I'm afraid I have been less than virtuous today. Starting again tomorrow with a slightly heavy heart re. my failings (although attempting to convince myself that it was my birthday after all) Wink

Off to bed v shortly, going to attempt to get up and Shred tomorrow morning before my toddlers wake up. If I achieve that, I will be feeling VERY proud of myself!

ladymuckbeth · 26/06/2012 10:26

Bleugh, 3.5 pounds up today - no surprise there. Why oh why do I do it?? :(

Must stay on track today, although now looking after one sick toddler and waiting for shopping to be delivered so I've got something to eat other than eggs!

foad - hope the scales were kinder today.

foad · 26/06/2012 20:30

Scales not changed here Hmm. Have had rather difficult day, spent morning waiting for daughter who was at her new school in local town. Went to Asda cafe and there was nothing I could eat. Had packet of bbq chicken for lunch in carpark. Then went straight to sports day where I couldn't eat fruit or crisps. Came home, out on ballet run, back the out on music run taking a packet of ham with me. Came home and had ham omlette. Now i can see why I used to eat so much chocolate!

Hope your sickly toddler is better - you'd have to be a brave woman to face eggs after clearing up puke...

Here's hoping tomorrow brings a huge loss on the scales and a craving for protein!

ladymuckbeth · 27/06/2012 10:55

Sounds like you did well to keep on track. I had an okay day yesterday but scales only registering very slight fall after my two-day-indulgence-fest had caused a big gain previously.

DD hadn't vomited; she just has a coughy coldy thing and has now completely lost her voice. Relative silence!

I'm doing okay today but still failing to get my exercise mojo back. Desperately trying to get into routine of going to bed early but have been up a bit at night with DD and this morning woke inexplicably at 5.30am - despite that still didn't dust off the Jillian Michaels DVD!

0TTers · 02/07/2012 14:09

Hello,

I have read through this thread with interest, and have started on the Attack Phase today.
Already wavering (am soo weak), I've got a headache and would love a KitKat or bread and jam so much...please tell me that this is worth it!

will hold on longer, it must be great to get to the end, slim, eating freely and only dieting one day a week.

Hope we get there!

ladymuckbeth · 03/07/2012 16:40

Hello OTTers :) How did you get on yesterday? I found the first couple of days hard but it DOES work and seeing those numbers shift on the scales really is incentivising.

foad how are you getting on? I've been wavering a bit but back on 'track' today. Have set myself the rather spectacularly arrogant goal of losing 1/2 stone before we go on holiday in two weeks.... Hmm

0TTers · 03/07/2012 17:45

Am sticking there, today was better, no headaches and thank god for Activia yoghurts! I need to finish eating on something sweet.

Have brushed teeth now too to aid the no more eating sensation, don't think that will work til 10pm though Hmm

Are rotisserie chickens ok? The breast meat must be low fat?!

ladymuckbeth are you going somewhere warm and sunny? I am soo in need of some sun!

Curse you British summer >

ladymuckbeth · 04/07/2012 09:51

Yes, but then I never was 100% about sticking to all his rules - eg. he says you can't have pork because it's too fatty Hmm - not necessarily.

We're off to... sunny Cornwall for our hols. The 15 day forecast I've looked at makes it look even colder and wetter down there for when we arrive than it is here in London. Seriously, looked last night and there wasn't ONE yellow graphic on 15 days of forecast - for either London or Cornwall. FFS!!!?? We're off to Crete in September for a two weeker; can't wait for that and hopefully that will provide some guaranteed sun.

This thread is very quiet - much more so than when I Dukanned in 2010. Is no-one else doing it I wonder?

Drywhiteplease · 04/07/2012 22:06

ladymuck Im a lurker.
Don't believe the long term forecast.......I went to Southampton last weekend, long term forecast predicted a total washout which was v bad news as was spending the day in a field......but two days before forecast seemed to change and in the end we had a sunny dry day. Fingers crossed.

foad · 05/07/2012 11:45

Hi, I'm still here!
ladymuck you will def lose 1/2 stone in 2 weeks. I have now been Dukanning for ever for 2 weeks and have lost 8lbs. So it's entirely possible. I have a wedding to go to this weekend so I had the motivation too. Mind you having looked in detail at the invitation and found that there is no parking near the church (in London) and all parking is by prepaid ticket or some such AND the reception is several miles away, I'm rapidly losing the will to go....

OTTers - stick to it - I didn't lose as much as I wanted to in the Attack phase, but here I am a couple of weeks later 8lbs down and with loose trousers! That first week I cooked a whole chicken and then removed all the skin and bones and just kept it in a box in the fridge for when I needed something to eat. I never let myself get hungry. Keep drinking water!

I tried the Dukan chocolate oatbran cookie - it was like sawdust!! Might try the fishcake recipe from earlier in the thread tonight. The frozen herbs from Waitrose are fab too.

franticallyjugglinglife · 08/07/2012 12:04

Hello... Some fab ideas here. New to this - had been doing ww and loads of exercise, but it just wasn't shifting, so I decided to have a go at something different. I'm on day 3 of attack, and have lost 5lbs already!! I have a lot to lose, so on 5 days of attack, then will do pp/pv alternate. Had salmon sushi yesterday with wasabi, pickled ginger and soy. It was delish!

I can't find any mention of soy anywhere - are we allowed it?!

