Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Hola pointy.Welcome to the thread. I'm off the wagon at the moment as just back to work after a year of mat leAve. But I'm back on from Monday.

GirlWithPointyShoes · 16/02/2012 23:15

Hey Cheese.

Good luck with Monday and enjoy your no syn weekend as much as possible :o.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 16/02/2012 23:36

Ducking hell.

You know scan bran is banned on here Grin?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 16/02/2012 23:36

Fucking obv.

GirlWithPointyShoes · 16/02/2012 23:53
Blush

I'm new! I don't have time to read all the threads I'm too busy marking one third of all my plates with DSs non toxic crayons!

Mmm... Caryons. How many syns in a blue one?

kid · 17/02/2012 00:46

I'm exhausted and sw us far from my mind at the moment. I'm guessing I'm entitle to a hundred extra syns after decorating all week?
I mean, sanding and painting 3 rooms must be one hell of a workout! It's certainly taken my mind off feeling ill.

I painted today from 10am until 5:30pm (I stopped for 5 minutes to eat lunch standing up) and when I'd finished, I took the dog for an hour walk.

So, my half term has been very productive and its going to be all worthwhile when I collapse on the settee tomorrow night.
I don't want anyone to destroy my hard work but I'm not about to become a domestic goddess either lol

GirlWithPointyShoes welcome. How have you found the first 3 weeks on sw? Are you doing it yourself at home or attending class?

I need to get planning some meals. I haven't even been shopping this week so I need to plan and shop.

I should be getting some sleep as I don't know what time the floor man is coming. They just said he'd be here in the morning.

Sleep well everyone (and that includes any bubbas that think its clever to keep their mummys up during the night!)

FriendofDorothy · 17/02/2012 07:50

Scan bran... urgh! Anything that looks like it should be purchased at B&Q in the ceiling tile section will never pass my lips!

Huffpot · 17/02/2012 09:05

I'm here!
Sorry didn"t PM with my results - my meeting went until 9pm and just didn't get there.
Alas I put on 2lbs thus week but I only weighed on Saturday and I was naughty so expected a gain to be honest - still back into gear this week and will hopefully shift that and maybe a little more!

Only 2 or so months till my parents arrive so want to shift more before then and before I have to have my cyst removed (wonder if the surgeon will do some lipo and a tummy tuck while he's there?)

Dot thats great news and so much more positive

Awwwww Bee I'll send positive thoughts your friends way!!

My littlest boy is teething at the moment so he's a bundle of joy

Ok weetabix and banana eaten, off to have a cuppa then try to transform into a domestic goddess!

kid · 17/02/2012 10:05

Man is here to fit floors, he seems very grumpy!

grinningbee · 17/02/2012 10:24

Morning all!

Welcome Pointy Smile

Kid Make him a coffee, and if he's still grumpy then arse to him Grin. You've done really well all week with all the decorating. Hope you get to have a rest this weekend!

Huffpot How big is the cyst? I can't remember if you've said before (brain like a sieve). If you can get them to trim some extra, let me know how you did it Wink.

Still no voice back. It's making parenting a little difficult. I can't shout when I have to, and doing a stern voice when it comes out as a whisper just doesn't cut the mustard!

Food for the day:

Ready brek and 1 ryvita with 1 tsp jam (0.5 syn)
Omelette with cherry tomatoes
Quorn chilli (1.5 syns) and rice

13 syns worth of red wine

Off to the shop shortly to get supplies for a few days. Can't be bothered with a full shop. Whatever this lurgy is, it's horrible and not going away.

OP posts:
kid · 17/02/2012 10:29

You were right bee, I offered coffee and he smiled. I also helped him move the kitchen table which I thought was really generous of me.

Before flooring pics are on Fb.

I can't get to any food until he has finished, I wonder if ds will let me eat an arm or leg if I get desperate?!

kid · 17/02/2012 10:57

He has been here for an hour already and not one piece of flooring is down yet. Yeah, I know I'm impatient Grin

grinningbee · 17/02/2012 10:59

Er, after an hour I'd be more than impatient! Nothing down at all?

