Another thread!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Sadly I never bake anything other than chocolate cakes/brownies/muffins/buns. That's all the kids ever want. As soon as I suggest anything else it's tears. Diet gone tits up this weekend. Not enough proper food and too much wine and nibbles. Back on it tomorrow x

SharkBite · 26/02/2012 20:37

I have not done too well today due to scrummy food at my friend's house. However i had no crisps/dips, a small piece of cake and only 2 small glasses of wine so could have been much worse.

Digbert, my only other 'baking' is rice krispie cakes - butter, marshmallows & rice krispies. My DC know better than trying to ask for anything else Blush

Mychild - i actually use butter rather than marg in the above recipe, but i'm sure marg works fine!

SharkBite · 27/02/2012 09:07

Evens from Friday. Bit disappointed given yesterday's weight but at least not a gain! Aiming to be v good on food until I can exercise again, but my GBF phoned and is coming to see me Weds (he lives abroad so only see him once a year or so) so there will no doubt be Wine Blush

FjorGynAndHotWater · 27/02/2012 13:22

Must be the Wine shark, I had no wine this weekend (Shock) and am down 1.25lb Grin I did drink a fair bit of gin though...

So, am finally lower than my previous low which was achieved on 4 December 2009 Shock has been a long time coming! Just hope I can keep it off till official weigh-in day. Am lighter than at any time in the last 12 years Grin Still a long way to go though, and by the time I'm done I doubt I will be able to even look at a pot of cottage cheese Grin

onanightlikethis · 27/02/2012 16:28

Well done fjor. I'm eating everything in sight today- bad time of month and am craving BAD food. Argh!

SharkBite · 27/02/2012 16:48

Woo hoo woo!!!!! GrinGrin. Well done you Smile

---- Grin

Digbert - i only know when i am due on as i suddenly develop a sweet tooth whereas normally i don't really eat/want sweet things. If you are having a bad day, enjoy what you are actually eating and don't beat yourself up Smile

I have been very good so far food wise. Thai chicken & mushroom noodle soup for dinner which is pretty low cal and very filling.

onanightlikethis · 27/02/2012 17:30

K and breathe.... Managed to step away from bad food, including kids leftovers, and had something remotely healthy. Mushrooms pan fried in low fat spray with black pepper on weightwtchers toast, with 2 thin sausages, on a bed of mixed leaves and rocket. Yum yum. Only gone 200 over cals. Tomorrow is another day. :)))

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 27/02/2012 22:17

45 min jog on treadmill. Loved it...felt completely euphoric. It's amazing what a couple of proper rest days can do. I've hardly felt hungry today, and after my initial reluctance to get to the gym, once I got into the run I just felt the endorphins trickle through my bloodstream. I was really in the zone. Nice hot shower and bed now. Bliss! Smile

Re: TOTM cravings, it's a scientifically proven phenomenon. Women can need up to an extra 500 cals a day around the time of ovulation

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 07:09

-2.5 Shock

Grin

I suspect some of it is due to no exercise but hey ho. I have no car today or tomorrow so am restarting exercise with walking to and from school - 5 miles if I do each way and don't crack and ask someone for a lift.

Nice exercise mychild

FjorGynAndHotWater · 28/02/2012 07:51

Woooooooo hoooooooo shark Grin so much for not weighing every day... Wink

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 28/02/2012 08:04

Wowsers shark Shock

Btw, when you post your weight, are you taking it from Friday, or from the same time last week?

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 28/02/2012 08:05

Come on, hands up....are we all weighing every day? I know I am.

onanightlikethis · 28/02/2012 08:17

Good morning. Well done shark. I'm weighing every month. I think daily I would lose motivation if I was up one day down the next. I prefer to see a big loss. Better day today- had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast for brekkie and have made a lovely salad for lunch with salmon and strawberries in. I think yesterday half the problem was I was driving around with work so couldn't have a proper lunch. Gym tonight- spin and PT. Feeling better than yesterday already. Have a good day x

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 12:56

MyChild, that loss was from yesterday and Friday as evens over the weekend. I do like the regular weighing as do get gee'd on by losses and see the impact of overeating/drinking. It is tricky when you get to a plateau though.

Digbert - your food sounds delicious Envy. I have had a boiled egg for breakfast and rocket, spinach, parmesan, baby plum tomatoes dressed with balsamic vinegar with a packet of mini cheddars for lunch. Not sure about this evening as DH is away. Maybe jacket spud with prawns.

I managed to walk 2.5 miles this morning and back seems good Smile. I will keep it gentle this week and maybe try a short run on the treadmill on Friday.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 28/02/2012 13:00

I am not weighing once every day, oh no at least twice and sometimes more Blush but I find it gives me motivation to keep going if I can see it's working, and also to be stricter re the odd square of chocolate / spoon of ice cream if it's not. Am down another 1.25lb today so also down 2.5 since Friday Grin

I think some of this may be down to the extra fibre in the few dried apricots I've eaten BlushGrin

FjorGynAndHotWater · 28/02/2012 13:08

Glad your back is feeling better shark Smile

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 17:41

Well done on the loss Fjorn. Lovely to see us all heading in the right direction for now Grin

On todays weigh in, i have lost 9.25lb since post xmas/new year (6 Jan) which is just over 7 weeks. I am really happy with this as i have been continuing to socialise and not being completely diet 'obsessed'

However, my GBF is arriving tomorrow and i have a girls lunch on Thurs and away at a friends at the weekend. Oh dear BlushGrin

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 17:42

Oh, and walked another 1.25 miles this afternoon and will do at least 2.5 miles in the morning.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 28/02/2012 18:03

It's amazing isn't it, I have lost 13.25lb since 6 January!!!!!

Hope you have a lovely time over the next few days shark you slinky thing Grin

onanightlikethis · 28/02/2012 19:54

That's nearly a stone !! Well done. I'm grumpy tonight as I was late o the gym and missed spin, couldn't get my groove together for a run- at least PT was ok. I think I'm hormonal and tired. Hurumph.

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 21:10

Well done on the PT session Digbert. That is still a full exersazz so no worries re spin/run. Sometimes your body tells you when to have a little break Smile

Fjorny - a stone by Friday? That would be fabuloustastic Grin

Struggling now as i had dinner early tonight as i know i shouldn't eat so late. Now i'm hungry Hmm. Had yoghurt for pud and a cuppa but still have itchy fingers wanting to pick at anything something.

I am watching The Biggest Loser, so maybe that will help keep me on the straight and narrow.....

SharkBite · 28/02/2012 21:55

Ha ha ha ha. Bloody numpty.

I have been back to check my food today and realised when i input my dinner recipe previously i had made a double quantity. So when i logged it tonight (based on having 1/4 of it) i recorded double what i should have done!

So, i am actually 18 calories under target, despite a sneaky gin this evening which i am sipping to stop me picking!

SharkBite · 29/02/2012 07:48

-1.25 to 10.3 WTAF?!?

Grin
MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 29/02/2012 07:58

Shark WTAF indeed! Shock

40 min run done. Was at gym for 6.30am

FjorGynAndHotWater · 29/02/2012 09:02

Bloody hell mychild that's dedication! At 6.30am I was just stumbling bleary-eyed out of bed. Yay for a big run first thing!

shark that's amazing Shock and gives you a good cushion for your rest-of-the-week partying Grin

I am still the same as yesterday but would be v v happy to be -2.5 on Friday. Will still try and get rid of that 0.75 to make a round stone loss though Smile
