I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

WI today and I've lost 1.6lbs! Not bad after having pizza and McDonalds last week!

WW is counting it as 2lbs too as they don't do parts of a pound so I'm down as 9st 2 rather than 9st 2.8 which is what my scales have me at.

Quite excited and very motivated as I managed to lose 2.8lbs in my first ever, not even full week doing WW so if I can be very, very good, I might even make it down below 9st next WI for the first time since I got married!!

If I can carry on at this rate (unlikely) I'll make it to goal weight before my 3 months runs out!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 23/01/2012 10:04

Annoyed as the lactulose didn't work and today is WI day. 2oz off 3lbs in my first week so pleased with that. Based on what you've said Blathers WW would make me 3lbs lost (DH has the online membership, I just track seperately). Thats not bad but a few days ago BPT (before poo trouble) I was down to 10st 10 which was a 5lb loss. Oh well, I know that WW is working anyway...

Porridge made with water with a 2pp yogurt and 0pp tinned peaches in juice mixed in. Yummy and huge bowl for 5pp.

Thank you dashi that is just the sort of encouragement I need :) Exactly the sort of weightloss I want and I have 5 months to do it too - before my brother's wedding in June.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 23/01/2012 10:05

Well done Blathers BTW Grin Great loss even with McDs and pizza!

bintofbohemia · 23/01/2012 10:13

Well, weighed in this morning and I've lost 2lbs. But I'm not convinced by my scales anymore. Starting that 7 day juice diet today for a bit of a kickstart.

Blatherskite · 23/01/2012 13:53

Oh ouch 30 day shred hurt today! Having a week off and going straight back to level 2 was not a good idea!

sal - if you're still within your points you're doing well. Smile AF's a nightmare for sabotaging good intentions. (For me anyway!)

GravityDefier · 23/01/2012 22:28

I was sooo good all day and even only had soup for dinner as I had few points left and now just stuffed my face with chocolate while working :( Weigh in tomorrow, not going to be great

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 09:03

Official weigh in this morning: 1 pound off. Not really happy somehow as I know it could have been more without that huge curry and my chocolate binge last night, for which I couldn't even use weekly points (they were all gone after my curry).

But I guess at least it's going down and I get new weekly points today.

Got invited to a restaurant with a sort of friend (don't know her too well yet) and some of her family members. Pretty casual but I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb and only order a starter or whatever. I looked at the restaurant's homepage, but I can't seem to find anything low point and not too expensive. I guess steak would be ok but I don't want to spend that much

Could anyone have a look at the [[

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 09:04

Oh no, I pressed post by accident. I wanted to ask whether anyone could please have a look at the menu please and help me pick something? I'd like to go there all prepared so I don't pick something with a hundred PPs.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 24/01/2012 11:08

Minestrone soup to start?

steak and salad?
monkfish saltimbocca with market greens?

Enjoy.... it looks lovely!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 24/01/2012 11:10

Actually the swordfish arrabiata shoudl be food

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 24/01/2012 11:10

good

piprabbit · 24/01/2012 11:33

I tried the porridge with raspberries and honey today and it was lovely and very filling - thanks for the suggestion everyone. I trying soya milk for the first time too - and am impressed so far - it certainly tasted good in the porridge and is lower in points than my usual milk.

ThatVikRinA22 · 24/01/2012 16:47

i bollocksed up so much yesterday i gave up counting.

still - onward and upward.

i mix my porridge with half skimmed milk and half water -
i use 0% fat fromage frais (natural) - 2 tble spoons
then dump the rasps on top of that
then drizzle with golden syrup

it was in one of my WW leaflets from wayyyy back. thats all ive had today - but on nights tonight so will eat through the night.

Blatherskite · 24/01/2012 17:54

I've only had one meal today too. DS wanted a 'Chinese Feast' so I've snacked on fruit all day to save my points up and am glad I did as, having worked out just how many points that meal was, I used every last one of them on it! Shock

Ah well, he's happy and at least I didn't go over.