He's not tapping his teeth and making tsk noises is he?

Perfectly acceptable to eat whatever is available in these situations Grin

OP posts:
kid · 17/02/2012 11:12

He has cut the bottom of the door frames and removed a strip by the street door. But not one strip down at all.
Ds has a mini fridge in his bedroom, I knew I should of stocked it up. Dh is going shop soon, maybe he can get me something. Ds hasn't even had breakfast yet or anything to drink. Sure way to bring on a migraine but he's more than happy at the moment playing on the xbox.

kid · 17/02/2012 11:28

We now have underlay down but still no wood. Even the dog is protesting now. He is whining and barking because he isn't allowed downstairs. Can you tell I'm bored?

kid · 17/02/2012 14:08

Where is everyone hiding?
I'm still stuck upstairs (without food and water) but I've sent dh out to get some money but I'm hoping he'll cone back with food too.
I'm assuming/hoping the floor is nearly finished.

GirlWithPointyShoes · 17/02/2012 14:24

Hey kid :)

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare at the moment but will be worth it in the end. Redecorating always seems like a wonderful idea before you start.

I have found SW great so far. Got my half stone award last night and almost died of embarrassment :o but it was a nice wee boost as I found last week a little hard.

Ring your DH and demand he bring you food!

grinningbee · 17/02/2012 14:29

I'm here!

Blimey, has he not finished yet??? Poor you being stuck without provisions. Hope your DH rescues you!

I've decided to have a bit of a day off SW Grin. Got a call from the Dr's today, and everything came back fine (phew). They tested everything, including my cholesterol level. When I found out what it is I was very pleased. Apparently it's 4, which is good. Now I just have to wait another week or two to find out what the next course of action is.

Can I ask for some opinions? If you had a grapefruit sized lump that you can see and feel, that causes a dull pain pretty much all the time and messes with your bladder, would you risk having it removed, or would you leave it be? I could live with it if I have to...but it's uncomfortable.

OP posts:
kid · 17/02/2012 14:34

A grapefruit is pretty big, is it likely to grow anymore?
Personally, I'd prefer to get it removed but that's easy for me to say as its not me having to Ho through it.
Good news about the get results.

Dh cane back with a chicken and stuffing sandwich, pure orange juice and chocolate muffins. Do not tell me the syn values Grin

grinningbee · 17/02/2012 14:36

Kid I love chicken and stuffing sarnies. I won't tell you the syn value of that, if you promise not to tell me how bad thick peanut butter on toast is GrinWink

OP posts:
grinningbee · 17/02/2012 14:42

Um, re the growth, I suppose it could do. I do remember when I was pg with ds (so well over a year ago) that it was about the size it is now. With dd it shrank again, but obviously not this time.

Pregnancy would make it grow again... . No need to worry on that front at the mo though. 4 months and counting. Tmi, but we're all mates here Wink.

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 17/02/2012 15:52

I'd get it chopped out bee. But that's me. 4.5 months hey? Blimey!

kid hope the floor is going ok and you have had some food.

Well done pointy, half a stone is awesome. Smile I'm being useless at dieting at the moment but have set Monday in my head to get back on plan.

Well I'm full of lurgy, I feel dreadful. Poor DD is having a cbeebies day, she's getting bored I think. Dh is on nights so this cold is really bad timing! Sad

kid · 17/02/2012 16:04

The floor is still being laid but at least I've been fed. The poor man fitting the floor hasn't been fed, but he can go and buy some food when i pay him. He must have known how long it would take. I think he should have brought a packed lunch with him!

Huffpot · 17/02/2012 16:10

I have a head like a sieve too! This time the cyst is 4cm so not huge but because I had one last time(previously chopped out while pregnant with DS2) that was double that and not very attractive inside specialist wants it gone

Bee i would get it removed if I was you because constant discomfort is awful

are the floors done yet?

Mmmmmm chicken and stuffing sandwich and peanut butter on toast.....

Cheeseandbiscuits · 17/02/2012 16:14

Mmmmmmmmmm chicken and stuffing sandwich!
huff 4 cm is big enough! How are things with you?
