Hi Everyone :) I havetried hard to do it this week but I'm still poorly and have just been picking and consequently haven't lost a thing :( but I am going to go shopping tomorrow and fill my fridge with activia vanilla yoghourt, crab sticks and snacking ham. Also going to make sure I drink the water as that seems to make a difference to me. 3 weeks to my holiday and 6 pounds to go. Big effort!
Keep going everyone !

winkle2 · 16/03/2012 10:58

Pleased to say that I stuck to it yesterday and I'm 2lbs down. Annoyed with myself for not sticking to it previously ? this diet works if you stick with it!

Hope you feel better soon Cornish.

Today's menu

yoghurt
SF jelly

yoghurt with oatbran

cooked chicken

burgers for dinner

isittheweekendyet · 17/03/2012 08:33

Hi...so am 2 weeks in and have lost 8lbs (5lbs attack phase and 3lbs this week) Grin Very happy.

Those that have done Dukan before, is 3lbs a week in Cruise phase about normal?

PV day today but will try and keep it mainly PP as a bit worried about what I'll be eating for the Mother's Day lunch tomorrow. Have got some salmon fillets for me and will be bump it up with plenty of veg....just the pudding I'm concerned about!!

drywhiteplease · 17/03/2012 08:41

I found 2ld a week my average so you're doing well isittheweekendyet

I had a "celebration" meal out last night.disappointed no paper hats, party blowers or streamers (as silly name evokes).... Boy it was good but mixed wine colours and fizz....bad idea all round. Dukan nightmare at pudding........chocolate trifle, lemon posset or cheese ?!!!!!!!

Need a v good day today.

cornishclottedcream · 18/03/2012 18:13

Well done Isit and Winkle. OOOH DryWhite your Dukan nightmare sounds like my heaven....chocolate trifle....
Well I've been good since Friday and have lost one and a half so that is ok. Took my Mum out for lunch today and had Roast Turkey with veggytroubles but no potatoes, so feeling quite virtuous. Also my son bought me a new T-shirt in the size below so felt double good about that.
Sugar free jelly and prawns for tea, but not together :o

drywhiteplease · 18/03/2012 22:22

cornish it was only a nightmare because I loved them all, none was allowed on Dukan nd then which one to choose!!

IWantToGoToThere · 19/03/2012 08:55

Hi all. I had the weekend 'off' as we stayed at the in-laws which means it's just too hard to stick to the plan and I can't get through a whole weekend with them without drinking

I found to my surprise that I couldn't really even eat that much as my stomach just can't take that much food and I felt sick quite quickly as the food was so rich. Nice to enjoy Mother's Day though.

So to compensate, and because I really want to lose 5kg in the next 5 weeks before I go on holiday, this week is back to attack until Sunday. Am hoping this little blip might actually work in my favour and jolt my metabolism or something!

olijackmum · 20/03/2012 11:15

What burgers do you have or do you make your own

winkle2 · 20/03/2012 16:18

olijackmum - I buy the 95% beef ones from waitrose essential range.

I got down to 10st 4.5 on Saturday but have been off plan since then! I blame it being too close to payday and not being able to afford loads of meat! Back on it tomorrow - promise!

IWantToGoToThere · 21/03/2012 11:30

winkle, what is the other 5% in the burgers? I might have to investigate if they look Dukan friendly enough. Last week I went to GBK for lunch and ordered the big giant burger which is 2 patties, but without the bun and had salad instead. It was fantastic!! Really filling and quite oily so they can't be a weekly event, but it was nice to go to a burger place and still be able to stick(ish) to the plan.

I have a work event tonight and then out for dinner with some friends so I foresee some wine and possibly carbohydrates in my near future. But then AF has just shown up when I am desperately trying to get rid of the bitch for 9 months, so I feel like I need something to look forward to!

IWantToGoToThere · 22/03/2012 20:17

Well plans changed at the last minute last night, and instead of going out to Strada where I had my Dukan friendly meal all planned out, we went to the house of one of my friends and one of the girls bought around fish and chips for dinner! Very annoying as I couldn't say no (my friend was unable to leave the house as her 2 year old was sick and very clingy) and the fish and chips weren't very nice at all, so it was a complete waste of a cheat night.

Would dearly love a glass of wine tonight, but am staying strong as have just remembered we are having people around for lunch on Sunday, so no doubt the wine will be flowing then. Anyone else's social life getting in the way?!

drywhiteplease · 22/03/2012 20:46

Yes!
Dukan in January was easy as we did not go out.now it's all starting up and v hard.restaurants are ok but going to friends' for dinner is a nightmare as you have to eat it.alcahol is a prob. Tomorrow I have a girls night out which is great but you can't really not drink with rugby widows can you?

isittheweekendyet · 24/03/2012 13:37

3rd week complete and feeling very de-motivated. Have not lost any weight this week. Been doing alternate PP & PV days but just stayed the same. Have cracked today and had 2 wholemeal egg rolls for lunch with a handful of ds's crips and now feel even worse!!

IWantToGoToThere · 26/03/2012 21:13

weekend I'm having a shocker too. Just found out today that in all likelihood there is going to be an announcement this week about redundancies in my workplace. I was really trying to not cave and keep to my planned dinner of salmon and a diet lemonade, but I'm sitting here with a glass of wine and awaiting a takeaway to be home delivered (prawn chow mein). Gah.

But as my husband said, how many times do you find out you might be losing your job?? At this stage, I'm just hoping the hangover isn't too bad tomorrow...

olijackmum · 27/03/2012 09:41

isittheweekendyet - its my 3rd week as well and I havnt lost any this week so I am a bit fed up and trying not to give in I just keep thinking maybe cos I last 1/2 stone in two weeks its giving me a week off and may lose some next week . Must admit I did have 3 custard creams last night cos I was fed up but I am back on to it now

olijackmum · 27/03/2012 09:44

I have made porridge out of the oatbran for breakfast which tasted better than it looked

ham and very low fat cottage cheese for lunch
0% fat vanilla yoghurt

lean healthy eating bacon omelette for tea

if anyone can see on that if I am doing something wrong I would appreciate it . I am on cruise stage

drywhiteplease · 27/03/2012 22:32

EVERYONE don't give up don't give up don't give up don't give up don't give up!

Weight does get stuck from time to time but if you stick with it it will continue to drop.

olijackmum cruise is ok because tomorrow you can have veg!

Remember Kate moss immortal words " nothing tastes as good as thin feels" and believe me it's true!

olijackmum · 28/03/2012 16:05

drywhiteplease - Yeah I have enjoyed my veg today I have had yoghurt with oat bran for breakfast

then home made ratatouille for lunch

then for tea is chicken with a mixture of roasted veg

yum yum

drywhiteplease · 28/03/2012 16:34
