Another thread!

OP posts:

I think everybody has to be careful once they hit maintenance...or we never would have had to lose the weight in the first place!

OctopusSting · 13/03/2012 19:55

LOL MyChild. I just eat feck all in the daytime, especially on days like today when i haven't stopped Confused

True re maintenance, although my mindset has definitely shifted re portions etc. I still can't get the Eskimos and their tiny portions of frozen whalemeat out of my mind as evidence of what our bodies actually need.

onanightlikethis · 13/03/2012 21:04

Oh my oh my.
I knew the scales were a BAD idea. Seems I have put 4lbs on since sat am. Surely not? I was in cals all last week, only going over sat and sun- bit should have had enough exercise cals to cover that. I know it's not right but it still makes me mad.
On a positive note- was still feeling a bit rubbish but went to gym anyway and did a 5k run, spin class and core workout with PT. 767 cals burnt.
I am determined to stay within cals all week, and see where I am on Saturday. But grrrrrrrr
My child- I'm all for a bit of what I fancy - just need to write it down. Good run.
Octopus- tried rocket Parmesan slad today. Was yummy. Good low cal lunch option.
Need to keep positive and focussed this week. Really thought it would be coming off quicker with all the exercise. Pah.

OctopusSting · 14/03/2012 07:21

Ignore those scales Digbert easier said than dine I know. Glad you enjoyed the rocket and Parmesan. A good balsamic vinegar and a sprinkling of salt and pepper will make it fabulous!

-1.5 today Hmm. Back to last Thursday's weigh in which is something......

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 14/03/2012 08:29

Dig Mine have me 1-2lb heavier than last week, but I know it's bollocks. Do you think our scales have got together and decided to horrify us? I'm just ignoring for now, as I know I've been within cals and doing loads of exercise. Are you looking and feeling slimmer? What does the tape measure say?

40 min run completed. Was awful. I woke up knackered, and had to force myself through the run. I just felt really heavy and tired, and it was like that the whole session. Did more walking than running in the end, not because I was out of breath, just exhausted. Next time I might drink some coffee before my run, cos that was really bad.

onanightlikethis · 14/03/2012 08:54

I ran too my child- 10k at 6.30. Did it in 52 mins. Know what you mean about heavy legs. Despite all my exercise last night I had a fab run. Scales say 10.6 go figure!!

OctopusSting · 14/03/2012 11:58

Wow, go girls with your early morning runs. Very impressive as is 52 mins for 10k Smile

2.5k run with weights, 1 hr circuits, 10 mins powerplate/TRX.

OctopusSting · 14/03/2012 18:06

Gah. I am exhausted this evening. Is it bedtime yet? Confused

onanightlikethis · 14/03/2012 18:11

Run with weights- are you mad?? What power plate exercises do you do?

OctopusSting · 14/03/2012 18:17

LOL Digbert, quite possibly! Only 1kg each hand so not pumping iron Grin

On the powerplate i usually do hamstring stretch, calf stretch, quads stretch (these are all fab after running and mean no aches). Then do side leg raises on each side, side stretches, situps, plank and back relaxors. Occasionally do bicep curls and tricep dips but usually do arm stuff on the TRX

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 07:44

-1.75 to 10.0.5

Unlikely to break 10 tomorrow and then I have a weekend away with the girls

Have a horrid sore throat coming on Sad. Desperately gargling tcp!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 15/03/2012 09:07

Bloody hell octopus that's brilliant! Sooooo close! Fingers crossed you can shift 0.75 today to creep under the line.

I am still +1 on last Friday but it is my own fault as have been eating quite a few biscuits Blush so going to try reeeeeally hard today to eat no carbs and see what happens. On the plus side I tried on the size 12 White Stuff dress I got before Christmas and it no longer looks like I have a cushion under it when I sit down so the fat is definitely going off my tummy Grin

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 10:35

Fjorn - I am 1.75 off last Thurs which is great [sm

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 10:37

Fjorn - I am 1.75 off last Thurs which is great Smile

2k run with weights, 1 hr Pilates.

Hurrah for dress fittingFjorn. Let's hope there is some appropriate sunshine at the weekend so you can show it off.

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 10:37

Stoopid phone!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 15/03/2012 13:20

Forecast is for rain on saturday

Hope you have a fab weekend too!

BenderBendingRodriguez · 15/03/2012 14:26

Sounds like everyone is having a good week :)

My week is going okay...with the house-buying we can only really afford for me to do one class a week atm, so I wanted to get a couple of exercise DVD sessions under my belt while DD napped in the afternoons. Of course she has scuppered this Hmm Eating habits are creeping back to badness so I'm trying to crack down. Tuna salad for lunch today and no snacking so far, although that is only to counteract the massive Chinese takeaway we had for tea last night and will be having again later.

Going to book myself another Saturday class tho :)

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 17:04

Umbrella Fjorn?

Bender - very Envy of Chinese. Well done on recognising the decline - tis a good first step to tackling it.

2.5 mile walk in the fog.

I have walked or run at least 2.5 miles every day this week (if my memory serves me correctly Hmm ). Feels good Smile

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 20:41

Yummmmm. Just had ham & cauli cheese.

Fat test tomorrow

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 15/03/2012 20:53

Oh help! I'm in such a munchy mood tonight! I think it's a combination of tiredness and thirst. Will try drinking some water. Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 20:54

What about some yoghurt MyChild?

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 15/03/2012 21:05

I don't have any in the house. Am doing some ironing to distract me.

OctopusSting · 15/03/2012 21:08

And MNetting WinkGrin

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 15/03/2012 21:47

Err, yeah! LOL.

And maybe watching MasterChef at the same time wasn't a good idea Hmm

Off to bed now so I don't bugger up weigh-in tomorrow!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 15/03/2012 22:37

Have given up and am drinking gin Blush
