I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

Phew! It wasn't as bad as I thought - in fact it was better :)

1.8lbs off even with tonsillitis weakening my willpower, a meal out for a birthday on Friday, a childs birthday party (with more pizza!) on Saturday and a meal at SIL's yesterday.

2 more lbs and I will have lost a whole stone! Hopefully, I'll have done that by the end of February then 8 more lbs to go and I'm done. Hoping I'll manage to get to goal before my 3 month subscription runs out. It's close but do-able I think.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 20/02/2012 11:45

1lb off here. blathers you are doing fantastically. I'll race you - I've 10.8lbs to go until my goal weight. Wasn't sure where to set my goal as I was just in the top of the healthy range already but have chosen 9 stone 12. Am 5 foot 7 so will see how I get on. I can't go down to 9 stone as look very ill so prob somewhere between 9.5 stone and 9 stone 12 is where I need to be.

Blatherskite · 20/02/2012 13:03

That sounds like a good challenge Ben :) Can we do it before the end of March do you think? My 3 months runs out on the 6th April...

I started 2lbs over my healthy weight range and had originally set my goal weight at 8 st 7lbs (which is only 3lbs away now!) but I changed it fairly quickly to 8 stone 0 so I've got 10lbs to go too. I'm glad I did as I'm only 5'1" and have a quite small build too and I'd definitely still like to lose more than 3lbs right now - I've still got a fair tummy on me which I'd like to reduce some more.

The lowest I could be while still being in my healthy weight range is something like 7st 5 but I would definitely look poorly if I was that small!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 20/02/2012 13:30

I don't know whether I'll make it by then :) You are losing at a far greater speed than me. I've lost 6.2lbs in 5 wks so down to 10 stone 8.8. I'm on meds that mean that I keep weight on and am restricted in terms of exercise as am still on a v slow recovery from surgery. I can only do the exercise bike - even fast walking is out really I also still have my nightmare constipation problem ongoing Blush. Have hosp appt next week so hopefully will get sorted out.

You really are teeny Grin I went down to 9 stone post-natally just from BF and walking and everyone was convinced I was anorexic. I have large bones (apparently! You check with your fingers round your wrist) so shouldn't be at the bottom of the BMI normal I don't think.

I've never had a tummy really but 14 months of illness/surgery/recovery/being force fed chocolate by my dad/and now stupid bloating put paid to that. It's on it's way down now though luckily as it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

Blatherskite · 20/02/2012 13:59

I wish I'd lost weight BF! I am one of those people who seems to store fat for milk making and so, because DD fed for 12 months, I didn't lose any for ages - and I was 11 stone when she was born!! Shock

Having 2 c sections hasn't helped with my tummy either. I've still got a proper overhang which is just vile. I don't think that will ever completely go though. I've been trying to exercise but have had about a fortnight off already thanks to this bloody tonsillitis and am going to give myself another week until the end of this current set of antibiotics before I start again I think. No amount of crunches seem to be able to tighten up my tummy muscles though. I was huge in both of my pregnancies - DS was 52cms the day he was born and I'm about 154cms! - and I think they've just been stretched too far to ever go back properly Sad

Good luck with the hospital next week. I hope they get you sorted. I need to make an appointment with my doctor to talk about a tonsillectomy as having tonsillitis 7 times in 12 months is not good but I'm too scared Blush

Hi All

Can I join your group? Signed up to WW online just before Xmas and put on 4lbs since then!!! Really really had enough of how I look. Have put on about a stone and a half over the past 18 months and feel like a blob.

Finding it tough as I don't have any buddies to talk to for motivation or share my frustrations - I only know slim people ggggrrrrrrr!

I know that I really need to get back into exercise and drink a little less and am so determined to lose the weight but its such hard going.

Hello, can I join? I just started we online last week and in my first weigh-in out on a pound. Feeling a bit gloomy about it.

