sallyanne hello.we are on similar quests...I'm on day 5 pp attack and looking for similar weight loss as you so your previous success is v encouraging.may do one more pp day then veg yippee!
wentworth thanks for recipe.do you think beef mince ok ? Also have some in freezer .

Today's menu;
Vanilla yogx2
Galette with smoked mackerel pâté on it
Chicken breast in f frais with loads basil ripped in it

I have been converted to using herbs a lot....make everything so much nicer.

Think will do pp mon, wed, fri, then pv tue, thurs, sat ,sun.

Don't want to sound like alcoholic but have read whole book and see no mention of when we can have a drink.someone give me hope ,

Weigh in tomorrow.

Dastardly27 · 12/01/2012 20:00

Sallyanne - I eat bacon too. No fat on it. I read the last thread on Dukan from mumsnet. Was either last year or the year before and there was a woman on that who did very few PV days and she lost weight quickly. After eating my pan of homemade chicken curry today, I am quite happy not to have any veggies tomorrow! Was stuffed.

drywhite - think we might be officially allowed to have one of you in consolidation. Should pop over to the other sofa and get my book.

Dastardly27 · 12/01/2012 20:04

Celebration meals in consolidation allow alcohol but doesn't say how much. Probably one glass SO just have to find one of those glasses that holds a bottle of wine!haha

Dastardly27 · 12/01/2012 20:06

yeah, a glass!

minceorotherwise · 12/01/2012 20:19

Blimey, tried galettes for the first time tonight, they are an art in themselves!!! I've scraped the pan twice and had to start again!!! Getting the hang of it now and have to say it's worth it..it does feel a little like having carbs

drywhiteplease · 12/01/2012 20:23

Hurray! Better get to ideal weight then...

sallyanne06 · 13/01/2012 10:38

Well I just got back from the gym and my weigh in. Lost 3lbs in only 2 days!!...Really pleased. Looks like bacon must be ok to eat. And I have to confess...I DONT take the fat off!..Blush. The fats the best bit Grin.

I don't know what I wighed on day one ..i only weighed myself on day 3 and this is day 5. So I think i prob lost a couple of pounds at least in those first two days. so total weight loss prob about 5-6lbs!

Going for my baked potato today though....hopefully wont do too much damage. (it didnt in the summer)

Alouisee · 13/01/2012 10:51

Would you really rather have a baked potato than some protein & vegetables?

You might be better on Slimming World.

While I'm not the thread police I use this thread for support and ideas on the Dukan Diet and i would rather not hear about constant deliberate deviations. It's hard enough to stick to this way of eating without baked potatoes being lobbed into the thread. I am in no doubt that there will be lapses for all of us, I've got a couple of social occasions coming up but I'm buggered if I'm ruining all my hard work for a lunchtime spud.

sallyanne06 · 13/01/2012 11:45

Sorry..dont mean to offend. Blush Just sharing what worked for me. I think most of bend the rules a little at some times with this diet..I was just sharing my experience. I wont do slimming world because the only way I can lose weight is by cutting out carbs..hence using Dukan. I have bent it slightly to fit in with mu lifestyle. But most days Iam strictly Following dukan.

Snapespeare · 13/01/2012 12:02

I know spuds won't work for me - I don't miss them at all (yet!) I know i can have them back one day, but just now i need to be super-strict because i've noticed a G&T creeping in or a handful of pretzels...

:)

Alouisee · 13/01/2012 12:14

If you're having regular baked potatoes it's not Dukan though, it's not even low carb. What works for one person could be the beginning of a slippery slope for another.

Stay and post Sally but please bear in mind that posting a lapse or a cheat is very different to altering the basic premise of a diet.

minceorotherwise · 13/01/2012 12:44

Mmmmmm, good one- tuna with fromage frais, squeeze of lemon, shallots and coriander
Anyone any other ideas for today's feast ?
I'm on day 5 of attack so may intro the allowed veggies tommorow

WentworthMillerMad · 13/01/2012 13:53

Hi everyone and welcome Sally.
Had a muller lite toffee yogurt covered in oatbran for brekkie.
Chicken curry and salad for lunch.
Asparagus and chicken stir fry for tea

Tomorrow I am having grilled turkey rashers and eggs for breakfast - yum!
Got a horrid chest infection so not doing my walks but will catch up next week!

drywhiteplease · 13/01/2012 15:28

OH MY GOD!!!!!
I have lost 5 1/2 lbs !!!!!!
Can't believe it!guys it bloody works!

On day 6 final day pp.cant wait to have veg tomorrow.

Today
Galette with c cheese for b fast
100g king prawns with lime juice and blk pepper (yum) and vanilla activia for lunch
Massive fresh tuna steak with thai herbs and loads coriander for dinner I think

If that is not enough ,I just read "nothing tastes as good as thin feels".........who said that?this is now my motto.

Herbs are the way to go.

Thanks for support.....come on girls,we can do it!

P.s do "celebration" meals conjure up image of party hats, party blowers and the conga for anyone else or is it just me?!!!!

minceorotherwise · 13/01/2012 16:21

Ooh well done!!!! I'll share a bit of that virtual champagne, if there's any left ?

drywhiteplease · 13/01/2012 16:26

Have finished first virtual bottle in my big glass, now onto second

Would you like some chicken breast with that?!

minceorotherwise · 13/01/2012 16:57

Thanks. Virtual bar of fruit and nut instead???
Ok, let's stick with the chicken...

drywhiteplease · 13/01/2012 17:03

It does taste fowl after a while though !

Sorry sorry but it is Friday ..................any more chicken jokes anyone..........must be the virtual champ talking!

minceorotherwise · 13/01/2012 17:24

...at least the portions aren't poultry

Dastardly27 · 13/01/2012 17:32

wow drywhite - that is brilliant! Kate Moss said that immortal line. Bloody true if you ask me. Have lost about half a stone and liking my flatter tummy already. Well done! I wanted to have a glass of wine today but there was a force field round the wine aisle!!lol No, I didn't even go anywhere near it - as in down it. Just eaten some bland fish and had my SF jelly and yogurt. Quite happy not to have veggies today after my pan of chicken curry yesterday. Think might just go with the flow. Do PP days for as long as I want and then when I crave some veggies then I will have them while remembering the 2/3 protein to 1/3 veg.

Alouisee · 13/01/2012 17:43

Fantastic news, congratulations!

Fridays just aren't Fridays without a glass or two so il join you in a virtual glass.

drywhiteplease · 13/01/2012 17:54

My gin bottle appears to have a force field too......if the force field disappears I will just tell gin to cluck off and stop goading me!!!!
Doubt Kate moss has ever done Dukan.....du coke more like !!!!!

minceorotherwise · 13/01/2012 17:56

I've heard that's very effective too, and way more fun

drywhiteplease · 13/01/2012 18:08

Can't stop snorting those frozen Thai spices from wait rose...divine...btw have decided to marinade my tuna steaks in lime juice with said spices and bake "en papillotte"(that was for dastardly).will let u know how it turns out.

Dastardly27 · 13/01/2012 18:09

I do the 'du coke' one occasionally - but the diet variety!haha Nice one!
