Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Good morning lovelies!

I'm so sorry, I typed a massive post yesterday which disappeared.

Thank you for all the thoughts/worrying on my behalf . It's nothing nasty - hoorah! It's the fibroid that first appeared when I was pg with dd back in 2008 (the sonographer then nicknamed it Freddy). Freddy is now the size of a grapefruit. Which is why I can see it now I've lost some lard. Just got to wait and see what they'll do next. It's not in the uterus, it's on a stalk on the outside. Quite odd actually as it moves from one side of me to the other! I hope it can be removed. It's annoying, big and a bit hurty. I'll still be interested in all the blood results later this week, as he was measuring cholesterol and everything, so it'll be good to know if that's a healthy number.

The sonographer yesterday had no sense of humour. I think she may have had Mondayitus. Never mind.

H acted rather strangely, and just distanced himself from me the whole day, even in the hospital Sad. Even when I came out and told him it was all ok. Ho hum.

Anyhoo.

I've stayed the same this week. I am not too bothered. And today my menu is thus:

Ready brek, ryvita + 1 tsp jam, banana
Omelette, fruit and a yogurt
Butter chicken with veggies, GU inividual cheesecake (1 zillion syns prob), wine (13 syns)

Both dc are poorly with a horrible cold and hacking cough, and H and I have come down with it too. Good job we hadn't got anything planned tonight.

Thank you all again ever so much, you're a fab bunch Thanks Smile

And Happy - er.... are you on the right thread?

Hedgepig · 14/02/2012 07:31

Sounds fine for a 9 year old cheese.

I do hope bee is ok, I'm getting worried
I have an unexpected day at home as DS1 is full of snot and coughing badly, he would be a very unhappy bunny at nursery today Sad

Cheeseandbiscuits · 14/02/2012 07:33

Woohoo bee what a relief. Sonographers, in my experience, are rather strange people. Smile. Weird about DH but everyone copes with things in different ways. I'm sure they will remove it if you want them too.
Don't worry about STS - enjoy your pudding.
Unmumsnetty hug and x

Hedgepig · 14/02/2012 07:34

Xpost bee hurrah that is good news, pops open syn free champagne Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 14/02/2012 07:37

Food:
B: feuit and ff yog
L: pizza express salad
Snack: Emma's birthday baked goods
D: steak, sweet potato chips, veggies. Prob 1/2 bottle of plonk.

Dh has gone to work, no card no flowers . And I dreamt he was dying of a brain tumour last night, it was awful. For once, I was rather relieved to wake up and find him on my side of the bed!

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 07:50

Blimey Cheese that's a bit of a horrid dream. I'm so sorry that yesterdays post went awol. I did it about 3.30 so you wouldn't be worried!

Sad for the lack of flowers etc Cheese. I got H a dozen red roses... nothing for me as yet. He did make me a cuppa though Grin.

It's odd isn't it. We're roughly at the same point in the diet, and yet the lure of being almost there isn't quite enough to stop me eating chocolate. And boy did I eat chocolate last night! Oh well.

Baking sounds good for some birthday fun. I will be doing some later on too.

After today I shall be back on the straight and narrow. It's only 7 more weigh-ins to Easter!

OP posts:
grinningbee · 14/02/2012 07:53

Holy cow!

Those tiny GU cheesecakes (choc and vanilla) are 19 syns each!

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 14/02/2012 07:57

Horrid dream cheese, DH got me a card and some maltessers cos they were light, bless him. I did very un-subtly remind him last night so he was in Tesco at 9 pm purchasing the items

bee I have less than half a stone to go and I can't stop scoffing biscuits, it is just plain stupid

Food
b fruit and losfat natural yog
L leftover bolgunease and baked pot
D chicken casserole, must take the chicken out of the freezer

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 08:06

I know Hedge. It's that in-built self destruct button I think. I have 19lb to go to my initial target. That doesn't sound much. And when I've done that I'll have lost 107.5lb from my heaviest Shock.

Must try harder!

TSP Hope you have a lovely lovely holiday. You're off today aren't you? Much Envy but look forward to hearing all about it.