WentworthMillerMad · 09/07/2012 09:20

Hello, can't say how happy I am to see you all! I started the thread way back in November and managed to keep the weight off until I went on holiday for 3 weeks. I arrived back last night and have done my weigh in. I have gained a whole 13lb in 3 weeks! ! ! !
Basically drinking beer in the sun, lounging around, zero exercise, non stop eating!
Back on Dukan BIG STYLE and I really need support.
Just had a skimmed latte, 2 boiled eggs and now off to asda to stock up.
I can do this...........will go back and read whole thread to remind myself, give ideas.

OP posts:
foad · 09/07/2012 09:41

frantically I use the low salt soy...I'm sure i read somewhere that we are allowed it in moderation!

Went to a wedding on Saturday and just ate what was put in front of me - and very nice it was too! Only put on a pound, so I think I got away with it.

Welcome back Wentworth - thanks for starting the thread - lets hope we can keep it active!

Boo81 · 09/07/2012 18:31

Hello! Hope you don't mind if I join in here.

I first did Dukan this time last year and lost about a stone of my baby weight. I lost a bit more after that just eating healthily and limiting my carbs. But since going back to work I've all but stopped exercising and have piled on nearly a stone. I've tinkered with low-carbing over the last few months but I'm an "all or nothing" kinda girl so the strictness of Dukan suits me.

So here I am, back again! Weighed in at 12st 12lbs today and my BMI is 29. That has really scared me as it will only take a few more pounds to push me into the obese category.

Breakfast today was boiled eggs
Lunch was salmon and prawns baked with garlic, lemon juice and chilli flakes. And a muller light
Snacked on a mini babybel and sliced chicken during the day
Dinner will be roast chicken with piri piri seasoning

My overall aim is to get to 11st. I'm getting married next March so that's good motivation! I am going to a friends wedding in 6 weeks and have a mini goal of 12st then.

Looking forward to keeping up to date with how you are all doing!

WentworthMillerMad · 09/07/2012 18:49

Hello boo and foad! I plan to check in often and not bore friends in RL!
Had boiled eggs for breakfast, ham and pickled onion for lunch.
Made a chicken curry for tea with 0% Greek yoghurt. Spicy!
Snacked on WW yog, small cube cheese, slice beef.
Did a 1 hour walk.

Current Weight is 12 st.
AIM is 10st 10 which is a lovely weight for me - still have curves but no jelly belly!

Boo81 · 09/07/2012 19:27

I hate talking about dieting with friends in RL so I'll be venting a lot here too!

WentworthMillerMad · 09/07/2012 19:32

Yes am not going to mention it but maybe the fact that I am not stuffing biscuits into my mouth might give me away!

Ps congratulations drywhite on your weight loss and sticking with it!

foad · 09/07/2012 19:51

2 x venison burgers and cottage cheese for supper. The venison burgers were reduced for quick sale in Waitrose!
Might have to buy some pickled onions to spice things up a bit Grin.

Bog all exercise again Blush. I need a dog.

0TTers · 09/07/2012 20:12

Ooh, this fell off my Threads I'm On. Have just completed day 7 and have lost 8 pounds (if I weigh myself naked in the morning!).

I did cheat last night and have a vodka and soda as was no carbs and did exercise this am so think I got away with it!

Chilli and cauliflower rice for dinner this evening, 'rice' was good, but not really like rice!

Have been motivating myself watching before and afters on You Tube.

Wentworth did you get all the way to stabilisation? And did you stick with the protein Thursdays(until the holiday)?

So pleased to see others Dukan-ing :)

ladymuckbeth · 09/07/2012 20:40

Sorry have been AWOL (in more ways than one Blush) and lost a bit of impetus from my early loss during Attack phase. We're now due to go away on Sunday and I doubt I'll hit my self-imposed target but not doing too badly considering.

I find threads like this so helpful because as mentioned, it's just too dull to talk about with others. I am sick to the back teeth of never feeling like I can invest on any item of clothing because I never feel as though I'm at the weight I want to be at. Just bought a load of sale items so I'd have SOMETHING to wear in the "summer" (using the term loosely hoho) because I threw away all my 'fat' clothes when I Dukanned last time. But here I am again at a size 16 - what a bloody waste of money all this yo-yoing is!

ladymuckbeth · 09/07/2012 20:41

I'd love ideas for motivating btw - what are the before/after vids on Youtube OTTers? And congrats on your 8lb in 7 days!!! Excellent stuff.

Boo81 · 09/07/2012 20:58

OTTers - what is cauliflower rice. I usually eat a lot of rice so would be interested to find something thats similar.

Last time I dukaned I used to make spaghetti from strips of courgette. Worked as treat with bolognaise!

WentworthMillerMad · 09/07/2012 21:49

Oh I am an eternal yo yoer.
I returned to normal eating after cruise and never did PP Thursday's - probably to my downfall.
I had a nasty case of labrynthitis and lost weight so I think that kept weight off for longer. I am going to dust down the book and get head back into it.
It's so easy to grab a crossaint / sandwich etc and I think for me organisation is the key. Plenty of eggs / meats in fridge at all times.
I actually don't mind it when I get in the zone and for me it's the only diet that works. WW doesn't shift it anymore. Age? Am 42

Drywhiteplease · 09/07/2012 22:40

wentworth!!!! Hello again!!!! You have done it before, you can do it again.
I am so grateful that I found this thread....could not have done it without the support . Am dreading holidays.....think they are tricky!

ladymuckbeth · 10/07/2012 05:35

Organisation definitely key. Nice to see this thread busier. :)