No shred today as DD just wouldn't nap. I'm going to have to come up with something that will keep her quiet for 20 minutes while I do it if she's going to keep this up!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 24/01/2012 19:06

DH made me a fab little mix to take to work.
No added sugar muesli , low fat yoghurt and fruit soaked together over night. Really filling and low points. Have been getting bored of naked fruit!!

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 24/01/2012 19:55

Made roasted bn squash and pepper soup last night. Free on PP. It was v nice and thick when I had it for lunch today. I've never managed to make soup before that I like.

Then DH wanted to have KFC for dinner as he still had 30 something points left over. However it was strange. I always always have the zinger burger meal but I just didn't want it. The sight of the fat running down his fingers when he was eating pieces of chicken was rank. I had the new Streetwise Flamin' Hot wrap. Can't find any NV for it apart from on the sign in the restaurant it said 340kcal. Divided that by 40 to make the PP (I think that's what you can do). Made it 8.5PP so 9PP. It was actually really filling and was enough - no drink and only 6 of DS's chips. I am starting to realise how much I overate before.....

I still have 7PP left and I'm not hungry :)

devilsadvocaat · 24/01/2012 20:07

Hello you big losers. Arf.

I lost a pound so 10st 6.

Losing sight of the goal, not sure whether to sign up again or just try to go it alone without tracking.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 24/01/2012 20:30

I definitely wouldn't be able to do it without tracking but I am sort of doing 2 for the price of 1 as DH has the WW onlne membership. Did you see it up there that you can sign up for free through Quidco for 3 months.

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 20:31

Thank you Ben10. I find the Steak quite expensive, otherwise I would go for that. I am moving in summer and have to save as much as I can in the next few months and can't really justify spending twenty pounds on a night out all by myself. Especially because DP would like to go out on Valentines Day and I got a few big events planned later this year (NEED to fit back into my good dresses!)

Also, I really fancy a good pizza Blush Is there any way I can have one? I can't find generic points for margarita and pepperoni pizza online somehow.

I think that when you eat healthy and without too much fat your body gets kinda used to it and extreme fat is not as appealing. Not saying you don't fancy it at all, but I think you are more conscious and that effects your appetite if you're lucky.
I am also not as good at stomaching things like take out chips etc when I eat pretty little fat otherwise.

Devils, do you not find posting in here motivating enough? Did it work better when you were signed up? Well done on your pound :)

Ken, that sounds great!

I got some bread in my new bread maker, it smells delicious! I got it for Christmas and have been using it a lot. Homemade bread appears to be much more filling.

piprabbit · 24/01/2012 21:04

I do enjoy a nice pizza Grin. Friday night is often pizza night and I have 1/3 of a large thin-crust pizza (shared with DH) for between 9 and 13 points.
I'd avoid the pepperoni as it can be very oily and maybe plan on not eating the whole thing (depends how huge it comes up) - but really enjoy whatever you do choose to have, there's no point in using all those points and spending money only to feel guilty about it.

[jealous] of your homemade bread - sounds lovely.

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 21:12

Can I ask for the ham and mushroom pizza without mushrooms? I might go for ham, I prefer that over just margarita.

It's a proper Italian place so not pizza hut or whatever, so I think the pizza would be a standard size, not super large and thick.
I have used one point of my weeklies today but maybe I could just write them off completely and enjoy a pizza tomorrow? Then I don't have to faff about too much. Not sure that's how it really works though, especially as I should probably not eat my weeklies every week.

My mother didn't want her bread maker anymore so I basically inherited it. It is quite lovely, especially as I am German and this gives me the chance to bake German bread and not live of toast all the time. Not that I don't like British bread/toast, but it doesn't fill me up all that much somehow.

GravityDefier · 24/01/2012 21:20

Oh I just found points for Pizza Express online. It says Margarita is 18 to20 points. That would probably be about the same in other restaurants, wouldn't it?

Blatherskite · 24/01/2012 21:22

I googled when we had Dominos last week and found a WW chat forum with all the points for their pizzas on...

Pizza Express probably closer to a proper Italian pizza though
