Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Oui, J'ai habite a la Londres, dans le ouest. Grin it's snowing here but not settling

I'm having a vairy large glass of vin blanc. I'm exhausted and bed is calling. Yes I feel desperately bad for the girl so I'm trying not to moan too much. I am really enjoying my new job, FASCINATING how the mind works.

Mmmm turkey burgers. I don't see the difference btn JP and chipos. But I'm not losing big numbers so maybe that's why.

Sounds like a very good plan you've had there kid, excellent.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 20:56

Ah, now, it is at this point DH earns some serious husband Brownie points, CS! He said there were 2 packs of turkey mince (this was Sainsbo's) and that one was thigh and one breast, and there was a huge discrepancy in cals, so he got the breast one. now I am assuming that this would be extra lean and therefore free...but I don't know. Hmph. Troubling! Like you I would just have thought turkey mince generally would be free as it's such a lean meat Confused

Oh Lord. I am on some tablets that have wind as a side effect. It's really quite spectacular. I hope it passes soon (no pun intended)

Je had non idee they parlez French dans that part of le cite Cheese

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 20:57

PS thanks for helping me CSWS, you are the bidnit.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 09/02/2012 20:59

I think that's the free one pimps, is it extra lean?

We are shep bush / ravenscourt park borders and pretend to live in chiswick

I got Alevel French dontcha know? Can barely write a word now, can still muddle through speaking it.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 21:02

It doesn't actually say extra lean, just that it's breast mince. Oh it's a bloody minefield, I tell you: A MINEFIELD!

All West London means nothing to me apart from the original Westfield, which is so much more civilised than the Stratford one it's HILAIR. Funny how you can get completely sort of tunnel vision about your own part of town. And by 'you' I mean 'me' because I am pig ignorant, can't drive, never look where I'm going and have no sense of direction Grin

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 21:03

Dear God, I think that fart might have punched a hole in the sofa cushion Blush

Cheeseandbiscuits · 09/02/2012 21:06

I think it's 3 per 100g then.

Hahhaha what bloody tablets are you in?

We used to live in E1 and we have worked all round E. London, I miss it there. West London is great, leafier less gritty though.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 21:10

Oh arse. Ach well, I hadn't factored in many syns that day....

I'll PM you re. farts!

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/02/2012 22:01

Cheeseandbiscuits · 10/02/2012 07:54

Morning all.

Is everyone snowed in? We've got a dusting here, it hasn't settled on the pavements which a bonus for pram pushing.

I feel so lethargic as I haven't made te gym for 2 weeks. Planning a good walk today, prob a 4 -5 mile round trip.

Have a good day one and all, it's only blooiody Friday....

Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 08:35

We have quiet a bit of snow and its teacher training day so I have both boys at home so we will be going to play soon . I need to do some food shopping as I have no melon, I'm confused what to have for breakfast

TheScarlettPimpernel · 10/02/2012 08:40

Nice icing sugar type dusting here!

I have a sore throat and chest which always signals the beginning of a cold, and cos I am asthmatic that often ends in bouts of asthma. If I get ill just before hols I am going to KILL SOMEONE

Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 09:05

Are you going on holiday TSP? I'd hardly noticed Grin

TheScarlettPimpernel · 10/02/2012 09:06

Grin Grin

Yes I like to keep things vair quiet, me Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 10/02/2012 09:22

What's wrong with me? I shared a 3 egg omelette with DD so prob have had 2.5 eggs and I'm hungry. 45 min later....bloody hell, I'm a pig.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 10/02/2012 09:24

Oh I would totes still be hungry after 2.5 eggs, unless I'd had some carbilicious goodness too. I am Pig and Proud Grin

Also this weather makes one even piggier, I find. . .

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/02/2012 09:24

I'm eating a 3 egg omelette to myself just now...

Hedgepig · 10/02/2012 09:40

I just had an omelet too and a small can of beans and a pear I'm not hungry yet but won't be long. I am so much better with food at work than at home, probably cos I go into work with my supplies for the day and that's that. I look like a right old bag lady weighed down with plastic boxes and flasks Grin

grinningbee · 10/02/2012 10:15

Morning all!

