oops - meant Envy

WentworthMillerMad · 12/07/2012 18:22

Can't explain my now 8lb loss - I think once I cut the bread and sugar it drops off.
Gardened for 2 hours solid today As a change to my walking.
Making my ratatouille for dinner.

Am making a spinach and chicken curry for tomorrow night - without rice or nan of course!
Have found a 30% reduced fat Somerset Brie in morrisons with a 0g carb content! ! Had that as a snack with a gherkin. Less carbs than a Latte!

Agree frantically the stricter you are the quicker it goes. Am having a PP day today with a small amount of spinach in my curry instead of a spoon yogurt. Less carbs. Am using prawns!

Mackerel pâté for lunch and cottage cheese!
Boiled egg as snack with beef slices and mustard!
Am flying solo all weekend witj 4 DCs as DH away on golf tour, sister has gone away to a party. She is newly single and I am keen to support her.
Wish me luck!

Hello! The wedding dress search went ok. Saw a couple I liked but they were so tiny. I was literally bulging out the back with gaping holes where the zip/buttons should me. Mortifying! Anyway I'm going back in 6-7 weeks once they have the new collection ready so fingers crossed I'll have dropped some of the flab by then!

Day 5 of Attack for me. Tried to weigh myself this morn but the scales are broken. Drats!

Food has been ok today although I have had a few cheats. Maybe that's whats keeping my weight loss low. Hmmm, can I go the whole hog and cut out my cheese snacks? Might give it a go!

Am really really craving a drink tonight so bought one of those mini wine bottles (1 glass). Hoping it won't do too much damage :)

WentworthMillerMad · 13/07/2012 21:41

Hi boo, glad it went well! How exciting for you!
Agree that Dukan is finding what works for you.
My sister leaves on Tuesday and I am then bootcamp although today went well and I have more energy.
Cheats do slow you down but it's a marathon not a sprint and better a glass of vino than whole baguette with butter, box celebrations! Chin up, you have survived 'the dress'!

Evening :)

You and me both Wentworth. DH away on cricket tour, so I'm also flying solo. Though only with my two DDs, not with 4 DCs Shock. What are their ages?! Good for you though... hope your sis has a good break!

I succumbed to a g and t tonight. It's Friday, and I've had a horrible day :( Hope it hasn't done too much damage. After my 'really really strict' declaration yesterday too Blush

My pv menu today...

Yoghurt and bran for brekkie
Low fat ham for snack
Beef and tomatoes for lunch
Chilli beef wrapped in iceberg lettuce leaves
And my g and t :)

WentworthMillerMad · 14/07/2012 16:11

Hello! Kids are 11,9,7 and 4. I couldn't have done this a year ago as my youngest was still so little but am enjoying it! SO much easier than babies / toddlers! We had a picnic in the park today and ran them ragged! Some waitrose ready made Chinese for tea - ribs, rice and satay for them. Steak for me with big salad.
I snacked on smoked salmon and cottage cheese in the park, sticks of cucumber and carrots. Sandwiches for the DCs.

Weighing in at 11lb 6. Know I can see the 10s in 2 weeks if I stick with it. I will!

Hi y'all :)

So am I the only one who is thoroughly cheesed off with this rain?! I can't remember a wetter summer... it's driving me nuts! Still, managed to get out for a couple of hours to the park today - the DDs really needed it.

Wentworth - guess what time my DD was up today? 5am. FGS... only ever happens when DH away Angry!! Glad you're enjoying your 4!

Not a bad food day... Pp today:

Galettes (made sweet with Splenda) with a muller light on them
Peppered mackerel and a small blob of mayo (hopefully not too much of a cheat!)
Meatloaf, gherkins and herb sauce

Now 10lbs down in 8 days :)

WentworthMillerMad · 15/07/2012 09:51

5 am eeek!
Am still on track. Yog natural with oatbran for breakfast.
Eating out tonight so going to google the menu and pick best fit for Pierre Dukan!

OP posts:
Miller1977 · 15/07/2012 16:15

The Galettes are awful! THis diet worked for me. I lost 1.5 stone and got down to the lowest point i have been in 15 years. Feels great!

Boo81 · 15/07/2012 20:23

Evening! Hope you all had a good weekend. First day of PV for me and boy was it good! Had some grilled veg with my meat board in the pub and they tasted divine!

I haven't been ultra strict over the weekend. Been eating slightly fatter meats and having the odd glass of wine, but as I'm hoping to make this diet more of a long term thing I'm happy keep the weight loss slow and steady if it means I stick to it 90% of the time!

Still not bought a new weighing scales so no idea how much weight I've lost. My jeans did feel very comfortable today though. Last time I wore them they were cutting into my belly. Surely that must be a good sign!

Chicken breasts and drumsticks, with roasted peppers in the oven for dinner, mmmmm!!!

WentworthMillerMad · 16/07/2012 11:23

Managed the Italian restaurant! Had Parma ham with artichoke followed by best root and goats cheese salad. Not strictly Dukan but better than 4 cheese pizza and tirimusu!
Bootcamp now til the weekend...........yog hits and bran, tuna salad, roast chicken breast with butternut squash mashed up! Some sort of gravey.

