Ladies I banished the scales, decided to sneak them out again and am now the heaviest I have been for months Angry

So back on the wagon for a while, however off to Egypt on Monday en family and my dad, how much can I lose between now and then Hmm

But do you feel wobbly loti? Just do lots of swimming on holiday ( Envy ) and worry about your weight when you get home!

Just updated my weight loss chart, not a pretty sight, but rather bizarrely I noticed that, despite the mad fluctuations in my weight over the last 3 years I always weigh nearly the same at this time of year. 9 April 2010 - 170.25lb; 8 April 2011 - 170lb; 13 April 2010 - 169.75lb. Weird!

Have had cottage cheese and tucking into carrot sticks now. Trying to think of the lovely new dress I buy with my first month's savings from not smoking and want it to be a size 12! Will this work to keep me on the straight and narrow????

Oh yes fjorn. In a few weeks you'll wonder what the attraction of smoking was. Have you given up before? Ibjust woke up one morning and decided that I didn't want to smoke anymore!
Wentt yo Physio last night- leg getting better but no where near ready o run on. :(((weight is ok at 10.5.
Have pt today at 4.

dig I gave up 8.5 years ago having smoked for 15 years, like you I just woke up one day and thought WTF am I doing???? Started again two summers ago, something about camping with two DC which really made me want a cig Grin and it quickly crept back up from the odd one to full-time. 36 hours in I am only thinking about it once or twice a minute but no biscuits yet!

Today is day 1 of Paul McKenna-ing properly, because I always get to maintenance and my relationship with food gets f*ed. One day I'm starving myself, the next I'm craving lots of crap and stuffing myself silly. Hmm So it stops here.

Well done on the stopping smoking. It is so worth it. A friend's husband has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. He's been given 18 months to live. Having to tell their 15 year old son must've been unbearable. Sad Speaking as an ex-smoker myself Smile

Hi loti - I went to the gym and did PT but it was all about trying to repair the torn muscles. So not cardio at all. I'm hoping I can run next week. I have missed running so so much. My new road bike should be ready for next weekend too.

I am going back this am, more to throw the dds in kids club for an hour Blush but will do some more resistance and hopefully a bit more cardio.

I am doing low carbing of sorts to try and ease the tummy bloat, so far so good Smile

I know my child. :)) havnt lost for about 3-4 weeks. Actually doing LESS exercise has meant that I have lost weight. Need to lose another 3 to get to below 10 which would be amazing.

Scales this morning were horrific Sad It's all very well giving up smoking but the only way I have coped has been to continually shove food and drink in to try and distract me from the misery. Seems to have worked a bit though, nearly 5 days in and cravings do seem to be easing, plus have had a proper low-carb day today for the first time in ages so fingers crossed a few more of those will help to undo some of the damage.

Fjorn, i have been BAAADD due to continued illness here. I need to get off the carbs to stop the craving, but I am finding it very hard. Hopefully DD1 back at school tomorrow and i can fight the good fight once more.......

I'm still finding it v hard to get back on track, but fjorn this smoking thing is far more important than the food issue at the moment. The cravings will subside and you can get back into it...maybe we can do a little bootcamp thing (you, me and Octo) to get us re-focussed. You've come this far, keep going, girl!

Is your maintenance not going according to plan then mychild???

Heading into day 3 of new stricter low carbing and it seems to be working as am -3.5 on Monday but still +6.5 on 30 March Shock so still a looong way to go! Just realised that I have been drinking my G&T with full-fat T, doh, so no wonder I have piled the pounds on... Stocked up on slimline now!
