I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

OP posts:
piprabbit · 24/01/2012 21:22

WW say that even if you eat all your dailies, weeklies and activity points you should still lose weight (a little slower though), so I wouldn't worry about using all your weeklies on treating yourself in a nice restaurant. It's exactly what I think they are for.
Ham pizza - yum.

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 21:31

Thank you both. I guess that are what they are for but I am impatient and would like to lose weight quickly Blush. But there are so many events, dinners etc coming up and I don't want to miss out all the time. I will just try and use as little from my weeklies as possible. And up my exercise.

I think Pizza Express might be a bit more like an Italian restaurant, Dominos is amazing but I think the dough is thicker and it's a bit more greasy and American overall.

I think I will go for either Margarita or ham, and point myself somewhere between 20 and 25 points. Ham doesn't have many points overall. Does that seem fair?

I really appreciate all your help, DP is a bit overwhelmed (or bored!?) with my points talk

piprabbit · 24/01/2012 22:01

I think it sounds like you are being very realistic. Once you've made your decision and planned what you are going to have it is so much easier to keep on track and stay in control. Hope you have a lovely time.

Everyone get yourself to Tesco for 4 WW ready meals for £2. These are the range that are normally £1.75 each. Picked up 8 this morning. Might have to go back for more later Grin

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/01/2012 18:41

im still here....shifts have really buggered up all my good intentions. i never know what meal im meant to be on....Sad

thanks for that ben10 - i will send dh tomorrow!

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/01/2012 18:43

...and i dont know when to weigh in either...on nights tonight so if i weigh tomorrow morning it will be like weighing last thing at night...will have to think about this!
think i may weigh when i get up, but by then, i will have eaten 'breakfast' as supper before i go to bed....shifts really are a pita when trying to diet.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/01/2012 19:37

Has anyone used Agave Nectar

Blatherskite · 25/01/2012 20:51

Vicar, I think if it were me, I'd track the meals as if I were still on days IYSWIM. So the first meal you eat when you wake up is 'breakfast' even if you're eating it at everyone else's dinner time. That is assuming you're eating breakfast type food I guess. I'd weigh when I woke up too - more because you're likely to weigh less before you eat or drink than you will later on in the day Wink

I haven't tried Agave Nectar but I have tried Laughing Cow Light Cheese triangles. My advice - don't. Not only are they vile but they're 1 point each - just like full fat Dairylea! No saving on points and it's not even nice to eat!

I love Dairylea sandwiches for lunch and I've found stuffing them with half a punnet of cress adds bite and makes them feel much more substantial without adding any points.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 25/01/2012 21:08

DH loves the Laughing Cow extra light triangles. They are 2 for 1PP. He has them every day. I have discovered extra light Philadelphia which tastes really luxurious to me. Everyone likes something different :)

Super, well done on that weight loss. I find it hard not to weigh every day.

*Vicar, I agree with everyone else. I have done nights in the past and it makes eating properly quite hard, doesn't it? When it's dark and no one sees it it's easier to get the comfort food out, especially when tired.

So I went to that Italian place last night and had a lovely time. I stuck to my plan and only had a pizza, no wine, starter or dessert. I felt quite proud of myself but a sneaky weigh in this morning showed me as heavy as TWO WEEKS ago. I hope some of it is fluctuation, it's quite depressing!

bintofbohemia · 26/01/2012 13:28

Sounds like everyone's doing well this week! Smile

I realised last night that I haven't been counting my soya milk in my tea for the whole week. So last night I added 1.5 litres onto my daily total and have less than 10 weekly points left for the week... I have racked up LOADS of exercise points though so am hoping for a good result this week. Although the batteries have just gone in my scales so I can't have a sneaky weigh in until I find some more...

ThatVikRinA22 · 26/01/2012 14:46

1lb off for me....at least its a loss! going right way!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 26/01/2012 17:10

I'm lurking and taking heart from all your inspiration. I rejoined WW online two weeks ago and my first weigh in was last week where I lost 6lbs. Just shows how much rubbish I must have been eating... Blush

Hoping for 1 or 2 this week and have been trying F&H which has been great.

Well done everyone.

If you are still within your points then you aren't eating too much. Sounds much like me. I'm on 26 pp and this is my yesterday:

Breakfast
porridge 3 with 100g of rachel's organic yog 1 and tinned peaches stirred in
milk 2 for tea throughout day

Lunch
2 slices of hovis wheatgerm bread 3
tesco light cottage cheese with pesto 1 (now remember why I don't like cottage cheese)
Salad 0

Dinner
Aldi Hot Smoked Salmon with lime and chilli 7 (delicious will stock up)
Small jacket potato (165g) 3
tbsp mayo/0% yog dressing 1
Salad 0

Snacks
snack a jacks 3
Raw carrots/ apples/ banana/more raw carrots/more raw carrots Grin
Some hot choc that my son didn't drink - didn't work out points but still put it down :)

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 27/01/2012 07:36

Yay Vicar and hi Addictedtocrunchies

Yesterday was seriously craving Sainsburys taste the difference honeycomb and toffee icecream. Last time I had some (pre WW) I had half a pot which was 16 points Blush I don't think having any in the freezer would do my PP any good!

GravityDefier · 27/01/2012 10:49

It's scary how many points some stuff has, isn't it Ben? I bought some biscuits the other day and came home to see that they are 8 points each. Sure they are big ones but 8 points? That's more than my lovely lasagne the other night. So I haven't had one and told DP he has to eat them this weekend so I am not tempted.

I keep weighing myself every day and being disappointed. The pizza pound is still there, looks like I won't have a loss this week. :(
Someone take away my scales please!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 27/01/2012 12:00

8 points for a biscuit :O They must be good ones for that. I have a tin of mackarel that I bought thinking it was healthy - 8 PP for that. I'd rather not thanks :) I still am having trouble constipation wise even with regular lactulose. I'm not loosing very quickly unfortunately cos of it.

I have discovered Your Shape 2012 on the Xbox Kinect. Boy is it hard work but it is shaping me up even if the scales aren't showing it. I'm very unfit due to my surgery so even 10 minutes is good for me at the moment. Better than sitting on my bum!

Well done 5lbs is loads!!!!
I was dismayed to eat a go ahead cracker thing and it was 2 points. Would rather have a bag of walkers lites.

piprabbit · 27/01/2012 17:03

So glad that people are seeing some losses - fantastic news.
I lost 2lb this week, so I've now lost 2 stone. [happy]
I just wish someone in RL would notice and say something. Sad
Oh well, nose to the grindstone for another fun week.

Blatherskite · 27/01/2012 18:30

No-one has said anything to me in RL either pip!

Admittendly, I've only lost half a stone but I'd still like someone to notice!

I really wanted to lose 2.8lbs this week as that would get me down to 9st 0 which is a nice not so round number but I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I've only lost 1.2lbs and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to shift another 1.6lbs before Monday. Especially not with Sunday Dinner at SILs on Sunday!!

piprabbit · 27/01/2012 20:44

2.8lbs is a lot in one week - but it is very achievable in two weeks. I'll look forward to your update Grin

Blatherskite · 27/01/2012 20:52

I lost 2.8lbs in my first week on WW and I started on a Wednesday so it wasn't even a full week - but I've never lost that much since and it does get harder as your body gets used to having less food.

Ah well, even if I lose no more between now and Monday, I've reached my half stone which isn't bad going and I might still lose the rest before February starts which would be a nice way to start the month.
