Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

I can totally understand that. The thought of that would be what would have me the most upset too, (although at this point in time the shop is definitely shut as far as that is concerned!) But your two are young so you are obviously still in full working order as far as sprogglet-making. I don't know anything about waiting times. Come on DoctorCheese, come and give us some reassuring info! Grin

TheScarlettPimpernel · 10/02/2012 16:07

Did someone say holiday?! Grin

Bee, that is concerning. Similar happened to me when I had Sinister Breast Signs. I was absolutely fine and what felt like terrifyingly fast appointments because they all knew something was wrong was just surprising efficient NHS mechanisms. Have a Wine or three and keep us all posted on how you get on.

I am amazed by how full up I am still, 4 hours after lunch. They do say red days are more sustaining don't they? Looks like it ain't all balls!

grinningbee · 10/02/2012 16:17

I think I may have been lucky and got a cancellation or something. Yep, that must be it Smile

Anyway. Have you packed yet woman? Is it Egypt you're off to? I seem to remember that place being mentioned .

That really has come around quickly, only seems like five minutes ago you said you were going!

As for red days, I agree. I tend to do more of those than green. Now if you really want to fill up on a green day, may I helpfully suggest the Lentil Pie?

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 16:28

Oo lentil pie could do with a bit of that atm Grin
bee it is great to been seen this quickly Dr Google asked for an urgent appointment and that is what you got, I think they probably have 1 or 2 urgent slots in reserve for just things like this.

grinningbee · 10/02/2012 16:35

You do know I'm going to end up calling him Dr Google on Monday, don't you Grin

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 16:42

Maybe that would stop him doing it!

pixiestix · 10/02/2012 16:42

Better than Mr Googling Knobhead, which is what he deserves to be called Angry

pixiestix · 10/02/2012 16:46

Whoops. Didn't mean to deprive him of his Doctor title there...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 10/02/2012 19:59

I'm so fed up. Sad just been sobbing on poor DH. I work 3 days a week but they are roughly 12 hr days, longer if on call. Dh is working the next 3 weekends, so for the next 4 weeks I'm either in work or looking after DD completely on my own. I am aware this isn't a big deal but I'm exhausted. On top it off, my failyre to diet and exercise is pissing me off. I just want a shower without DD popping her head in or a coffee without a nurse asking me to do something.

I need some space!

But I've had a cry and feel much better. Now I'm going to have a gin And Get On With It. Smile

bee anyone with a potential worrying symptom or finding on examination gets seen, investigated and diagnosed within 2 weeks. Your most likely diagnosis is an ovarian fibroma. This is a benign mass that can grow very large without causing any problems. Women often present with a big lump in their abdomen. I'm not sure about the fertility affect but I would imagine it depends on anatomy / size etc. They will be able to tell from the scan what needs to be done. Try not to worry - easier said than done. PM me anytime, Much love x

TheScarlettPimpernel · 10/02/2012 20:27

Dear Cheesy, I am so sorry you feel so mizz Sad Sad

You must be 'zausted. It makes everything so much worse, doesn't it? once you have had your Gin, maybe you can plan Thing To Do on the weekends when you have DD? Are you quite easily pleased? 'Cos something as simple as going to a mother and baby screening of a cheery film and eating a Curly Wurly or somesuch does wonders for the state of mind (I'm just speaking from the experience of having long empty weekends without DH, though obviously not with a baby!)

Also don't be hard on yourself about diet etc. going a bit by the wayside for a week or 2. Ease up on yourself! You went back to work and it;s going to take a while to get into the swing of things again. And you didn't gain loads of weight last DoD did you?

Have a manly punch on the upper arm and a sneaky x

SlinkyB · 10/02/2012 21:13

Oh cheese you're so lovely! I'm not surprised you're exhausted and feeling pants, sorry you've been crying, glad dh is there tonight. It must be so difficult working all these long hours/shifts and trying to have a life too. Agree with scarlett that you should try and squeeze in some lovely plans with DD over next couple of weeks. Could your nanny help out on one of your days at home so you could have a proper break?

I've just said to dp "ugh, I feel gross, have eaten far too much these past few days. My stomach is huge and I need to start doing some sit-ups" ... "I say this every day". Why oh why can't I just pull my finger out of my arse and head to the gym and stop eating crap?! (answers on a postcard please).

bee am thinking of you, am sure you won't be able to relax and enjoy your weekend because of Monday - do keep us informed.

I booked the register office! We will be married on 1st September Smile. Now to focus on moving house.

Good to see you back pixie, sorry to hear of internet woes. I wish I could MN at work, would actually get fired though . Am working four days out of five next week so prob won't be about much unfortunately.

Yippee it's Friday night, time to settle down with a pint of sugar-free squash and Sherlock; I know how to live!

FriendofDorothy · 10/02/2012 21:18

I am feeling miserable too tonight. I am eating a Curly Wurly to commiserate with myself. My period has started. No baby. No nothing. 18 months of wasted time :(

debka · 10/02/2012 21:19

Hello everyone, remember me? Grin

Been away on holiday at Center Parcs with lovely DDs and Captain Grumpy AKA DH. Have eaten my bodyweight in chips, chocolate and sweeties. I have 4 days to try and mitigate 10 days of damage. Had roasted veg, trimmed pork chop and couscous for tea, then a pear after my Run, so that's got to be a good start, right? I did enjoy the binge but I am so ready to be healthsome again.

