Hello to you all :) well I've lasted a week and am so pleased to say that I've lost 5.5 pounds. I'm going to stick with it, even though I know I've consumed more yoghourt this week than the whole of last year!
Well done I said that is a brilliant effort.
As for going out . . . I will confess to going to Frankie and Benny's last night, but I did have a steak and House salad and gave my chips to my son who eats absolutely anything and still looks like he needs a good meal. When desserts were ordered I had another Diet Coke and watched with Envy however this morning the scales paid me back for being good.
I find weekends tough so will have to be really strong.
Stay strong my lovely Dukaners :o

eleanorsmum · 02/03/2012 18:36

Am off out tonight to friends. Having Chinese. Arg! What do I eat? Just the beef out if a stir fry thing?
Am doing ok since tues have lost 6lb which is mainly water I know but good thing is not hungry! Going to introduce veg this weekend as going away with hubby! But keep thinking I'll fall off the plan! Need lots of meal ideas I can do for us all but exclude carbs on my plate. Might need a recipe swap thread!
So Chinese ideas for tonight and general tips for being away! Tia.

cornishclottedcream · 02/03/2012 18:58

Well done for 6lb eleanorsmum I think if it were me I would have either a prawn or beef chop suey which is just stir fried veg and accept that you might stay the same tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend away and have lots of lovely, romantic walks with your hubby.
I plan to do a kind of cottage pie thing for my family tomorrow night with the leanest mince I can find, dry fried with some leeks and chopped tomatoes, some herbs and a stock cube etc topped with mashed swede and turnip mixed with a little quark or from frais. Can't see why it would break the PV rules but if it does I would be grateful if you would let me know :)

drywhiteplease · 02/03/2012 19:31

Chicken and veg curry here tonight!

winkle2 · 03/03/2012 16:37

It totm and I've gained 3lbs from bloating!!

Menu for yesterday was yogurt, sugar free jelly, wagamama soup without the noodles and a ham and red onion omelette - PV DAY

Today's menu: egg and bacon with the fat cut off, yoghurt, burger for lunch, prob tandoori chicken for dinner - PP DAY

drywhiteplease · 03/03/2012 16:57

I'm finding it hard to shift last 4lb.

Does anyone know if there is a daily limit to how many seafood/crab sticks we can have ?

Views on Marmite? Tastes salty but when I look at ingredients it is just yeast extract.

winkle2 · 03/03/2012 18:35

PP soup recipe

Brown chopped chicken, garlic and a small onion in non stick pan
Add chicken stock, half teaspoon each of mixed herbs, mustard, paprika, all spice, bay leaf.
Simmer till cooked.

drywhiteplease · 04/03/2012 09:07

winkle I'm going to make that soup!

Last night was School quiz ( whoop whoop) with fish and chip supper and bring your own nibbles, pud, booze. Hmmmm .i brought brownies and a bottle of white and diet coke.
Here's how I managed......drank white wine only!!!!! (nibbled a few bits if pepper and cucumber and picked off batter and had a bit of fish!)and we won! And I did not have carbs....apart from wine but hey ho!

winkle2 · 04/03/2012 11:50

It's hard to stick to it when out!

I'm out this eve for an engagement do with Indian food arrrggghhhh

drywhiteplease · 04/03/2012 13:03

Yes ahhhhhhh winkle but lucky you !

cornishclottedcream · 04/03/2012 21:40

Evening Everyone :) wine and Indian food sounds so good Envy but I will confess to having leek and potato soup when out today... it was the only healthy thing on the menu...honestlyWink Never mind tomorrow is a new week.
The soup sounds delicious. Don't think marmite is limited at all. It does taste salty though.
Anyway it is late and I've got a date with a last minute half pint of water.

skandi1 · 04/03/2012 23:27

Hi.
Can I join?
Have 2.8stone to lose Blush
I started my attack phase today and so far looks like this:
Breakfast: 5slices of ham with a little mustard. Coffee with skim milk and 1/4 teaspoon of sweetener.
Lunch: pack of pre cooked chicken slices.
Dinner: two cod fillets flavoured with lemon grass cooked en papillotte. Small bowl of 0% fromage frais with half a teaspoon of cocoa powder and half teaspoon of sweetener.
Had 2l of water plus the coffee a cup of tea w skim milk and one glass of orangina light.

