Weighed myself this morning and have lost 2 pounds in 2 days :) so Im going to keep going, although the amount of fluid caught me out today and I had to dash off to the loo more times than I thought. My colleagues looked at me like I was mad :o but I decided not to tell them as I know they would just say Cornish is on another diet.
How is everyone else doing?

MadameBoolala · 27/02/2012 18:21

1/2 way through book. Where does everyone get their oat bran from?

Cornish you are getting me all excited!

drywhiteplease · 27/02/2012 19:58

Holland and barrettt

cornishclottedcream · 27/02/2012 20:10

Managed to get mine in Sainsburys, on the cereals aisle.

winkle2 · 27/02/2012 20:37

Hi I started today. Are you allowed to eat tesco finest steak burgers on the attack phase?

drywhiteplease · 27/02/2012 20:55

Check ingredients.if it is 100% beef then yet,but if they have added stuff to bulk up (cards)then no.
Good luck

winkle2 · 27/02/2012 21:53

They were 90% beef... I won't eat them again then, thanks.

I think I brought the wrong yoghurt too, I brought the Yeo Valley fat free vanilla. Shall I let OH eat this and buy myself something else? We have activia's in the fridge 9not fat free) I take it I cant have these?

drywhiteplease · 27/02/2012 22:49

I am addicted to activia vanilla fat free.
With yogurts I think the rule is min 2% fat but fat free best, your yeo valley ones will be ok if they are fat free.also no yogurts with fruit bits in them (shame).
The dairy at I buy is activia vanilla fat free,as low fat as poss cottage cheese, from age frais and natural yog,the total Greek yogurt is thicker and completely fat free.
Someone said to mix Splenda and cinnamon in nat yog......I love that ,
Also sugar free jelly mixed with nat yog or f frais is really nice.
And the weirdest thing of all that will make you think I am mad is marmite and f frais.......can't live without a bit of marmite from time to time!!!!!

SheKnittedHimAJumper · 27/02/2012 23:12

I started today and had the 0% total Greek Yoghurt and, I loved it. Also had two eggs scrambled. Drank 2 litres of water and loads of green tea. Im terrified that I am going to slip over into Atkins and mess it all up.

Im craving a vodka and slimline, would it be really wrong on attack days Ive had a hard day at work?

pluckingupcourage · 28/02/2012 03:03

I just started today - I also hope that I won't slip into atkins. I am trying to lose weight to resolve issues with PCOS. My symptoms are worsening.

drywhiteplease · 28/02/2012 07:15

An early poster had the occasional g+t and still lost weight.i think spirits are better than wine.look at my name....think I didn't slip occasionally?!!

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 11:04

It says you can have fruit favoured yoghurt on the website - what does that mean: fruit flavoured?

SheKnittedHimAJumper · 28/02/2012 11:08

I have fibroids and I have found whenever I low carb they are much better. I think its the wheat. I have done the Atkins with good results in the past but, I realise its not good for my cholesterol. Its day two today and Im going to have a muller lite for breakfast and loads of black coffee. I have salmon for later. I also have a packet of bacon and that will have to be put in the freezer!

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 11:24

I didnt know we could have mullerlights?!

I had bacon this morning but I cut the fat off.

SheKnittedHimAJumper · 28/02/2012 11:25

It says in the book you can have fat free flavoured yoghurts, just not the ones with fruit in. Thats how I read it and, Im sticking to it!

drywhiteplease · 28/02/2012 15:58

I think you can get fat free lemon flavoured...but I've never tried them

Have you all tried making the galette? I love them and eat one every day....topped with cottage cheese, chicken and yogurt, my smoked salmon "pâté" or smoked mackerel "pâté".

MerlinFromCamelot · 28/02/2012 15:59

I wonder if Mr Dukan has shares in Fat Free Greek Yogurt. This seems to be a hit with most Dukaners.

Also good with grated cucumber, bung it in a clean tea towel to squeeze some of the liquid out and mix it in the Greek Yogurt together with a pressed clove of garlic and season with salt and pepper. If you have mint in the garden, could also add a bit to this to make a Tzatziki like dip. Nice with something grilled.

When not on a diet I drizzle with Olive oil and serve with some warmed ciabatta, olives... and a nice glass of vino. Will have to do without for now.

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 16:11

Wanted to share a new find with you - M&S do 4 slices of lush roast beef for £1. Not a bad snack.

On day 2 of Attack and looking forward to being able to have some veg tomorrow!

I was 10st 11 when I started yesterday, today I'm 10st. How much do you think I can lose in 3 weeks? I have a dress I need to fit in to for a wedding.

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 16:24

i mean today I'm 10st 8! wish i was 10st!

drywhiteplease · 28/02/2012 17:13

I think he says 2-3 lb a week

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 17:39

low 10s would be good :) Thanks for replying :)

cornishclottedcream · 28/02/2012 18:46

Evening everyone :) thank you Winkle for the m&s snack. Weighed again this morning and have lost 3.3 pounds in 3 days, so feeling good about that but I am so tired, I just want to crawl into bed. Is anyone else suffering the same or had this problem?
So looking forward to Thursday which will be my 5 days of attack over and I can have some veg. Never has the thought of a piece of cauli or cabbage been so good:o
Hope you all have a grand day tomorrow,:)

winkle2 · 28/02/2012 20:04

Why is drinking not allowed on this diet?

SheKnittedHimAJumper · 28/02/2012 20:07

I ask myself that everynight Smile

eleanorsmum · 28/02/2012 20:22