GravityDefier · 20/02/2012 21:46

After my pancake breakfast on V-Day and going out for dinner once I now have a ridiculous cold and am in bed all day, feeling quite bad. I had some chocolate earlier today as I really couldn't stomach much else. Official weigh in tomorrow, I somehow got a feeling I am piling on the last few weeks. No surprise as I am not following WW :(

Welcome to the group everyone :)

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 20/02/2012 21:49

Welcome to our clan :)

Lozislovely · 20/02/2012 22:14

Well I've made a 2 point salad for lunch tomorrow and a 0 point fruit salad. Will have 2 slices of WW bread for brekker and fingers crossed it will get me to tea time!

Really want to lose 2 stone over next 3 months.

Was intending to get on the bike tonight and ride for 30 mins whilst watching Eastenders but No 1 son decided he needed new shoes for school tonight so that put a stop to that as a hasty trip to the shops was made and didnt get back til half 8 Sad Will def do 30 mins at least tomorrow night, promise!!!!

Blatherskite · 20/02/2012 22:19

I've got 4 points left over today somehow - but it is pancake day tomorrow which should more than make up for it!

Going to have to be good all day if I'm not going to blow it all at dinner time.

Jnice · 20/02/2012 22:48

Does anyone know roughly how many pp's a pancake without topping would be? Any idea on low point versions?

Can't miss out in pancake day, just need to plan ahead and make sure I have enough points left.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 21/02/2012 08:42

Blathers our WW 3 months finishes 15th April but as DH has more to lose we'll be keeping it going. However it sounds like a good date for me to aim towards to get to my goal.

I'm doing these pancakes tonight as DS doesn't like english style ones. The whole recipe points as 18PP so not too pointy. 1tsp of golden syrup is 0PP (5grams) and 2tsp is 1PP :) Bananas, blueberrys, raspberries free.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 21/02/2012 08:43

these WW pancakes are 1PP

Jnice · 21/02/2012 08:46

Ooh they look good. My DSs are the opposite. We live in Canada and they love
'roll-up' pancakes.

fatsatsuma · 21/02/2012 10:00

May I crash into this thread and ask an urgent question?
Does anyone know how many points for a costa skinny latte? And what is the lowest point cake option?
Grin
I'm re-starting WW after a long break, and all my old WW books are out of date.
Thanks kind people.

Blatherskite · 21/02/2012 11:06

I don't drink coffee so I'm not sure what I'm looking for but if you mean the latte with skimmed milk, it's 2 points.

The lowest cake seems to be the butter croissant or stem ginger biscuit at 8 points.

The panettone tradizionalle, granola bar, almond croissant and cinnamon swirl are all 9 points.

The brownie bites, fruity flapjack, chocolate twist, original breakfast loaf and mini shortbread bag are all 10 points.

Am now glad I don't drink coffee as a drink and a cake is almost half my days points! Shock

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 21/02/2012 11:36

Grin I was just in Costa myself having a skinny latte and was looking at the cakes with lust. The cinnamon swirl is what I really wanted. So pleased I didn't as it's the same points as my dinner will be. I would have been so mad at myself :)

fatsatsuma · 21/02/2012 11:59

Thanks. Have been to the gym so may succumb to cake Grin
Where do you find out these points values?

Blatherskite · 21/02/2012 12:42

I'm doing WW online so I just checked the points tracker...

fatsatsuma · 21/02/2012 13:26

Thanks. I'm also doing it online but via their app, and I'm not finding it very user-friendly. Blush
For instance, if I search for specific costa items, it often can't find them - like the apple, cinnamon and raisin muffin I had earlier BlushBlush

Jnice · 21/02/2012 14:04

The database is crap, I have to calculate everything. I was used to my fitnes pal with the barcode scanner - this is a real letdown.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 21/02/2012 18:40

OMG the WW pancake recipe is disgusting :( I've now done the Good Food recipe normal pancakes adn Jamie Oliver American pancakes. Think I might have used up a few of my points today Blush

KenDoddsDadsDog · 21/02/2012 19:11

I have just made Delia pancakes and eaten less. Bloody want to hoover up the pile warming in the oven for DH though.