Cheese So sorry for your colleague at work. That's awful Sad

TSP Don't let those nasty germies get ya! But watch out on Lemsip, they have a syn value. You wouldn't be off somewhere hot soon would you...? Wink

We've got a couple of inches of snow here. Looks lovely in the bright sun. I'm just trying the dc out on a second breakfast (makes us sound like Hobbits Grin). We got picked for that chocolate porridge trial. Well, dd doesn't like it (today anyway), but ds is chugging through it! Oh, the mess... and he's already had a clothes change from first breakfast. Whoever put the chocolate flavour in it needs shooting. I reckon they waved the flavour at it from a distance.

We're staying in today. H has got our car, so we've got the playdough out. So far I've made a dinosaur and a dog Grin.

Food for the day:

Ready brek, 1 x ryvita with 1 tsp reduced sugar marmalade (1/2 syn), banana
Omelette with mushrooms, fruit and a yogurt
Piri piri pork with loads of veggies
1/2 bottle red wine (13 syns)

If the pork turns out nice, I'll post the recipe. I must put that beef one up too sometime.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 10/02/2012 10:24

Yep, Lemsip is 1/2 a syn per sachet.

SlinkyB · 10/02/2012 13:13

Nuffin wrong with you cheese, I could probably put away a 3-egg omelette, bacon, mushrooms, a couple of slices of toast and some beans, and still be hungry an hour later! Wink. Honest, my appetite is and, according to my mother, always has been insatiable.

bee well done on going to the GP, can't believe he was Googling scary stuff in front of you, how wrong and worrying. When's your scan? Agree with the others who say pretty sure you'd know if it was something to be really concerned about? Fingers crossed it's an innocent lump, which they can remove pretty easily x

TSP are you going on your holiday soon? First I've heard about it! Grin. Sending you healthy vibes, as aeroplanes and colds really don't mix do they, humph.

What's with all the omelette eating anyways?! I had one last night too - what's the chances? Had it with oven chips and onion rings, as we're ploughing through all the food in the freezer ready for moving in 14 days time, eek!

Gotta dash, ds has woken from his only nap of the day, 30 mins after putting him down...it's going to be a loooong afternoon. Actually, should be a good afternoon as we're off to (hopefully) book the registry office for my wedding -hurrah!

Enjoy the snow, if you have any, ds is too ickle to play in it yet so gonna wait til next winter

pixiestix · 10/02/2012 14:32

Afternoon all! Sorry I have been MIA this week - our computer has finally died a death so it will be internetting during work hours only for me from now on Sad

I STS this week so not too shaming. I'm finding it so so hard to stay motivated in this weather. I just want to hibernate with a couple of belgian buns and a mug of tea Blush

Bee your doctor is a knobhead. You must be terrified but you have all the good vibes of the Doomers to ensure that you will be absolutely fine. And lose an couple of pounds in the process when it is removed! Grin

I can't believe your holiday is here already TSp - it seemed like aaaaages away when you rejoined us.

grinningbee · 10/02/2012 14:33

Slinky yay for booking the wedding. When have you picked?

Well, bit of an update. Bearing in mind I only saw the Dr yesterday, I've just had a phonecall asking me to go for the scan on Monday Shock. Now I'm more than a leetle bit scared. So it's blood being taken by Dr Google (eeek) first thing Monday, then 1.30 it's scan time.

Funny thing about Dr Google. There was someone waiting behind me with their son for a tetanus jab. Turns out he googled how to give one when they went in! What's the betting I come out with an arm like a seive on Monday?

On the food front, I need to add another 1/2 syn to today. I had a cold sausage chopped up in my omelette. Yum yum!

OP posts:
pixiestix · 10/02/2012 14:41

Oh Bee - try and think positively - the sooner you get scanned, the sooner you will know exactly what the little bugger is and how is can be dealt with

grinningbee · 10/02/2012 14:44

X posted with you Pixie. Welcome back! Mmmmm Belgian buns. I could go a couple of those with a strong mug of tea. Or an apple and cream turnover... or a cream slice... or some just cooked donuts. Bah! Look what you've done to me

Who knows what'll happen next. I'm guessing removal will be suggested after what Dr Google said. That will put paid to another baby though I should think. Given that I'm 41 and 1/4, and I'd think you'd have to wait after surgery before getting pg for a while... I dunno, just speculation at this point really innit. Best wait and see. There again, it would also help if H and I were up to anything Grin. If it is ruled out though, I can see me being more upset by that than anything. I should be grateful for what I have though.

My two are currently trying to knock bells out of each other
