Another thread!

OP posts:

Very well done shark but I beat you!! -3.5 this week GrinGrinGrin so am down 14.25lb in 8 weeks!

It's not dropped me a dress size though, unless I was in denial about how fat I'd got over Chrismas (this is likely Blush) but maybe half a size. More has come off my face / bust / ribs than belly / hips / arse but hopefully that area will be the next to improve!

digbert I have done nothing different this week apart from not cheating and eating biscuits! There's a lesson for me Hmm Really though I think it is just my stalled loss over the last few weeks finally catching up with itself. I will have to see what next Friday brings... Your running is amazing by the way, well done!

mychild hope your scales have miraculously gone down again today and you don't feel quite so hungry Smile

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 09:31

Fjorn it was me who asked if you'd done anything different this week! Congrats to you and Shark on those bumper losses

+2 on last week! I'm not worried though, cos I've stayed under calories and done my exercise. I know it's not real. Fingers crossed for a good week next week .

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 09:35

Dig I know what you mean about some days running is so much easier than others. Mine was on Monday...I felt fantastic. I don't think today's run is going to be very good because I'm shattered and have period pains. I could use the endorphins though, so am looking forward to it.

What's your running routine?

FjorGynAndHotWater · 02/03/2012 09:50

Oops sorry mychild Blush in my defence have been awake since 5.15am Hmm thanks DS... BTW I wish I had a GBF too! I do have a GDsis but it's not the same.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 10:12

I want one that's fabulous and loves shopping and gossiping and can be a bitch sometimes. (Massive stereotype, but that's what I'd like!)

onanightlikethis · 02/03/2012 10:27

Wow massive losses! Congratulations both of you!
You'll feel better my child if you just do a small run. Re- my running routine- I don't really have one. I try o run 2x week, once treadmill, once outside, although when nights get lighter I'll run outside more. 12k took me just under an hour.
I'm trying to do lots of different things to get fitter, so pinning, running, outdoor cycling and my strength training with PT. Seems to be working.
My GBF is all of those things.... I wish I could have married him..

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 10:45

Pinning sounds interesting, if not a little painful! Grin

Just under an hour for your 12K! That really is incredible (and motivating....will get my butt off this sofa now and go to the gym). My goal for my 10K is 55 minutes, so I'm seriously impressed.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 17:30

Just realised I'm +1 on last week, not +2. I was thinking of the 1lb loss I had seen before TOTM struck, but that was before official weigh day, so no point in counting it.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 02/03/2012 22:29

5km run and 20 min toning session done.

Drank loads of water today for once. Ate some exercise cals, but still had 100 spare.

Off to bed now...shattered again. I feel like life's one big treadmill.

SharkBite · 02/03/2012 22:30

Yes MyChild, you must stick to the rules WinkGrin

My GBF turned up with a bunch of red roses a bunch of white and 2 bottles of vino. He can bitch for the world England, but will always be there for you. I however would never have married him Grin. I have known him for 17 years and was best woman at his wedding Smile

Hurrah for your excellent loss Fjorn and sorry to hear you are +1 Mychild. As you say things will likely all be sorted next week, so keep on going!

I did a slowish 5k run at the gym and then 15 mins TRX/powerplate. Then took DD2 swimming.

Food has been very good and no Wine tonight as Wednesday was my Friday!

Gym & swimming tomorrow Smile

SharkBite · 03/03/2012 07:10

-0.75 Smile

SharkBite · 04/03/2012 08:58

5k run, 10 mins TRX/powerplate, swimming with dd's. Food/drink pretty good.

Out for lunch today and WILL try to swerve chips.....

SharkBite · 04/03/2012 08:59

That exercise was yesterday btw. I have not been up since silly o clock!

BenderBendingRodriguez · 04/03/2012 09:04

Shamefully marking my place Blush It's been so long I don't know who half of you are! I have no excuse but the usual (sleep deprivation, non-napping baby, blah blah blah) so am not even going to explain myself. Just putting myself back on in the hope that I will soon have something to report.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 04/03/2012 12:24

Hi Bender, are you a veteran, then? Smile

BenderBendingRodriguez · 04/03/2012 15:11

muhaha, i'm a veteran of posting good intentions and then slacking off Blush am ante/postnatal pals with most of this lot, but they put me to shame with their dedication.

SharkBite · 04/03/2012 18:27

Welcome back Bender. Stick around lovely Smile

How are you feeling in yourself? Do you want/need to lose any weight or just try and get some exercise/fitter?

Despite a weekend out and lunch in the pub today i have managed to stay within burn yesterday and 1200 cals today. Woo woo!! I even managed to swerve chips today and had steak and mushroom salad with minimal dresssing and no dessert

SharkBite · 04/03/2012 18:28

Pretty sure i am due on soon though as have been in a vair short tempered mood Blush

onanightlikethis · 04/03/2012 19:02

Oh bad weekend here.... Birthday so allowed. But have eaten tons of the wrong food.... Lunch out on sat (goats cheese plus mussels) husband cooked jerk chicken with sticky rice and today I have just polished off a Chinese. And too much wine. Did gym yesterday, spin plus body pump, but nothing else.
This is the first time I have been off the wagon in 6 weeks. Still, I will be back on form tomorrow xx

BenderBendingRodriguez · 04/03/2012 19:27

Hello Shark :) I'm feeling okay in myself, definitely fighting upwards against the old bad habits of thinking. I feel like I'm on that spiral, you know, where you go through the same cycle over and over again but hopefully spend a shorter period in the bad part as you go through the tighter part of the spiral Grin You are probably thinking wtf is she on about, but never mind.

Anyway, I have been swimming today so burned a hundred-odd calories and woohoo! I have found a pilates class that starts late enough for me to get there. Going to try it out tomorrow night hopefully...eek.

I am really trying to be mindful about what I eat. Some days are better than others Hmm as I'm sure you know!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 04/03/2012 19:33

Welcome back bender Grin we are on a bit of a weight-loss roll at the moment so fingers crossed it'll rub off on you. Having a pretty bad weekend though Blush am feeling v premenstrual so hoping that's why...

digbert your birthday scoffage sounds delicious! I am already planning what naughty treats I will be shovelling in for mine Blush

SharkBite · 04/03/2012 19:37

Happy Birthday Digbert. A short vacation from the wagon is of course sanctioned in such important circumstances Grin

Bender - you make perfect sense! Good observation on 'mindful' eating, it definitely works here.

Fjorn, having posted literally an hour ago that I must have PMT, i have just come on soz TMI. Very weird Confused

OctopusSting · 04/03/2012 20:35

Outed myself again Blush, so have another guise

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 04/03/2012 20:54

Happy Birthday Dig! Don't be silly, if you can't relax a little on your birthday, then when can you? Your discipline is so inspiring!

Erm, I'm getting confused with Octopuses popping up and stuff. Is that you Shark? (Continuing the marine theme and all?!)

OctopusSting · 04/03/2012 20:57

Yes it is! You will get used to my bi-monthly name changing Grin