Evening Wentworth :)

I've been going strong too, but sadly my losses have stalled :(. I have STS now for three days. I am trying to stay focused, as I know Dukan says that this can happen hen you come off attack. But I wonder if I'm eating enough? My calorie intake is probably less than 1000 a day. But I'm just not hungry. What do you think? And I definitely need to do my exercising, as I have been slack on this front!! Blush

WentworthMillerMad · 17/07/2012 21:30

I would say you will shed 2 or 3 pounds v soon. Drink more water and keep walking!
I have also stalled but not surprising as I lost 7lb in 3 days!

bishboschone · 17/07/2012 21:36

Hi all , I started yesterday . Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated . I have a stone and a half of baby weight to lose but Dukan says my true weight is 8 stone 6 ... I haven't been that weight for about 2o years . Has anyone got to their true weight?

idobelieveinfairies · 17/07/2012 22:03

Hi aĺl, I am new to the thread!

started the attack phase yesterday, a lot easier than previous diets with regard to hunger pains, and really enjoying the steaks!

couldn't help but weigh myself this morning and I am 3lb down already!! My tummy isn't bloated at all today thanks to the no carbs.

I am living on the loo though with all this water drinking, hoping that will calm down.

going to attempt a omlette tomorrow....don't like eggs usually, so will see how that goes. Can I ask, what do you use instead of oil in the pan?

off to take a look at past posts for some tips ;)

franticallyjugglinglife · 17/07/2012 22:07

Thanks Wentworth... I'll keep on going! I have had a tbsp or 2 of 0% carb mayo, but it's high fat. That won't completely derail will it?!

Welcome bishbosch :) I think your true weight is based on lots of factors like age and how many times you've dieted, and some other stuff I can't quite remember. There are some people further up the thread that have got to their true weight and there's loads of tips too. My true weight is quite high (more than bmi of 25), but I think that's cos I'm old, and have been on a constant diet Grin

bishboschone · 18/07/2012 09:23

I have dieted loads and have a rubbish thyroid . I really hope this works for me . I have tried many diets over the years but managed to maintain a size ten pre my second baby last year . I put on 5 stone ( eek) but have around one stone left to go but more if I get to my true weight .

WentworthMillerMad · 18/07/2012 16:55

Welcome everyone! I would go back and read the whole thread as there are fab ideas on here.
My true weight is 10st 8 I think. I am aiming for 10st 10lb. That means I have 10lb to go! That's not so bad.
Am finding the sugar cravings are not so bad now.
Dinner tonight is roast chicken, carrots, broccoli and runner beans. Very thin gravy.
Just off for my walk now......

idobelieveinfairies · 18/07/2012 18:18

Hi Wentworth....that dinner sounds yummy!!

I'm on 3rd day attack phase and coping! (Though shopping in waitrose on an empty stomach was hard work).

A question for all the duken'ers out there...what yogurts do you have? Searched for fat free, sugar free yogs in 2 more dairy aisles today, and no joy, do they actually. Exist?

so I bought and tried some fage 0% fat Greek style yogurt.....oh my, I don't like it. I tried adding some vanilla essence, but still couldn't eat it. Any suggestions? I have read somewhere that you can add sweetners? Does anyone do that?

also, am I right in thinking that fat removed bacon is ok on the attack phase?

lost another 2lb when I weighed in this morning. 5lb in 2 days is very encouraging ;)

bishboschone · 18/07/2012 19:18

I'm on day three of attack too !! I haven't lost 5 pounds though. Have you got lots to lose? I have got Greek zero fat yogurts and activia zero fat but I think you can have two a day of . I have stuck to it 100 % and have lost 2 pounds Sad

bishboschone · 18/07/2012 19:19

Are you eating the oat bran? I'm not sure hat the point of it is but I'm eating it ( it's rank !!!!)

idobelieveinfairies · 18/07/2012 19:40

Yeah, I have quite a bit to lose, all the babies have ruined my body, but they are worth it :)

usually the heavier you are the more you lose at the beginning I think.

will be nice to have someone at the same stage as me, I'm going to stay on attack phase for the 10 days. Though I need to do the website thingy to see what they recommend.

the biggest difference in this diet for me, is that I don't feel hungry...I hope it continues!!

I'm really fussy with food :/

yesterday I had an activia vanilla fat free yogurt, tea with skimmed milk. Then pack m&s pre-cooked chicken and water for lunch. Pack of ham at 3 (my worst time) and the a sirloin steak for dinner with a diet Pepsi. I had half a pint of skimmed milk too.

tomorrow I will attempt an omlette and cinnamon porridge with the oatbran I bought today ;)

bishboschone · 18/07/2012 19:45

Today I ate 2 eggs and a yogurt for breakfast . Mackerel for lunch and salmon for dinner . Diet Pepsi and tonnes of water . I had the bran in a Greek yogurt with sweetener ( was shite lol) . I have Low carved before and I always lose my appetite . Mainly because I hate eggs and not tht keen on meat but I have been trying for a year to lose weight unsuccessfully so I'm giving this a bash . Have you for the app? I plan to swan back into the playground in septemwbrr a size ten and it says I will be 9 stone ( size ten for me ) if I do it by the 16 th of sept ember.... It's seems too easy !!!
