Got them apart now, but they're covered in a layer of it. Looks like we're about to play cars here. Dd has got a large cardboard box, and I shall be required for pushing around the room duty!

Riapwhatyousow · 22/02/2012 16:37

I have to confess I had forgotten it is DoD, and have not weighed in.

But no doubt because I am a miserable, selfish, unfeeling, skint, unemployable fat person I will have gained even more. (My rant is bubbling away still. I wish people would Leave Me Alone!)

more bee.

kid · 22/02/2012 18:06

I'm just about the go and make sweet potato and spinach dhal. I was meant to use butternut but I don't have any but I do have sweet potato so I assume they will work just as well. DH is complaining that there is no meat in his dinner. I've told him he can cook his own dinner if he prefers. Turns out the dahl will be fine Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/02/2012 18:28

Oh bee, it's so blinking complicated isn't it? I am sorry he's being a twunt, what's his opinion on this? Do you want me to list the 9lbs or not? I can't believe that gain anyway.

Is there anyone else for the list or is it just the measly 4 of us?

I'm off to the gym, urgh! Got to get back into it. I'm hoping DH will have dinner ready for when I get back at 845.

FriendofDorothy · 22/02/2012 19:38

No me for the list... one sec!

Huffpot · 22/02/2012 21:21

Oh bugger! I am on my phone and it wont let me PM you cheese

Let me try something else!!!

grinningbee · 22/02/2012 22:13

Yeah list it please Cheese. I have a horrible feeling it's right Sad.

More on the nitwit tomorrow when he's not next to me... Let's just say, I'm biding my time though (scared, but please I hope there was a small cheer from some of you!)

Hedgepig · 22/02/2012 22:28

___

That is the Line that has been Drawn cheese Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/02/2012 22:42

I actually just laughed out loud I refuse to LOL

I need to go to bed, alarm is going off at 6am and I have a hellish morning in work.

Hedgepig · 22/02/2012 23:10

A very mixed bag this week. I have been celebrating by scoffing biscuits, I was at a governors meeting until 9 but this is a poor excuse and will have to stop .

Have a good day at work cheese my alarms set for 6.30 but I keep pressing snooze which isn't helping reduce the frantic rush in the mornings.

My mom and dad are arriving for the weekend tomorrow and I have no food in the house, I think a rush to Tesco in my lunch time is needed.

Sleep well all

kid · 22/02/2012 23:47

My alarm is also set for 6:30 and I'm not allowed to press the snooze button as I've got to cook my lunch and also put dinner on. I've got all the ingredients out so I don't have to hunt through the cupboards at the crack of dawn.

Good luck with the losses for the coming week. Easter is creeping closer and closer. I've got a large galaxy bar in the fridge. Dh sent dd shop to buy a kitkat and she came back with that! I think it might have to go in the bin. I don't know how many syns it has but figure its a lot more than a kitkat.

Long day at work tomorrow and my first day back at the gym. I must be mental.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 23/02/2012 06:24

I forgot last night;

A super sized sparkly sticker for hedge for reaching target! Well done pal. Smile

Food for today:

pixiestix · 23/02/2012 11:25

Well done Hedge!! 3st 11 is stunning! Thanks

for Bee. How are you today, lovely?

Cheese sweet chilli pork stir fry sounds yummy. Is is kind of like Bee's sweet chilli ckicken only with pork and noodles?

FriendofDorothy · 23/02/2012 11:26

Where's TSP disappeared to these days?

Hedgepig · 23/02/2012 11:49

Shes sunning herself in (I think it was) Egypt? Dot

Thanks for the stickers and flowers