Huffpot · 14/02/2012 08:27

Yay Bee I just popped into check before heading out for day
I'm so happy the news isn't bad

ooooh I could just gobble some fruit and nut chocolate now!

I have nothing yet for V day...have sent DP off to work with a card and little box of choccies in his lunch box...I'm not particularly bothered :-)

Ok off to eat some weetabix and thank heavens there isnt any fruit and nut chocolate in the house!

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 08:40

Thanks Huff!

To make you feel slightly better about chocolate, I've worked out that there are 107 syns in a 400g bar of ordinary dairy milk. That's me buggered for the week then! Hahahahahahahaha!!

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 14/02/2012 09:35

400g - in one night? OMG! Shock I don't think I have ever eaten that much choc in one day! But I'm very glad the scan news was good. :)

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 09:55

Yes, it is disgusting isn't it CSWS. There's a little bit left, not much though. Then again, it was that sort of thing that got me to nearly 18 stone once.

Temporary blip.

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 14/02/2012 09:57

Before DH left for work he presented me with a box of roses (from the children). So now I have maltessers and Roses, I'm going to have to hide them in the cupboard.

Right I have decided to try a red day for a change, I think the change may help the old weight loss. I am well out if my comfort zone here as I have never done one before and will really miss my carbs.

Will post a re jigged food list in a minute

kid · 14/02/2012 10:33

I'm going to try and have a sw day today, all day!
So far, I've had weetabix and a cup of tea. I'm not getting far with the decorating as I'm the only one actually doing anything Angry

The kitchen is ready to be painted, but first I have to sand the hallway so i can clean and then paint the both rooms.
I'm looking forward to the decorating to be finished! Please slap me the next time I mention I'm going to decorate!

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 10:37

Kid It's not like it was your first choice of activity though is it? It's all down to the leaky washing machine.

Go and give it a satisfying kick Grin then boot whoever is supposed to be helping you!

OP posts:
debka · 14/02/2012 11:29

bee what a relief, lets hope they can whip it out soon. I used to easily do 400g of chocolate in a night, that's what got me to waaay over 18 stone Blush.

kid decorating sounds vile and awful. DH is currently doing some DIY and I'm spending all my time keeping the girls away from saws and spiky nails and things.

Nothing for me for v day either, didn't get himself anything either though. Tbh it all seems a bit fake and commercial . I am making a nice dinner tonight for the two of us after the girls are in bed. The main is sort of sw, (chicken satay, cucumber salad, teriyaki beef, sticky rice), then Gooey Chocolate Puddings with cream .

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 12:07

Glad I'm not the only one. Bet we're not alone either. Your dinner tonight sounds very yummy.

I've just been in the kitchen making some biscuits. Made some soppy heart shaped ones and some stars for the kids. In the short while I was out in the kitchen I heard "Muuummy! I'm making hand prints". Cue puzzlement from me as to what dd could be making hand prints with (thank god it wasn't poo!).

Nope. She'd found and emptied a pot of sudocreme. Everywhere. All over H's jacket, his invoice book, her clothes, the table. Yuck. Still, she smells nice!

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 14/02/2012 13:15

Oh no sudocream is a nightmare to get out of things as its so waterproof, good luck
my little DS is full of snot and sitting under his blanket on the sofa, poor pootle

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 13:44

Thanks Hedge. My two are supposedly poorly as well - Calpol has a lot to answer for!

Hope your ds is feeling better soon.

OP posts:
debka · 14/02/2012 13:49

bee you know how you were hoping it wasn't poo? My almost 3yo DD just pooed in her sleep, woke up and smeared the poo all over the walls by her bed. I went in her room to find her licking her fingers. YUK YUK YUK. She does NOT smell nice...

grinningbee · 14/02/2012 14:08

OMG! That sounds horrific . I don't envy you in the slightest. I'm struggling to think of anything worse....

Um, I can offer you a slightly used pot of fragrant sudocreme? Grin

OP posts:
Huffpot · 14/02/2012 17:25

Agrees with the bleugh

I've yet to experience that joy although I do remember and frequently remind her at any given opportunity my now well grown up cousin doing similar and even eating hers with a knife and fork when we were growing up!

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/02/2012 22:15

lovely debka

Is it cheese doing the list this week?
