Ohhhh I want to be a different shape for the playground too!!!!!

actually, how I heard about this is when a mum who I hadn't seen in months turned up to help at the school fete to help out and she was like a different person!! She began this diet at the very end of January and by the beginning of June she had lost 4 stone!!!

I haven't got the app or the book, just been googling for info.

bishboschone · 18/07/2012 22:39

I have both but to be honest the app is enough if you have a smart phone . I couldn't get the exact list from googling . Heres to swanning into the playground all skinny Smile

bishboschone · 19/07/2012 07:07

Ooh ,this morning I'm 4 pounds down!! Woohoo

idobelieveinfairies · 19/07/2012 09:48

Yay! Well done!! It's great to see results like that isn't it because you think...hey! This is working....I can do this!!!!

I am 1 1/2lb down today so that is another loss. Though it's coming up to that time of the month again, I always gain a few pounds and get extra hungry then, but it disappears after.

WentworthMillerMad · 19/07/2012 10:08

Hello so glad to see some new faces and the thread is alive again.
I have got used to the 0% yoghurt now but I sometimes add a WW lemon or le at 5g sugar but only one a day.
Just having a skimmed latte.
Left over roast chicken salad for lunch
Stir fry for dinner with fresh ginger and smoked mackerel - no noodles of course!
Next weigh in is sat for me.
Booze free weekends are my killer!

Are you allowed alcohol on cruise ?
Not bothered to be honest but i don't want to one to make a fuss if I'm out . Noone likes a diet bore !

WentworthMillerMad · 19/07/2012 15:20

Sorry bish no booze at all.
I am v bothered by that and do sneak in gin and slimlines. I seem to be able to cope with it but sure it slows down the loss.
Dirt bore is right, hence my posts on here and avoid mentioning in RL!

I haven't told anyone I'm doing it .. I have been trying to lose this weight for a year although ds was prem and v poorly so I sort of have an excuse . ( not ) ... The only problem with no / low carb is I lose my appetite . I wonder if it will slow weight loss down if I don't eat enough. That would be annoying!

WentworthMillerMad · 19/07/2012 19:38

Meant to say diet bore!
I really think if you are eating and full you will shed the pounds.
I am hungry a lot but think its probably greed!

I was going to skip dinner but I had some mackerel and chicken .. Will see what the scales say tomorrow Grin

Wizziee · 20/07/2012 14:23

I haven't posted before but I'm on day 24 and I've lost 18lbs. It almost seems too good to be true especially for a chocolate addict like me ! I had a WW lemon yoghurt for breakfast with 1 TBS oatbran and have just had a salmon salad for lunch (PV day today). I had it with one TBS extra light salad cream which I know is a cheat but has not slowed weight loss for me.

bishboschone · 20/07/2012 14:31

Well done wizzee ... Can I ask if you have much to lose?

WentworthMillerMad · 20/07/2012 15:29

Well done wizz. The problem with Dukan is that's it's from a v French perspective and there are so many products in the uk that you can use that really are ok!
Low fat pate is low carb, the salad cream etc etc.
It's whatever works for you, just not the cake!

Thanks for the messages
I don't mind sharing my shame LOL I started at 12lbs 6 which for my 5 foot 4 petite frame gave a BMI of 30 :-(
My target is 9 stone 6 so a total of 3 stone to lose, 18lbs down. I'm apple shaped and the amazing thing is that all the weight is coming off my middle - I've lost 4 inches off my waist already. Ridiculous but brilliant !

bishboschone · 20/07/2012 17:13

That's great !! I'm hourglass but my waist has got smaller already ! Which doesn't really help as it makes my bum look bigger , hey ho!!

WentworthMillerMad · 20/07/2012 19:02

Wizz that is fab! It is v quick. I lost 7lb in 5 days! Weigh in tomorrow morning for me.
Steaks, mushrooms and salad tonight for us. I have raspberries growing so I plan to have low fat natural yog with a small amount of fresh raspberries instead of a WW . Free as well!

Wizziee · 20/07/2012 19:27

7lbs in 5 days is fantastic, steak for me tonight too :-)

WentworthMillerMad · 21/07/2012 10:41

Weigh in! Am 11lb 4 so that's 10lb off in 2 weeks!
8lb to go but I am now in the weight rane where I look fine - I am 5ft 8 so feeling good.
Will sign in again on Monday as we have a family BBQ today so that's easy for me - meat fish and salad! Will have a g and t as well.
Driving to the north of scotland on Sunday.

bishboschone · 21/07/2012 12:13

Well done . I hope I can do that too! Starting my pv today but I have a BBQ Tom so will stick to meat ( yawn)

bishboschone · 21/07/2012 14:27

How does everyone eat their oat bran ? I have made a few gallettes but I just cannot stomach them . Tried covering in yogurt and sweetner but they are still rank .. What exactly is the purpose of it .?? It's what I used to feed my horse !

idobelieveinfairies · 21/07/2012 21:29

I used oatbran to make porridge this morning, added cinnamon for flavour....but didn't really like the cinnamon. Going to try to make it with skimmed milk instead of water tomorrow to make it more creamy. Was very filling though.

I have only been for a 'number 2' once in the 6 days I have been on this diet....I am usually a once a day girl :/ sorry, I know a bit too tmi....but getting a bit worried (no wind either), has anyone else had this??

also, how do you make an omlette without oil in the pan??

8lbs lost in 5days :)

idobelieveinfairies · 21/07/2012 21:30

Oh and the purpose is to try and stop any constipation I think!

bishboschone · 21/07/2012 21:34

I am normally regular and haven't been much . I googled and it says it's supposed to draw out the calories with it as it passes through .. How do you make the porridge ? It' really is gross
. I think I may just eat it with milk and sweetener every day . However I dress it up it is rank . I'm normally quite tolerant of food but somehow not this !

idobelieveinfairies · 21/07/2012 21:50

Do you usually like porridge? If you do then I think you'll be ok. I love porridge!!

I added 40 grams of the bran to 1/2 pint of water, heated it on the hob until it was boiling then continuously stirred it until the right consistency then added the cinnamon.

I think it will be better with the milk!

thanks for the info on the toilet situation, hopefully it will be ok!!

bishboschone · 21/07/2012 22:34

Ok I can eat porridge with milk and sweetner , not water though . It's like gruel Grin. I'll get some cinnamon and try it thanks .
