I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

I'm on day 4, been posting elsewhere. It's a bit monotonous but I can handle that for 20 minutes!! nowhere near as achey today!

putyourhatonsweetie · 12/01/2012 08:34

assumpta I have a lot more than a stone to lose so don't know why I am giving you advice, sorry! Blush Hope you are less achey today. I don't consciously eat before hand but usually have done as have to get on with it when it is cool enough and once the dc are in bed so usually about 8pm, 2 hours after dinner. Felt nauseous after the first day of level 2 but probably more to do with my fitness levels and how hot it was than the timing of my meal.

serotoninbutterfly · 12/01/2012 08:36

Today wil be day 5, was really busy yesterday so didn't get to do it. Going to shred and do 6 week 6 pack straight after when DS is napping I think.

buggyRunner · 12/01/2012 09:30

Day 14 level 3 done- I still ache- my quads r killing me! I eat before - as I generally fit it in when the baby naps and the toddler plays. Generally ppl pass out due to dehydration not undereating I think.

I'm in a really good mood today I'm sure doing this shred is making me cope with the kids better.

Even thou I've always run I find I have to rely on others for child care or the weather if taking the pram, and the fact I can shred for me when I want to really makes me happy GrinConfused

serotonin butterfly have asked about it on another thread but can you tell me about this 6 week 6 pack lark? My tummy is my worst area at the moment...

putyourhatonsweetie · 12/01/2012 09:58

posted too soon, that's great Buggyrunner, I find exercise helps me manage my moods really well. Running would be great but, like you, I don't get to go out as much as I would like. Hope your good mood carries on and spreads around.

assumpta · 12/01/2012 10:34

Done it! Much sorer than yesterday. I hope that is normal. I like the fact that, although i find it fairly hard, it is over and done with quickly! I may have to reach for pain killers later. Shock

Level 1 day about 5 and even after a 5-day break (argh) I am now all Natalie. Except for the pressups. Hopeless. I get all the way through the abs even. It's sort of like magic!

Anyway well done you all and I am glad to have done it.

CuriousMama · 12/01/2012 12:57

I haven't done it yet, day 2 level 1. I'll do it later in the day. I have jogged/walked fast to the school as ds2 takes his scooter now and I have to try to keep up Smile Eaten pretty well so far, handful of almonds and beans on toast.

Well done everyone.

putyourhaton it's another Jillian one, is 35 mins and focuses on the core. Harder than shred and more tummy intense! Having a quick water and wee break after day 5 of shred and just about to start day 2 of 6w6p.
Will let you know how it feels afterwards :D

Rollergirl1 · 12/01/2012 15:42

Hi there everyone. I did the whole of 30 day shred in december and definitely was seeing results. Had a couple weeks off over christmas but have been doing Level 3 again this week. I have to say I never really got on with Level 3. I found the cardio a lot more intense but didn't feel like my arms were getting much of a workout. Definitely felt more achey with the level 2 workout.

I've just ordered Ripped in 30. Has anyone else done that yet and know what I can expect?

pregnantpause · 12/01/2012 18:38

Day 11, finally level 2. I found it easier than level 1? Perhaps im fitter. Dp has been doing it with me and he's not got the coordination to master level two yet.

bigTillyMint · 12/01/2012 18:54

Yes, I think it's a little bit easier than level 1 - maybe less cardio? But like your DP, I'm finding the coordination harder Blush

notveryinventive · 12/01/2012 20:16

Ive just done D1L1 and now feel like jelly. I take it thats normal?

How is everybody else doing?

jen127 · 12/01/2012 20:52

D4 L1 woo hoo I hate press ups!

Chesterado · 12/01/2012 21:32

Day 11 day 4 on level two done. Found it tough after a day off and think I might have strained my wrist on walking press ups. Managed a double jump rope though for first time! Keep at it those feeling wobbly!

Picklepoff · 12/01/2012 22:36

3rd day on L2 and it's both easier and harder. Easier as I know what she's going on about and don't have to keep rewinding (still stuck on the pendulum things, bad coordination and balance) but harder because maybe I'm actually doing the moves more like how they ought to be done. Man I was a sweaty beast after today's which I've not been the last couple of times. It feels nice to have pushed myself.inventive Yup! Jelly for the first couple of days. Going up and down stairs was haaaaaard work. Well done on the first day it'll get easier (and harder naturally) but it's worth it :)

ReduceRecycleRegift · 12/01/2012 22:37

hopping over from the chat thread, L1D2 here Smile

Picklepoff · 12/01/2012 22:40

ok this is a little bit embarrassing (and out of character for me really) but does anyone else get a tiny bit motivated by Jillian's patronising encouragement? I kinda love it. yes Jillian I do want to go jeans shopping. Yes Jillian my legs are burning right now Blush
Sad aren't I!

ReduceRecycleRegift · 12/01/2012 23:14

I usually hate exercise DVD motivational banter, but I love Jillian and think she's talking to ME Grin I'ld probably talk back if I could catch my breath!

CuriousMama · 12/01/2012 23:26

I think you'll find she's actually talking to ME Wink

DS2 thinks she's a man Shock????

CuriousMama · 12/01/2012 23:26

Oh I talk back....Blush
