Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Popping into say good luck to Bee. let us know how it goes, matey.

I'll be back with food when Ive worked out what the hell I'm going to eat!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/02/2012 08:51

Oh yes food:
B: weetabix (HEA)
L: quick lunch with DH at kings cross so a sarnie / salad / sushi - syns will be added later
D: lamb rogan josh, rice and broccoli

debka · 13/02/2012 10:11

Good luck all you with Ladies Appointments, is there anything worse? Hope all goes well.

Still on the wagon here trying to undo the holiday damage.
B- bacon, egg, pear
L- carrot and lentil soup, fruit, alpen light
D- roast chicken and lots of veg, muller light

TheScarlettPimpernel · 13/02/2012 10:13

Mmmmmm lamb rogan josh - is that one of the ones in this week's SW mag???

Food today - hmph, bit of a pain: I didn't get round to preparing a packed lunch last night, as I was too busy pinning yards of ribbon to the hem of a skirt drinking with glam and disreputable companions, so I am at work with no clue what to have for a Red Day luncheon. I might just have to eat a pack of cooked chicken meat from Sainsbo's Confused

B - toast (HEB) with Lurpack (4 syns) and honey (4 syns) - NORTY Shock
L - dunno. Fruit, yoggit, meat of some species
D - spicy prawn and butternut squash stew, fruit salad for after

Alpen Lights (HEB) for a snack
Also used my HEA milk for a skinny cappucino...

grinningbee · 13/02/2012 10:23

Morning everyone!

Can I just gather you all up for a group hug . Thanks for all the well wishes.

FOD It sucks big time, getting a negative or have your period start. Good luck for this week and I really hope you get your positive soon.

Cheese Sorry you were so down Sad. I do hope you feel a bit better now.

TSP Aren't you supposed to be packing for Blackpool or summat? Wink Hope you've given the cold germs the boot.

Kid Good luck with all the decorating. Yuck to sanding. It's tedious and messy!

I have two poorly kids today. They've picked up a stinker of a cold and cough, and are being miserable. Joy joy!

Not long back from seeing Dr Google. 4 tubes of blood!! He's testing for everything under the sun I think. Dh (yeah, I'll stick the D back for now) was looking very worried earlier when I said they are testing for tumour markers etc. Of course, he's been through it and got the bad result, so it must be bringing it back for him Sad.

At least Dr Google didn't google how to take blood, but my arm has come up like an egg! What was nice was that he asked me to ring him later after the scan to say how it went. That took me aback somewhat!

3 and a bit hours to go...

I fell off the wagon a bit on Friday night. Has an extra glass of wine and then got the chocolate munchies. I ate a chocolate orange, and some out of date Thorntons stuff that expired in March 2011 Blush. That played havoc with my innards on Saturday I can tell you! I won't do that again.

Food for the day:

Ready brek, ryvita + 1 tsp jam (1/2 syn), banana
Not sure if I'll want anything
Um... all depends on this afternoon. I'll be honest, it could well be a family bar of dairy milk! Butter chicken if not though. Or maybe a chicken chow mein.

I need a kick up the bum.

That was nice of dr g bee!

Tsp - could you get a baked spud as a heb for lunch, and ditch the Alpen bars?

FriendofDorothy · 13/02/2012 13:45

I have to confess I am still a bit fuckethed off and I have just eaten 2 Viennese Whirls that my evil lovely colleague made. They were delicious but I am slightly regretting being greedy and eating too.

Hedgepig · 13/02/2012 14:11

If they were homemade they must be good for you FoD

debka · 13/02/2012 14:15

FoD SW website says a viennese whirl is 8 syns, so 2 of them is only fractionally over your syn allowance. Don't beat yourself up over it. xxx

FriendofDorothy · 13/02/2012 14:29

Bugger. Wonder what size the website ones are - these were about the size of a 50p! So many syns is such a small cake!

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/02/2012 15:56

That's cause they are mostly butter fod!

FriendofDorothy · 13/02/2012 15:59

I know, and they were bloody delicious!

Hedgepig · 13/02/2012 16:51

I think it is far better far the soul to blow your syns on something delicious rather than just letting them add up in dribs and drabs of things that taste like cardboard [cardboard]

TheScarlettPimpernel · 13/02/2012 17:39

Well if it makes you feel any better Dot, I came hurtling off the wagon today Blush. I totally forgot I was seeing someone for lunch and might slightly have eaten roast capon with bread sauce and stuffing and sauteed potatoes and fennel gratin and plum crumble and custard.

Oh well Grin

Bee thinking of you A LOT. That's all. Keep us posted. Hope your poor arm-egg has receded X

kid · 13/02/2012 19:00

That wasn't nice of Dr G to take all that blood! I hope he left enough for you.

My decorating isn't going so well. It started well, I got up, had breakfast and then started sanding. I've done half of the kitchen and then we went out for the rest of the day Grin
We bought furniture for the living room and also got DD a wardrobe which we have also built. I really do need to start painting tomorrow, perhaps I can finish sanding in the morning and do the painting tomorrow afternoon/evening. I can't wait for the floor to be done just so I can put the house back together again.
we also have the dreaded job of ripping up all the flooring that is being replaced, so not looking forward to any of that part.

FOD, would it make you feel better about you eating the cakes if I tell you I've just ordered pizzas? I've also ordered warm cookie dough. I figured I can't follow SW that well while on school holidays so I might as well blow it big time!

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all behaving yourselves and sticking to SW better than I am. Bye bye for now, dinner is here Grin

FriendofDorothy · 13/02/2012 19:04

yes I do feel better. Thankyou to all those people who are doing worse than me!

happybubblebrain · 13/02/2012 19:25

B - Lots of strawberries, 5 biscuits. Two cups of tea.
L - Vegi meatballs and salad with sweet chilli sauce in a wrap. Lots and lots of pringles.
S - More strawberries, lots of cups of tea.
D - Left over mexican food with rice, tortillas stuffed with vegi chilli and covered in cheese, spicy potatoes. Glass of lemonade. Half a Terry's chocolate orange.

I'll probably have another snack later.

I'm not on a diet. Does that look like lots of food?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/02/2012 20:01

Pig Grin

SlinkyB · 13/02/2012 20:46

Looks like my standard food diary!

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/02/2012 20:52

It looks like a lot of fat and sugar, rather than a lot of food per se.
But why do you ask if you are not on a diet?

Hedgepig · 13/02/2012 22:02

I think you need more cake in there or you may loose a bit of weight my dear Grin

Where is Bee?, I hope all is well with her

pixiestix · 13/02/2012 22:05

Just popping in from the internet caff to see if Bee is alright. I have everything crossed for you lovely.

Happy that is a very odd first post on our thread. TBH until I saw you had a profile I thought you were a troll Confused

kid · 13/02/2012 23:15

I do hope bee is okay.

happybubblebrain · 13/02/2012 23:25

Mmmm fat and sugar. I'll try harder tomorrow and eat more cake Grin.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 14/02/2012 07:21

Morning all! for V day.

bee everything OK? Xxx

I've weighed myself this morning. SadSadSad but then what do you expect of you don't stick to plan.

I'm looking after next doors 9 year old today. And it's her birthday. I feel v responsible to make sure she has a good day. So I think we are going to head to Westfield, get some baking ingredients, treat her to a pizza and salad for me, then come home put DD to bed, bake. Then head to the park. Do you think that's ok for a 9 year old - I have no idea!

Have a good day everyone
