I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

Agghhhh right that makes more sense. I thought it was a suggestion and I didnt get it I can be quite dim sometimes

There's another one!!!!! Will see how this one goes at times.

notveryinventive · 06/01/2012 16:00

Will see how this one goes first Was writing and thinking different things.

buggyRunner · 06/01/2012 16:02

Re pressups- try doing them properly but to make it easier separate your legs and let you bum go higher in the air. Then slowly work on there things and you could do chest presses extra if you're mega keen!

Even when I was doing martial arts 6 times a week and was at my fittest I still couldn't do 'proper' press ups!!

bigTillyMint · 06/01/2012 16:39

Oooh I'll give that a try BR but I don't hold out much hope if SB can't do them and she's half my ageGrin

I'm thhinking that I will keep on with level 1 with the next set up of weights. I am not finding it boring - too busy trying to keep up/do it more like Natalie than AnitaGrin

Has anyone noticed how she stops doing the squats for a couple when Gillian turns away from her?Grin

RnB · 06/01/2012 19:15

Hi ladies, can I join you? I'm on level 1, day 2. Got up to level 1, day 7 a few months ago but then stopped. Determined to do all 30 days this time!

Livingwiththefamished · 06/01/2012 19:20

Just done day 4. I'm now drinking wine... It seems to get harder by the day!

notveryinventive · 06/01/2012 19:40

I think someone said that they were trying to get used to holding their tummy in while exercising. A little tip, try to hold it in all the time, well whenever you remember really.

Back in my late teens/early 20's and I was on a night out, I was holding it in as even when I was a size 10, or even an 8 I still had a little belly. There were times when pregnancy was mentioned by strangers Blush so I got used to holding it in and it wasnt too long before it became toned (obviously its a lot easier getting a size 8 toned than it is a size 18, but it can only help)

I now hold it in when Ironing and walking outside.

bigTillyMint · 07/01/2012 08:27

serotoninbutterfly · 07/01/2012 08:52

I'm having a couple of days off shredding this weekend, got a lot on and don't think I can fit any in. Back to it on Monday though! Grin

putyourhatonsweetie · 07/01/2012 09:55

hurray for the skirt early well done you. Level 1 day 7 done today. getting much better, cracked those anterior raises and the bicycle crunches as soon as I can master a few more press ups instead of the easy version I'll skip up to level 2.

Chesterado · 07/01/2012 20:55

Yikes well just finished day eight but got a bit carried away and tried level two. Dear god it is hard. Seriously hard. Our front rooms isn't big enough either. Expecting new levels of soreness tomorrow!

drywhiteplease · 07/01/2012 21:20

Can you please explain to a shred virgin how it works please? I think Gillian is a bloody slave driver in America biggest looser but my god she has an amazing body.....prefer Bob personally, not as evil!

tilly I'm terrible at the push ups but lover the last 2 days i had a go at doing the big girls push ups. I just went for it, granted I barely moved downwards but I at least got into position and moved a little! Then went back to the easier ones. Yesterday was hard but I tried it and today I managed mostly the big ones. Good luck.
I can't remember who said it but I'm bored too- was thinking of moving up but want to hold out until I'm following Natalie on all the moves...
Also does anyone else feel like they're following Natalie and then look at themselves and see they are barely Anita Blush

putyourhatonsweetie · 08/01/2012 00:13

Earlyonemorning Lol, can picture the scene, but sounds like you are doing great. My dh is always giving comments on my technique - I find getting him to do it mostly shuts him up.

RnB · 08/01/2012 08:01

Have just read some forums and apparently Jillian gas said that she didn't ever mean that 30DS should be done over 30 days, but for 30 days. Ideally 4-5 times a week.

Please tell me this is true as I lay in my warm bed this Sunday morning and REALLY don't want to torture myself

bigTillyMint · 08/01/2012 08:45

Picklepoff, respect! I am going to get DD to coach me how to move to full press-ups someday soon I can't seem to get the bicycle crunches right either Blush
My legs feel like they are following Natalie, but the mirror says they are more Anita. However, I have been pushing myself and my legs are stiff again today. Plus it is difficult to see my legs properly in our mirror as I am exercising.......

RnB, that's a lie put about by slackers Wink

Day 7 level 1 completed Smile

Chesterado · 08/01/2012 09:36

Pickle twas I who said I thought level one was becoming repetitive. Impatient as ever tried level two last night and just to confirm it was v hard and I'm in all sorts of bother this morning. Not sure what if anything will do tonight!

putyourhatonsweetie · 08/01/2012 10:50

l1 day 8 done! have decided to start level 2 tomorrow, as if I actually wait to to be able to do brilliant press ups it will be more like the 120 and then some day shred.

well done everyone;)

buggyRunner · 08/01/2012 14:00

Day 11 level 3 done this morning- dd1 (2.5) did it with me- she had serving spoons as weights! Grin so funny!

I had the day off yesterday (2 days off so far) My word I feel the burn!

With pressups I have done them since I was 14 but I find that once you can do them; you can do them for life
