I WILL lose weight now. Anyone up for doing this with me and having a nice safe threat to bore the pants off everyone share our progress?

Vicar I haven't got any raspberries but will make sure I get some in :)

Do I need to invest in a slow cooker? I had one before but everything seemed to be too watery. I think I did it wrong Hmm

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 18/01/2012 20:08

I am v disappointed that I only have a daily allowance of 26 PP. It just doesn't seem much compared to DH with his 48 dailies. He always has loads of points to snack in the evening if he likes :(

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/01/2012 20:11

i got a slow cooker the other week from Tesco for £12 - it has been an absolute godsend!! i love it.

i dont understand why ive not lost this week, today i have had the princely sum of 14 points and i did another run today of 2 miles (im building back up slowly since my fall)

im pissed off, i will double check tomorrow but i suspect i have not lost an ounce.

saying that....i have just realised i have not had a period for 7 weeks....if i am pg i am divorcing my DH and i mean it....he had the snip but never went back for his follow up appts....im sure i am not though. pretty certain. wonder whats going on with my body....?

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 18/01/2012 20:15

Maybe you are building muscle Vicar which is more dense than fat.

Shock to the no period. Could it be something to do with dieting?

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 18/01/2012 20:15

Which SC did you get?

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/01/2012 20:24

SC this one

does the job.

dont think the no show is to do with dieting as only been dieting for 2 weeks.

i think i will just pee on a stick to make absolutely sure but certainly dont feel pg, just realised today as been off sick for almost 7 weeks since the fall and not had AF in all that time....i dont keep track these days. maybe i should....

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 18/01/2012 20:29

mmm, I'd go with killing the DH anyway. Grin POAS might be a good idea....

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/01/2012 20:33

trust me, in all seriousness i would not be a happy bunny...he would be the first to go in my frenzied spree with a frying pan....or his bollocks would at any rate. i did contraception for 20 years, so i give him his turn and if he has fucked it up i will kill him. i have nagged and nagged him to go for his check ups to make sure it all worked....

my youngest is almost 15. im knocking 40. ive just started my career after giving my entire 20's and most of my 30's to the kids and him...

his bones would be found under my patio.

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/01/2012 20:34

anyway....on that note im off for a G&slimline T

devilsadvocaat · 18/01/2012 20:36

I got my period today. So that explains The chocolate binge. I ate a massive chocolate brownie today too. Please don't throw me off the thread.

Vicar, go pee on a stick!

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/01/2012 20:43

im sure im not, i knew straight away with my 2 and ive no symptoms at all - i only realised tonight that it had been so long since AF, maybe its just on its way.

i will get a cheapo test if there is no sign in next couple of days just to be certain.

DashingRedhead · 18/01/2012 21:10

It all sounds like you're having v interesting times! I had a bit of a crash today, on the crisps. Think I'll be ok because of 12 exercise points from yesterday but just wish I didn't make such bad choices when hungry! Snacking on fruit is not always a good idea - I had an awful IBS episode today from too much fruit. Not nice. Especially not at work. Sorry if TMI Blush.

Blatherskite · 18/01/2012 21:42

I missed shredding today. Was too busy picking up hire cars and arguing with Insurance companies Sad

Still don't seem to have got my appetite back so I didn't eat until Dinner time again today. Not good really as by the time I realise I'm hungry, I'm absolutely starving and want junk. Managed to talk myself out of chips after the dentist tonight (the chippy is right next to the dentists so it's always a temptation when we've been for a check up) and had pasta instead.

Hopefully, things will start getting back to normal a bit now I have a car again. DD's been missing her naps and it's usually while she naps that I shred so once our days are back to normal and she can have a sleep in the afternoon, I can get back on it again once my ribs feel better. It was only a minor crash so hopefully, it won't be long.

I'm definitely beginning to feel slimmer which is helping me stay focused. I have just one chin for the first time in years!

