I started on Christmas day (stocking filler from dp I had been begging for). I'm going to combine it with running and hope it will replace the gym (as post dd2 I have not the time to go as she bf all the time!)

So I've done 2 days im on level 2 and find it tough but good

Omg four pounds is only 1.8 kilos! Though it was more, guess I have a way to go yet!

Chesterado · 16/01/2012 21:46

Day 14 done, seven days into level two. I still feel like I'm going to die as jillian wiuld say.I have rather shapely arms though!

Currently trying to think of a non over indulgent treat for getting halfway tomorrow. Like the idea of new fitness gear but will prob be cake!

ReduceRecycleRegift · 16/01/2012 22:26

professional blow dry?

catsareevil · 17/01/2012 07:46

Im on day 10 now, 4 days since I started level 2, but had a day off yesterday.

Im glad that I took the day off, as I felt the benefit of it this morning. I found level 2 easier, more Natalie less Anita. I think that I might do level 2 one more time before going to level 3.

I looked in the mirror this morning and do think that I see a difference in legs and arms, and possible my belly is a little smaller.

bigTillyMint · 17/01/2012 08:17

Day 14 Level 2 done this morning though I am having to modify the twisty jumps and abs work due to pains in my back Sad

I can do the squats lke Natalie now though

assumpta · 17/01/2012 11:29

Day 7 level 1 this morning. I didn't find it as easy today, perhaps because I didn't do it first thing. Square are deck agley better, but first set of cardio not really any better.

catsareevil when did you change to level 2? And had you found level 1 easy when you moved on to it?

assumpta · 17/01/2012 11:30

Goodness me; that should have read squats are definitely getting better! Not the other gibberish I wrote.

putyourhatonsweetie · 17/01/2012 11:43

Congratulations buggyrunner and thanks everyone for sharing your success. Rather nicely I got into some old shorts today, next challenge is wearing them and actually looking nice!

I have just done level 2 day 17 and my legs are absolutely killing me, I had been getting a bit cocky though so probably deserved. DD starts school next week so really hoping will be able to shred whilst ds naps during the day as am a bit fed up with only getting to it after 8pm.

keep it up all.

jen127 · 17/01/2012 11:53

How do you know that you are ready to go to the next level?

bigTillyMint · 17/01/2012 12:18

jen, I moved onto level 2 when I could do level 1 OK using the medium weights - it was 8 days for me, though I still can't do proper push-ups, just a slight bend at the elbow.

I don't think it is that much harder, just different. However, the twisty jumps seem to have done something to my back.

jen127 · 17/01/2012 13:32

Thanks BTM I can do most of level of 1 but still struggling withthe full press ups with 1 KG weights. I think I might go up a weight size before progressing to level2!

early, me too re the last abs - it looks the same as the DVD, but isn't hurting at all!

rosalux · 17/01/2012 17:40

L1D2 completed this morning. Second star on calendar. Could defnitely feel the press-up ache from yesterday even though I'm very much with Natalie on these. And what's with the side lunging forward press type things in circuit 3! Had to switch down from 3kg to 2kg weights for those and still they're an absolute killer.

catsareevil · 17/01/2012 19:00

assumpta

I did 6 days of level 1 before moving on to level 2.

I wasnt finding level 1 easy but it was getting a lot easier and tbh I was beginning to feel ready for a change. I had planned to do it once or twice and then go back to level 1 if I felt the need, but I havent yet. Level 2 feels a lot more productive, so I prefered to push on with that.

ssmile · 17/01/2012 19:39

Did day 3 of level1 but I'm doing it every other day with lots walking. Boy it makes my butt ache the next day. Couldn't do any full press ups today but did manage five more half press ups :) definitely helping to tone me up in right places as I'm restricting calories to 1600-1800 too lost 4lbs last week very pleased as I'm still breastfeeding most hours of the day as got very hungry 20wk baby. No idea when I will be up for level 2 at least another week away!

TongueTwisted · 17/01/2012 19:49

L1D4 complete. I am definitely not as out of breath or red as I was on the first day but upped my weights to using DP's dumbells at 2.2kg each. I do it in front of the mirrror so I can make sure I keep my back straight and doing the bicep curl/static lunge made my veins stand out in my lower arms.

Abs I find the easiest, my favourite part of the workout. Still struggle with press ups - I can't bring myself to do Natalies ones yet, I find doing the second set extremely hard. But DP said I wasn't out of breath enough by the end and said I ought to consider moving up a level. Not yet though, I think I'll incorporate 10 minutes of her '6 week 6 pack' straight after shredding.

Haven't seen a change but I don't expect one for another couple of weeks.

Well done to all the newbies who have started and to everyone else!

We should all link a before and after picture once we are finished. Or...maybe not.

Chesterado · 17/01/2012 20:47

Day off here killer headache! Assumpta I did seven days in level one have done seven in level two now but going to keep going until I get to ten otherwise I'm looking at 16 days on level three!

Blowdry good suggestion for halfway treat. Has got me thinking I may deserve a massage or something at the end !

jchocchip · 17/01/2012 22:28

Day off here. Did c25k week 4 run 1 and swam 40 lengths though so shred would be too much on top of that... I will do it tomorrow!

ReduceRecycleRegift · 17/01/2012 22:34

owwww
argued with myself all day about whether to do it or not after body combat followed by body balance this morning.. and I did it Grin didn't wanna let Jillian down! Grin (did go down to piddley weights though)
wonder how much I'll pay tomorrow?
anyway L1D6 tick! only 4 more days of L1 left Shock, must admit though that although I wouldn't exactly call it "easy", it's getting kinda "comfortable" and familiar so think it's getting towards time to change it

Have ordered 6 week 6 pack in anticipation of getting to day 30 (because I WILL!)

putyourhatonsweetie · 17/01/2012 23:53

wow, I am so impressed with those fitting in shred and swimming and running and classes at the risk of sounding like Jillian, you guys rock. This is easy for you! I somehow need to find more exercise hours in the day, ho hum.

Also find the last ab exercise on l2 pretty easy. not sure what the fuss is about...

putyourhatonsweetie · 18/01/2012 04:14

L2 day 18 done. very nearly ready to move up but a wee bit scared!

rosalux · 18/01/2012 08:54

L1D3 done! Still feeling achey, especially in my bum cheeks, and hating the anterior lunge things more than ever! Am starting to get annoyed listening to JM. Is it better to switch her off?
