hello people.
You are all doing so well!
I've not been on much as I needed a little break. To eat cake!
Back on points this week tho.
Really need to lose these last six pounds.
For my own sanity.
If I get to goal, do I remain a member for free online?

Hope you are all well.
By the way, 1 pound losses are great. I've lost 2 stone over 2 years! Don't get much slower then that!!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/02/2012 22:00

Used my weeklies on a McDonalds! Feel grim now but really enjoyed it!

Blatherskite · 02/02/2012 22:08

I did that a couple of weekends ago when we were at a kids party there Ken.

I had the most horrible stomach pains for the rest of the evening! Ah well, at least it's put me off for a bit Wink

I was complaining about slow weight loss a while ago and was told "slow off stays off" which I'm hoping is true. 1lb off is better than nothing.

I wondered if we got to stay members for free too Devils. I know if you get to goal you get free membership if you're going to meetings. I bet it's not the same online.

Blatherskite · 02/02/2012 22:11

I was right Sad "Gold membership is only available to meetings members and does not include our online fee-based products including Weight Watchers eSource or Weight Watchers Online"

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/02/2012 22:13

I'm fully expecting an interesting stomach Blathers! Especially after a really low fat diet for three weeks. Grin
But the fries were heaven.

Blatherskite · 02/02/2012 22:24

I had a proper blow out with a Big Tasty which is about 25 points all on it's own!! It tasted so good but I really did pay for it later.

I was naughty yesterday and celebrated getting to under 9st with a KFC fillet burger Blush I kept within points but you could definitely tell I'd been eating crap when I went to the loo this morning! (TMI apologies)

Got to be really good this week to make sure I stay under 9st now. If I go back over again - and it's close, I was only 8st 13.6! - I'll be devastated.

piprabbit · 02/02/2012 22:43

I'm so impressed with all the losses this week. Well done everyone.
I suspect that I've not had a good week. The cold weather makes me want to hibernate with a big plate of carbs and sugar.
WI is tomorrow, but I'm sitting here feeling horribly bloated.

ThatVikRinA22 · 03/02/2012 01:22

my shifts will never be over....Sad
so id better get my ass into gear. done better today though, just done an absolute mare of a shift at work (dont ask cos i cant tell you but i was in a very sticky situation) so having a well earned glass of wine, but im within points so not feeling guilty!

wondering if i should count from midnight to midnight.

anyway - nights tomorrow, but at the gym at 2pm for an hour. will have porridge at lunch, a meal before i go to work and a sandwich or cereal in the early hours....should keep me something like within points.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 03/02/2012 06:13

Hi vicar

Midnight to midnight sounds sensible as it ignores the fact that you are on shifts. It does sound so complicated to make sure you eat right when you are working when we are sleeping. How many nights do you have to do a week?

GravityDefier · 03/02/2012 09:53

Hello everyone, after last week not going too well I had put on everything I had lost the two weeks before, i.e. 600 grams. I was quite upset about that but know where I went wrong.
I have been ok so far this week but have been eating a few of my weeklies. Without them I can just never afford any snacks.

However, last night was a bit of a falling of the wagon somehow and I could do with some help.

I found out that I got a job (if i finish my degree with the right grades) and went to celebrate a bit.
There were sandwiches and I had three triangles. I assume one triangle is about half a slice? One was with cheese and tomatoe and the other two with ham. I also had 4 dorito chips and a rum and diet coke.

Then when I went home I had some (a lot of!) chocolate. That I can calculate but I am not sure about the stuff in the pub. Can anyone help me try and figure out how many points that would be please? I want to see whether all my leftover weeklies are gone (I assume so).

If it was more than the weeklies, could I write down how many it was and then say that I have to do those extra points with sports? Or do you have to do sports first and only then use the points? I hope that makes sense.

supersalstrawberry I know I shouldn't weigh every day but it's hard to resist the temptation. I have been trying to be good the last few days but sneak a weigh in in every now and then. But definitely not every day, that is driving me bonkers.