Food tomorrow-
B- bacon, egg, pear, orange
L- we'll be out, will try and find a salad or baked potato or something
D- chicken cacciatore, green veg, couscous

Have only read the last page (sorry, sorry, I'm so tired), bee fingers crossed all is well cheese really hope things settle down for you, tsp holiday??? midori congrats on 1st sept :) how exciting!

debka · 10/02/2012 21:20

FoD :( I'm so sorry :(

Cheeseandbiscuits · 10/02/2012 21:27

Thanks all, feeling less desolate now. Weekends are family time so there is nothing bloody on to do, no cinema nothing . Had a gin and pizza, feeling marginally cheerier.

fod oh hon. That sucks. Nothing helpful to say but I'm thinking of you.

slinky wooohoooo how exciting. Not long to go then.

debka glad you had a fabby hol. Envy. Don't worry bout breaking the diet, we all do it

Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 22:49

FoD petal I'm sorry you have had another month and no BFP. It really sucks, big hugsxx. Any news on an appointment from the clinic?

Cheese Enjoy the gin, it is really hard when you start back to work, but I'm sure you will be fine. Take any help that is offered, and on the bright side soon the weather will be better too and it will be easier to get out and about and do things with DD.

Nice to see you back Debka

I am very proud of myself this evening I got a Penguin biscuit out of the tin to stuff my face with this evening and then I thought about it and put it back

FriendofDorothy · 10/02/2012 22:52

Yes we have an appointment at the fertility clinic next week. I am a bot nervous about it to be honest!

SlinkyB · 11/02/2012 08:28

Morning all, FoD so sorry to hear no bfp, best of luck at the fertility clinic next week, hope they can help.

Ds woke up at 6.30am moaning and full of snot, and hasn't really changed in two hours. Guess colds always make us miserable too. Speaking of which, TSP how are you doing now? Hope you're better in time for hols.

Off for my weetabix and banana now (I always start the day well...) have a good day all.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 11/02/2012 10:13

Pixie ! how did I miss your return. welcome back and I'll have a sticky bun please [pleading face]

now I don't like to mention my hols as we all know but yes, we're doing a Nile Cruise and then a few days in a resort on the Red Sea. We normally make do with 5 days in the cheapest B&B in Norwich so I am almost passing out with excite. Cold still niggling but I refuse to let it set in. REFUSE!

FoD my dear, you know how well I understand. Keep your mind on the FC appt. You have done wonderfully with losing weight and there is no reason why this shouldn't happen for you. I understand the misery - Lord, none better! - so sending much loves.

Debka lovely to see you again :) Good luck with undoing holiday carnage. Meh, I think all that joy is worth a lb or two gain.

Cheese mate, hope you're perkier this morn.

I will be spending today Spring Cleaning: oh, the glamma.

Food (red day)

B - bacon, eggs, mushroom, tomato and toast (1 x HEB, one teaspoon Lurpack Lighter - probably 2.3 syns)
L - prawn, tomato and pepper stew type thing, fruit and yog
D - turkey 'bolognese' with courgette strips, bit of cheese on top (HEA)

I'll have Alpen Lights as snackage.

Also about 2-3syns on some hot ginger cordial, I think

pixiestix · 11/02/2012 14:31

Gosh, thank you for all the welcome backs. I was only gone for less than a week. I feel so loved Grin

Oh Cheese I well understand your misery. DH and I have concocted a scheme of work where we only put DD into childcare for one day an week and every other day she gets looked after by one of us. Fab so far - the downside being that we never, ever have a day together unless one of us is on holiday from work Sad Miserable and very very hard to maintain over the long term.

Poor Doro Sad At least you have an appointment booked and can start moving forwards.

Huffpot · 11/02/2012 15:05

My goodness there has been lots going on

Oooooh TSP a holiday somewhere warm sounds like heaven with all this snow and freezing weather!

Huge hugs Bee - take every day as it comes - its so easy to get upset but easier when you know exactly what you're dealing with!

I didn't make the list this week as only weighed in today. Normally go to a meeting on a Wednesday night but DP is starting his own business and had to go and do quotes and after my consultant calling my two angelic hair raising boys "wild children" I hesitate to bring them with me plus running round stopping DS1 licking everyone (he was a puppy) during the meeting means I can't relax and enjoy it

So anyway after all that rambling 1lb off this week so in total now 1 stone and 4.5 pounds - roll on next half stone award

pixiestix · 11/02/2012 15:40

Well done Huffers!

Can I ask - how many syns are people having per day as a general rule? My consultant is very big on the fact you have to have a minimum of 5, but sometimes on here it looks like people only have a couple, if any. I generally come in at about 12-13 a day, even on my "best" days which doubtless explains my less than inspiring progress atm. Curse that butter addiction Blush

Hedgepig · 11/02/2012 15:48

I have at very least 5 a day nearer the 10 most days (mostly wine hic hic)

TheScarlettPimpernel · 11/02/2012 15:58

I gots to admit I've not been thinking about syn totals, but I do remember that you are supposed to have a decent amount, partly so as not to feel resentful and deprived Grin

So far today I was only going to have about 4 I think, but PURELY to assist you i am now going to have a glass of port tonight Wink

TheScarlettPimpernel · 11/02/2012 16:00

Yes bloody well done Huff
