Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

I have such lovely DC today
After I dragged them to the local market, changed some boots and got DD's phone fixed, I treated them to McDonalds but I didn't have anything. We took it home to eat and I made myself a ham, onion and mushroom omellete.

After that, they both wanted to watch tv or play xbox but I said they had to help me tidy up first. Reluctantly, they helped and I now have a spotless kitchen and a very tidy living room and the whole house got swept.
So glad I didn't have to do it all by myself. I think I'll make a habit of getting them to help Grin

I haven't done shred yet, hopefully I'll get a chance to do it a bit later but its looking unlikely. I'm sure I can have a day off though.

Thanks for the detail on the jeans seam bee! So glad I don't have to do any washing like that, not sure I'll be able to cope with it.

I'm not convinced we'll get snow here, I keep hearing different stories so I guess I'll just have to wait until the morning to see if we get any. I do know its too cold, I can't wrap up warm enough as my face just freezes.

pixiestix · 04/02/2012 15:13

Brown seam!! Oh, godddddddddddd!

pixiestix · 04/02/2012 15:15

Seriously though, the money situation has to be sorted. You are looking after his children, which enables him to work and earn money. Its not his money to dole out as and when he feels benevolent Angry You aren't his bloody unpaid house slave.

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/02/2012 15:22

Grin bee! Why doesn't he wear pants? We have similar stains, but only on pants, and dh has his own washbasket which I mostly make him deal with, so I can ignore them unless he puts them right on the top of the pile on the landing.

I got 1 more hour's sleep once dh was up, but not really enough. Still, having a quiet day of tv watching today, as too cold out, and tomorrow will be busy as we have dd's 6th birthday party (at soft play) and then 'messy church' (craft stuff for kids, then little church service, then tea at the village hall - happens once a month) later.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 04/02/2012 18:18

I'm really drunk as its rugby day and I'm a Scotland supporter!

But bee. What can I do? Can I come up and steal you away for the weekend? Have a hug anyways. Smile

Cheeseandbiscuits · 04/02/2012 18:21

pimps you started a thread that has more than 5 responses! I never get 6, never kind 300! Blimey!

Hedgepig · 04/02/2012 21:11

Wow CSWS your DH has his own laundry basket that he sorts out what a fecking brilliant idea, I'm off to buy an extra laundry bracket. What is it with men and not being able to wipe their own bottoms Confused

Bee don't know what to say about your H hope you are OK

I made a chicken and veg cassarole roughly based on the recipe from the last magazine, you put a cinnamon stick in the stock it gives it a lovely flavour. Apart from that the less said about tonights biscuits fest the better Blush

Slinky DS1 has been sick this morning, most probably norovirus given the way it is spreading through the school like a wildfire. I'm really hoping DS2 doesn't get it as he just won't understand what's going on. at least DS1 (8) will be into a bucket .

kid · 04/02/2012 21:37

I wish I could make the text so tiny that you could hardly read it, but I had chinese tonight. I stuck with chicken chowmein so thats allowed on SW but it feels like I am cheating even if I'm not if that makes sense?
I was going to have a glass of wine but decided that would make me feel like I've totally blown it today so I decided not to.

Todays food was:

B: weetabix (b), milk (a)
L: mushroom, onion omelette with a couple of slices of ham shredded up and added (I didn't realise I was going to end on a green day so the ham would have to be synned)
D: Chicken Chowmein

Snacks: 2 oranges, apple, banana, 1 dark chocolate digestive biscuit (I would of had more but I was too lazy to go and get one so took that one of DS!)

I figure its still an okay day for a green day. I've had tea and diet pepsi for drinks but no water which I really need to try and make myself drink more of.

We've got snow here. It was very fine at first but was trying hard to settle but then its got a lot heavier and has set. Not sure how long or how heavy it will fall through the night.

Hedge, chicken and veg caserole sound good, the biscuits sound good too even if you weren't allowed them.

Hedgepig · 04/02/2012 22:13

The problem is Kid I did the same same last night too, Ho hum will get back on the wagon tomorrow, I've only got 1/2 a stone to get to target it's so stupid of me.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 04/02/2012 23:52

Cheese last week I had a 'Discussion of the Day' that had 790 responses Grin

Yes, I realise how lame it is to derive self-esteem from the anonymous postings of internet strangers

More fro me tomorrow. I am too drunk to type.

PS. SNOW!!!1!11!!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/02/2012 08:21

I'm so jealous. I'm so boring that my threads never get replied too!

Slightly hungover here. Boo to Scotland losing the game. That's the prob with being a Scotland supporter, you get driven to alcohol with frustration!

I can't believe it's Monday tomorrow

FriendofDorothy · 05/02/2012 08:54

I started a thread that was rather infamous and I had lots of people complaining at me and saying I was the devil incarnate!

debka · 05/02/2012 08:57

I ate three bags of sweets last night. BIG bags. Feel rougher than a badger's arse this morning. Never. Ever. Again.

Scarlett congrats on DOTD Envy my threads are like cheese's

Back later when I feel better :(

debka · 05/02/2012 08:57

LINK please friendofdorothy Grin

FriendofDorothy · 05/02/2012 09:00

I am not sure I want to link it - I might be judged!

pixiestix · 05/02/2012 09:02

I had DOTD once. About two years ago.

Grin
debka · 05/02/2012 09:04

You've namechanged haven't you FoD- just did a search!!

Envy pixie Grin

FriendofDorothy · 05/02/2012 09:06

I have name changed. Not particularly because of that thread though, but because the name I used to use on here I also use elsewhere and decided I didn't necessarily want to be linked.

debka · 05/02/2012 09:08

I started a seriously misjudged thread too once, fortunately it died a death before I got totally flamed still think it was funny though

FriendofDorothy · 05/02/2012 09:15

OK, don't judge me. It was a thread about being fed-up when people talk about not being able to conceive subsequent children when I can't even conceive one. I couldn't believe the momentum it gained and the things people were saying to each other. I don't regret starting it, but I do regret that so many people got hurt.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 05/02/2012 09:17

OMG FoD I have just worked out who you were and what the thread was. I had to namechange too after that Grin Grin

It's beautifully snowy here. I'm looking forward to having a sturdy trudge later!

Debka Grin at the sweeties! I ate about half a kilo of pick 'n' mix at the flix last week. Felt like I'd been drugged!

TheScarlettPimpernel · 05/02/2012 09:18

X - post: and now you have confirmed it!

debka · 05/02/2012 09:22

FoD I remember that thread, I only saw it at the start but thought it may end up in a bunfight. So so sad for you ladies struggling to conceive. My sister is pg after several years of trying, she was about to start IVF and you wouldn't believe how different she is now. She's happy, relaxed, normal again. Makes me realise just what a toll the TTC was having on her.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/02/2012 09:35

I remember that one too!

I didn't really have a side on that one. Bloody tough for everyone involved when facing difficulties when trying to conceive. My mate also changed overnight after years of failing to conceive, booked for IVF then boom, natural preg. Emotions surrounding it are so strong.

Hedgepig · 05/02/2012 10:19

I started a thread on slow cookers once, I still can't understand why it isn't get to be. DOTD Grin. I didn't see your famous thread Dot but I am amazed with the vitriole of some people on MN,my personal run of thumb is "would I say this to someone's face? " If not, I don't post it.

So I have been out in the snow, wnders what the calorific value of snow ball fitting is. Big son loved it the little one got old very quickly and is now scoffing custard creams watching TV

Food today
B melon, pear and grapes
L leftover cassarole
D roast chicken, veg, SW roasties

AND NO CUSTARD CREAMS OPR CHOC CHIP COOKIES !