GravityDefier · 03/02/2012 09:55

Oh those sandwiches of course had some sort of spread on them, not sure it was mayo but it had that sort of texture. So that would probably up the points quite considerably.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 03/02/2012 10:14

So that's a max of 5 for the bread. Probably four. One for ham and two for cheese. Haven't got my calculator to handf for the rest. Its not too bad at all. Full fat coke is 4 or 5

ThatVikRinA22 · 03/02/2012 17:14

ben10 - its only 2 every 10 days. i WI again this morning and have lost that lb i put on....now got to keep it off and try for a bit more.

Thank you Ben so I will count the bread as 5, it was a mix if brown and white bread. Plus the stuff on it makes 8. A tablespoon of mayo is 3 pp it seems, but I don't think it would have been that much somehow. But that would get me up to 11. That's a lot for that little sandwich!

Rum is 2 points for 25ml, I don't think a pub would put more than that into a rum and (diet) coke somehow. I saw online that a small bag of dorritos is 5 points but I had 3 or 4, so nowhere near that much. Maybe 1 or 2 points?

So my night out costs about 15 points, and that's without the chocolate I then had at home :( Oh well.

But you are right super I did deserve that going out. Thank you, it's all really exciting.

Blatherskite · 04/02/2012 16:23

Tonight we're having one of my favourites - spaghetti con pomodorini. It's basically loads and loads of tomatoes (about 450g for 2 people) cut in half and arranged on a baking tray. Then you slice 3 garlic cloves into fine slices and arrange them on top, sprinkle with a little salt and bake them for 1hr 15 mins at 160 degrees.

They go all soft and squidgy and the baking dries out the tomatoes a bit and really intensifies the flavour.

And it's point free!!!

Add some pasta, a handful of torn basil - and a splash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil if you have the points spare - and it makes a delicious low point meal.

I took DD to a party this afternoon and managed to stop myself picking at the party food so I'm feeling very virtuous. I got told by lots of people that I haven't seen in a while that I'm looking really good and like I've lost loads of weight which is really good to hear. Feeling really snack-y now though so my will power is taking a battering. Keep reminding myself that I am only just under 9st and one blow out could take me back over. That's keeping me on the straight and narrow - for now.

Blatherskite · 04/02/2012 16:32

Oh and I highly recommend the WW magazine this month. I've just been through it and fancy pretty much every recipe in there! That never normally happens to me as I'm such a fussy bugger but they really all do look yummy this month.

devilsadvocaat · 05/02/2012 07:44

Have been away on a hen do. Had 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner. Woops.

Did swim for an hour tho!

Wi tomo...

MelodyPondering · 05/02/2012 13:22

Hi all, can I join? I went back to ww after losing 3st 12lbs in 2010 and putting almost all of it back on in 2011.Sad

Me and dh are going on our long awaited (8years awaiting!) honeymoon in August and my ideal Target would be 9st 7lbs which is 4st off...

I went to the meeting last Tuesday but have been very ill with a cold (very ill needed comfort food, you understand Wink) so today is day one.

I am hoping for a big loss a week on Tuesday....

MelodyPondering · 05/02/2012 13:23

Oh and I've bought the 30 day shred, anyone done it? It's been sitting by the tv watching me eat giant pizza's...

Blatherskite · 05/02/2012 20:31

Welcome Melody. I've been doing the 30 day shred. It's really hard but it works.

WI tomorrow. Little bit worried as I am definitely about to come on and am feeling very bloated. Been good all weekend and have stayed within points with no weeklies so I'm hoping it'll be a good one.

5inthebed · 05/02/2012 21:28

I'm back! Anyone miss me Grin

Had three weeks of no kitchen so needless to say the Ww has not gone very well. Back on track from tomorrow though, fingers crossed there will be no blips (apart from the decoraters papering my kitchen tomorrow, but that is not too bad and can be worked around.

Who was it who was asking about Android apps? I found a great one, Points Plus Diary, cost £1 but it works just like the WW one and has loads of different foods included branded ones. Great to use when you're out and need to point things. Also has a barcode scanner and will bring up the points for a few things, but not the greatest really.

Good luck everyone for the next week. Lots of positive weight loss vibes.