Catching up on the thread before bed, and I'm amazed at all the action that I've missed over the last few days.
Blathers - I hope you are feeling better and the insurance stuff is settling down to a low-level irritation (rather than mega-stressor).
Vicar - I've never been on a POAS by stealth thread before - I hope it works out for you quickly.

bintofbohemia · 19/01/2012 09:12

Morning - I think my scales might be rubbish. I seem to have lost 4lbs overnight. Or could it be that I hadn't put the 4lbs on in the first place?! Hmm Relieved either way.

ThatVikRinA22 · 19/01/2012 11:07

well as i suspected - lost nothing. nada. zilch.

pissed off now and going to go and sulk. i have done virtually the same as last week and gone running in addition! and no loss. bah....

Blatherskite · 19/01/2012 13:42

But did you gain any?

If not, I'd still count that as a win.

ThatVikRinA22 · 19/01/2012 13:43

not gained

just not lost either.

DashingRedhead · 20/01/2012 06:33

Sal, how nice to know I'm not the only one. You know Waitrose do peeled and sliced butternut squash?

We're very keen on our convenience ingredients here - we also buy the chopped and frozen garlic and onions. They save SO much time.

Ben10HasFinallyLeftTheBuilding · 20/01/2012 06:57

Have you POAS yet Vicar?

Dashing I might look into the frozen garlic and onions as I have problems chopping. My hands are numb from the chopping I did yesterday :( Are they reasonable value compared to normal onions?

I have found two low point things I think might make my WW life a bit easier - Options mint choc drink at only 1 PP plus a bit of my daily milk allowance. The milk makes it so much creamier and more like chocolate. I am going to go and buy the rest of the range today. Also going to go and buy 2 finger kitkats at 2PP. My guilty pleasure food is Knorr Chicken Noodle soup that you get in a packet. 2PP for half a packet and I absolutely love it anyway. Hoping that will be a decently filling lunch for me to keep some of my miserly 26PP for snacks so I feel less hard done by Grin.

piprabbit · 20/01/2012 18:23

My 1.5lb loss has been rather lost in feeling sorry for myself because it isn't more. Plus WW has taken a pp away from me because I have lost weight - not fair .

ThatVikRinA22 · 20/01/2012 19:20

i did poas - negative. phew!!

its friday and i want some wine. i would like a loss next week though.

today ive had my porridge/fromage frais/ rasps
a tiny banana mid morning before i went running

tuna and light mayo sandwich

chicken and veg (slow cooked)

ive gone running and not snacked on anything other than the banana.

im going to wait until 9 o clock and have 1 glass of red wine.

surely to god i must lose something next week going like this?

im back to work on Tuesday and im straight onto nights....i think shifts really knack my diet attempts up, am going to go with bags of fruit.

Peppapigsarse · 21/01/2012 00:25

piprabbit I had the same problem but they took 2 from me Sad am away next week with work 3 nights hotel/cooked breakie etc.... defo gonna gain especially as Sat night we have a 40th Party................ I wish I was a natural skinny minnie!

GravityDefier · 21/01/2012 10:32

May I join you please?

I have been trying to do several diets last year, including counting calories and my fitness pal but I have been feeling incredibly deprived.
I joined a friend and went to a weight watchers group when I was home in Germany over the holidays and it's working quite well.

I lost 2kg (4 pounds) in ten days in Germany and another 100 gram in my first week back in Scotland, but that week I was sick and had a few really bad days, so that's ok (even though it's disappointing, of course). But for 2.5 weeks I think a weight loss of 2.1 kilos is not bad.

The scales in both places were different but I am now at about 68.9 kilos (my weigh in last Tuesday), which is 10st 11.9lb.
And I am 5.58ft.
Not sure how much I would like to weigh, but definitely more than 1.5 stone still to go. I am in the healthy weight range now but for my body I am way too chubby.

I can't afford to go to classes every week unfortunately so I will have to try and do it at home, including my not completely exact scales. So I could really do with some extra support :)

This week I had quite a few of my weekly extras but I am not sure whether I should really eat them all, seems like too much.