Fingers crossed I can stick to this.

Until after my first baby I had never needed a diet in my life as i was slim but now (after dc2) I am fat. Really fat. Found out this week that I weigh more than DH and just seen the Christmas photos of me from PILs and I am ashamed. Sad

swooosh · 05/03/2012 11:30

Hello! I'm starting again today! Done Dukan last summer to go from 65kg to 57kg. That took me 3 weeks. Did mostly protein days. I've also done the odd 3 day protein day stints here and there before big nights out Grin

I weighed myself this morning and I'm back up to 62.2kg. I just want a nice flat stomach and to get rid of some of my back fat and that fat under your boobs Grin I have a 2 week holiday in Spain this August where I'll also be bridesmaid for a wedding so want to be bikini ready.

Will also be doing the 30 day shred nearer the time.

I find drinking enough water the biggest problem for me. I just don't feel that thirsty often and have to literally down pints of it. So if anyone has any tips then that would be great!

MerlinFromCamelot · 05/03/2012 13:32

Starting to struggle now, so far lost just over a stone. I'm not craving carbs as such but I'm just getting bored with the diet. Also my weight loss has slowed down. One more stone to go... at this rate it is going to take forever... Never mind, tomorrow will be a better day.. I hope.

winkle2 · 05/03/2012 13:50

I hear you about the boredness! Can you find new recipes on the net?

MerlinFromCamelot · 05/03/2012 16:03

Trouble is that if it is not a low protein high carb dish I don't think I can be bothered to make it. I have a Dukan recipe book at home, never made any of the dishes. Think I'm just going to have to pick myself up and carry on.

winkle2 · 05/03/2012 16:51

Try my soup a few posts above.

Tandoori powder mixed with natural yoghurt is a dukan friendly marinade for prawns/fish/chicken.

Are u looking for pp recipes or pv?

drywhiteplease · 05/03/2012 21:28

The soup is fab!

Try yogurt, mint ,garlic, lemon juice as dressing (bit anti social).

Agree about bore factor.just keep bingeing on crab sticks!

winkle2 · 05/03/2012 23:16

Glad you like the soup :)

I've had 24 hours of being naughty! Last nights party kinda carried on into today.....

PP day tomorrow!!

MerlinFromCamelot · 06/03/2012 13:36

Just munched my way through a packet of crab sticks. PP today and PV tomorrow.

It is also that time of the month and all I want is a Galaxy bar. Have gone as far as sniff one....

winkle2 · 06/03/2012 15:05

ham omelette

yoghurt and oatbran

beefburgers for dinner

cornishclottedcream · 06/03/2012 18:32

Pleased to say that I've lost another 2.5 pounds so 8 in total which for me is totally amazing. My husband said to me this morning "you've lost your side abs" which was a boost as he has always said he loves me fat or thin:o
I am getting a bit bored too but made myself some quiche which was yummy- I used a muffin tin and lined each hole with 2 slices of lean packet ham. Mixed together some quark, cottage cheese, onion and couple off eggs and filled up the holes. Cooked for about 20 mins. Even my children liked them. On a PV day I'm going to add some some chopped peppers and some raw diced courgette and lay a slice of tomato on the top. Yummy :)

winkle2 · 07/03/2012 14:03

Well done cornish

cornishclottedcream · 07/03/2012 19:06

Keep going drywhite :) Chilli sound lovely winkle. I quite like it on lettuce. Sounds weird but actually tastes nice lol.
Feeling very under the weather and nearly succumbed to a digestive but the thought of having to go through this again put me off.
Keep strong my lovely Dukaners
