Well done all Smile

Sneaky weigh shows another 1.25 off this morning Shock as I swerved most of the bread, but my back is agony and pretty sure I will not make the gym/swimming this morning to keep the momentum going

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 25/02/2012 09:21

Oh no, Shark! You'd better book in at the doctor's. I know they can't really do anything for back pain, but you might be able to get referral for physio or something. Another 1.25 off...if memory serves correctly does that mean you're down 2lb?

FjorGynAndHotWater · 25/02/2012 09:43

Wooo hoo for more loss shark but bugger re your back Sad. I have tried to find the stretching exercises my work physio sent when I did my back in last month but they must still be on my work computer. Not back in till Wednesday so no good to you, soz. Hope lots of baths and ibuprofen do the trick.

I am down 0.25 on yesterday! Managed to completely swerve biscuits etc at work so only naughty things yesterday were oven chips and gin Grin

SharkBite · 25/02/2012 10:08

I am MyChild, but i can't count a Sat weigh in as it will undoubtedly be reversed by Mon

We are taking the girls swimming and have the creche booked so i am going to try a little walking/cycling/stretching to try and realign things and then have a relax in the sauna/jacuzzi.

Fjorn, i hear the gin & chip diet has a strong following and good results Grin

Digbert - will pm you re VA location

onanightlikethis · 25/02/2012 12:39

Oh shark- back pain sucks. Hope u relax in the sauna and it helps. Good job on the weight loss though. Well done fjor. Mm gin :)
Back from gym- spin plus 6k run. Feel great as it was a really easy run. Hoping that triathlon wont be too bad if i can do that already.
700cals burnt. back to gym for swimming with the kids .

SharkBite · 25/02/2012 14:04

Excellent exersazzing there digbert Smile. The triathlon will be a breeze i'm sure.

I went to the gym, walked 1k and then tried to cycle which was impossible. Did some stretching which was good and then lay in the sauna. Whilst DH threw the kids around the pool supervised, i did some water walking. The nice hot shower was lovely and i am now back home with the second ice pack of the day.

Luckily overnight didn't seize it up, so hopefully a couple of days with rest, heat/cold and gentle stretching will sort it.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 25/02/2012 19:50

Ouchy, Shark I really think you should have a few days off exercise.

Digi you're amazing...I wouldn't contemplate any further exercise after a spin session, never mind a 6km run! Shock

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 25/02/2012 19:56

Why are weekends so difficult? I've had pizza and garlic bread tonight with the kids. I'm only 90 calories over calories for the day, and have not eaten all my exercise calories for the week, so it's theoretically allowed, but it feels kinda dangerous.

Boys also had some ChokaBlok Golddigger ice cream. Looked gorgeous.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 25/02/2012 20:07

Those evil children are just buggers for temptation mychild We have made pizzas from scratch today so think I did pretty well to only have two small slices...

On the plus side I have got my jeans on today (usually wear tights or leggings) and they are really baggy. Look foul but I am v chuffed Grin

SharkBite · 25/02/2012 20:39

Mychild there will be no exercise until Tues at least. The walking did help keep it moving this morning as sitting still is the worst for it Sad

I have had cold baked beans and gin for dinner Blush

SharkBite · 25/02/2012 20:40

LOL at foul jeans Fjorny. When did you last wear them?

FjorGynAndHotWater · 25/02/2012 20:42

Were you too weak to even walk to the microwave???? Baked beans are not that nice warm but cold

Have not worn jeans since before Christmas, don't have the footwear to go with them!

SharkBite · 25/02/2012 20:45

Cold baked beans direct from the tin with a teaspoon are the BEST. Luckily the DD's had half a tin with their tea. Which was fortuitous GrinWink

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 25/02/2012 23:23

Mmm, yeah....cold baked beans straight from the tin! I could eat that now. Tummy rumbling, but shall go to bed because it would be ridiculous to eat at 11.30pm when I'm already over cals for the day.

Night, HotMamas.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 25/02/2012 23:24

This is why one shouldn't waste calories on pizza!

onanightlikethis · 26/02/2012 08:29

COld beans...urgh on every level. Lol at your jeans fjorn.I had wine last night using my exercise cals. Nearly 2/3 bottle... Eek that ice cream sounds lovely mychild. Who makes it?
Lying in bed thinking about cycling to watch boys play rugby- it's about 25k away so should really. Weather is kind too..coffee first.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 26/02/2012 09:21

dig ChokaBlok

Can't believe you're contemplating that on a Sunday morning after 2/3 of a bottle of wine! Do you mind me asking your age?

SharkBite · 26/02/2012 11:36

LOL, that's what i thought Myhild Grin

I am having to be extra good with food/drink with no realistic exercise on the horizon for a while Sad. I do have to say though i am not actually hungry, so clearly the continued hard exercise does have a big impact on appetite

On the upside, was another 0.5 off this morning Shock. I think the last couple of days have been because i have been eating tea much earlier (normally eat around 8 or 8.30) and been going to bed early due to my back. Also it is making me feel a bit queasy so less desire to eat i think Hmm

Off to a friends for lunch today Smile. I have made a lemon drizzle cake to take along, but will only have a small snifter.

onanightlikethis · 26/02/2012 12:49

I'm back! 35k cycle done. 20k took 48 mins-so not much really. Then watched rugby and cycled a further 15k home. Burnt 600 cals.
My child I will be 39 on Saturday.
Oh shark I feel for you with your bad back. Lemon drizzle is my fave. I'm doing gammon and macaroni cheese for tea om nom.
Didn't feel too bad considering wine last night- but I was in bed at 9.:))

SharkBite · 26/02/2012 15:49

Yay, i'm 39 too!

73 was a good year Grin

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 26/02/2012 16:33

Ok, dig I'm starting to dislike you now! Grin Seriously, you've roused me into action. Was going to have another rest day today, but I'm going to do a 30 min Rosemary Conley vid once the monsters kids are in bed.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 26/02/2012 16:35

Shark have you got a recipe for that cake? (Is that allowed on this thread?!Blush)

onanightlikethis · 26/02/2012 17:20

Way to go my child! Dh just opened wine....
Shark there must be something about approaching 40....

SharkBite · 26/02/2012 19:00

Lemon Drizzle

4oz soft marg
6oz S R flour
6oz caster sugar
4 tbsp milk
Juice of one lemon
Grated rind of one lemon
2 eggs
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 150c and grase/line a 2lb loaf tin

Put marg, flour, caster sugar, milk, rind, juice, salt and eggs all in large bowl and beat with a mixer.

Place mixture in tin.

Bake for 55 mins, middle shelf. Take cake out of the oven and stab all over with skewer or fork and pour juice of one lemon over the cake and sprinkle liberally with caster sugar.

Leave in the tin until cold.

*please note i am the worlds worst baker but this is pretty failsafe, even in my book Grin

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 26/02/2012 20:28

Sounds yummy! Will have to try that out with the kids one weekend. Smile

I wimped out...no exercise tonight.Too shattered! Blush
