I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

Pleasant, not peasant!

Katiekatiekatekate · 10/01/2012 15:11

Hi! Newbie here... do you really do it every day and does it really only take 20 minutes?

serotoninbutterfly · 10/01/2012 15:16

Hello napdamnyou i am slightly naughty as unable to work out over the weekend (too much going on!) so I have 2 days off a week but am enjoying it all so far!

Definitely feeling skinnier though Grin

gamerwidow · 10/01/2012 20:23

Did level 2 day 1 today and I think its actually easier then level 1. I even managed some of it as Natalie which I never did as Level 1 :).

Chesterado · 10/01/2012 21:00

Thanks pickle glad others starting to feel its working too. I officially cannot do

  • pendulum lunges
  • squat jumps
  • walking press ups
  • plank jumpy thing
  • chair squats

Apart from that all ok. Day off tomorrow for big night out in London must try not to undo all the good work.

Picklepoff · 10/01/2012 21:26

I'm having a cheeky day off but back on it tomorrow and might try and do level 1 and 2 to make up for it.
I'm another one with tins instead of weights. Soon as I've got some spare cash I'll get some. Also I keep using the tins for dinner Wink

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 10/01/2012 21:33

Hi, did this last year, had to stop but am now getting back into the routine.
It works, I did 30ds and some of her other dvd's over a period of 2 months. Lost 10 inches and 5lbs and didn't really alter my diet beyond a little portion control. I would say not to do this everyday, try and vary the exercise by breaking it up with some cycling, walking or swimming and days of nothing! I don't think it's good for the body to exercise a such a high intensity everyday. The muscle soreness you get is the muscles fibres that have ripped (only a tiny amount and normal with this type of exercise) mending themselves, this is what makes them bigger and stronger. I would do more stretches at the end of the session as well. Don't concentrate on weight loss, measure yourself instead. Happy shredding!

CuriousMama · 10/01/2012 21:43

I sent for this dvd but have yet to start it. I have 2 stone to lose. Am 13st but will be happy with 11st. My stomach is my worst part am sick of being asked if I'm pg Sad

Glad you're all motivated though am going to do it tomorrow see how I fair?

bigTillyMint · 10/01/2012 21:45

Chesterado, me too!

Pickle, I got these - thouht they were pretty good value, though you can't make dinner from them!

putyourhatonsweetie · 11/01/2012 10:24

level 2 day 11, managed all the plank jacks but sounded like I was in labour [drama queen]

LuckyC · 11/01/2012 12:21

Argh! My day off has turned into 4 days off. Yoga class today will Shred again tomorrow. Furious with self!

buggyRunner · 11/01/2012 13:44

Day 13 level 3 done- had yesterday off so I'm aching now!

OP posts:
Napdamnyou · 11/01/2012 15:12

Day five level one ticked. Even though I had a bad night's sleep,it was easier.I ,moved up to four pound weights for all but the side lunges. Noticed that I have stopped wanting to eat the baby's leftover crusts and was satisfied last night with a potato, msmall piece of fish, broccoli and spinach, without yearning for cheese etc afterwards.

Think I can see more definition already. Especially shoulders.

DH is a convert, really excited about it!

assumpta · 11/01/2012 15:57

Started today, level 1 day 1, my co-ordination is completely rubbish. I stretched for longer, as recommended by some of the lovely ladies on here, but felt quite shaky afterwards. Did anyone else feel shaky? I did sweat it out and thought I was going to throw up a couple of times, but kept at it. I found it quite difficult, but I do so little exercise that it didn't surprise me. For me the cardio the hardest. Can I expect to be sliding downstairs on my bottom tomorrow instead of walking down in pain?

gamerwidow · 11/01/2012 19:55

Yes I felt really shaky after level 1 day 1 and my legs hurt for about 4 days afterwards.
I did level 2 day 1 yesterday and i didn't hurt at all today so it does get easier.

assumpta · 11/01/2012 20:32

That's good to hear gamer.

jen127 · 11/01/2012 21:11

Level 1 day 3 tick ! It seems to be passing more quickly now!

CuriousMama · 11/01/2012 22:19

Level 1 day 1 .....I started it yay Grin

Found it ok tbh but I walk a lot with pooch so not totally unfit. Only thing I struggled with was first set of push ups. 2nd set much easier. I think I was in shock as hadn't watched dvd first so didn't know what was coming? I definately recommend watching it first to have prior warning.

I did low fat chicken dupiaza with lemon rice for dinner so having a good day all round. Just need to keep it up as have 2 stone to lose at least

Picklepoff · 11/01/2012 23:20

Ooh cheers Tilly those are just the type of thing I'm after, roll on payday! Well all my talk of making up for yesterday failed to spur me into action. Day 2 level 2 done. With lots of stopping to they and understand what they were doing but it's definitely making more sense.
I've always had low blood pressure and bad circulation and I have noticed that I am much warmer and feel much better in myself since starting. Now if only I could fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes...

CuriousMama · 11/01/2012 23:30

Picklepoff good news about your circulation Smile I loved it, especially the little time it takes.

Napdamnyou · 12/01/2012 01:13

Well after all my big talk I have randomly snacked on cheese, 2 Belgian chocs and 2 beers today. However, the rest of my food was quite healthy, 2 eggs on wholemeal, a berry, yogurt smoothie (homemade), a tuna, Philly and spinach sandwich and a small tuna potato cake (which DS refused)

I can't really be arsed to diet though, not with all this bf in the night malarkey. I hope it still works.

Is hot where I am and getting hotter so even walking slowly pushing buggy makes me sweat and marching about when there is nil breeze is not very pleasant.

putyourhatonsweetie · 12/01/2012 03:23

assumpta I hurt at the beginning but now on day 12 and don't ache at all - it gets easier, stick with it.

Where are you Napdamnyou? I am in central queensland and it is so bloody hot that I am shredding in the vening with the air con, was sweating at 7am and was only hoovering out the bloody car.

bigTillyMint · 12/01/2012 07:03

Just done day 11 level 2 - no aching now apart from in my lower abs, but still wobbling badly on the standing on one leg pushing weights up move Blush

Is it me, or is level 2 less cardio? Mind you, I'm still sweating like a pig when I've finished!

assumpta · 12/01/2012 07:50

putyourhaton - I have all good intentions to stick with it, so I hope I do.

My shoulder sockets are very achey this morning, but I will shake that out hopefully through the warm up. Children gone to school, so I will start day 2, level 1, in 20 mins.

Do you all tend to eat before exercising? I had a banana yesterday morning, but it started to repeat on me, but I was afraid I would pass out otherwise. I might try some apple today and see how I get on.

Curious - I also have about a stone to lose, and am trying to watch what I eat. We are off the booze for jan, and not missing it too much, and I have eaten most of the Christmas chocs already, but finding it hard to stick to healthy eating.

bigTillyMint · 12/01/2012 07:58

assumpta, I do it first thing and don't eat or drink anything first - no danger of me passing out - plenty of reserves to keep me going Grin

Isn't it strange how we all ache in different places!
