Oh ladies, I am finding this diet so hard today. Feel like I am having too much yoghurt and sweetener (in coffees, galette, 0%yoghurts etc). We went to a food court with the kids for dinner and I had a mexican salad which was a taco shell (I didn't eat the shell) with chilli beef, lot's of lettuce, tomatoes, onions but then a little bit of guacamole, sour cream & grated cheddar. Now I'm having a gls of red wine so a flop of a day but could be worse. From tomorrow I'm doing pp & veg, so oatbran porridge for brekkie, some sort of protein & salad for lunch, similar for dinner, with just a couple of yoghurts. I might do it for a few days, all strictly Dukan but will feel more like 'normal eating'.

drywhiteplease · 21/01/2012 21:44

Roquefort !!!!!!oooooh enjoy my fav cheese !!!!!!!

drywhiteplease · 21/01/2012 21:49

molly I am with you.......weight still stuck. I make galette without yog, just egg and bran and works really well.
Had big test this eve in cinema watching war horse.....I bought kids some pop corn and then my dh came in after parking car with loads more....salted...my fav! So hard,I did not dare as I know ' once you pop you can't stop' but heck it was tough.

Mollyfloss · 21/01/2012 23:11

Well done for resisting dry white!

I am having a major craving for sweet stuff these last couple of days even though I don't usually have a sweet tooth. I am also sick of 'sweetener' tasting stuff but want the REAL thing. I would just die for a big piece of cake. Om the TCI just heard a mention white velvet cake. I have never even tasted that (although know red velvet is delicious) and now it has me watering at the mouth. Seriously bizarre for me, normally I would crave a whopper or chips or something super savoury.... I just want to raid the fridge right now (luckily there's nothing too tempting in it). Shouldn't have had that gls of wine. Wine always males me crave bad food... Blush

Mollyfloss · 21/01/2012 23:13

Right well will just have another yoghurt then before bed. Yay. not....

drywhiteplease · 22/01/2012 08:42

Off to strictly live with daughter .have bag chopped cucumber, celery, chicken breasts and never go anywhere without crab bloody sticks in hand bag!!!!!!!!how SAD am I? Still by end feb should give those dancers a go in the body stakes....ha ha!!!!

Mollyfloss · 22/01/2012 10:32

Have fun drywhite! Right it's a new day and yesterdays litte cheats didn't cause any weight gain so here I go again... :)

dandelionss · 22/01/2012 10:39

I have never had a crab stick. What are they like?

Dastardly27 · 22/01/2012 18:29

drywhite - funny you should say you're getting new ones as I had a 'I don't think the scales are working' today. Said I had lost again and hubby had gained. Do any of you think like that, that you can't really have lost (nearly a stone) so the scales must be playing up?

alouisee - well done on your loss and hope you enjoyed your treat.
dandlionss - can't really describe the taste of crab sticks. They fill a hole when you want something now!
Getting fed up of the taste in my mouth. Got gum, haven't chewed on it as much this weekend.

drywhiteplease · 22/01/2012 21:50

dandilionss crab sticks are wierd.sweet kind of taste like white crab meat.consistency of boiled egg white.compulsive though...may not buy more as can eat 7/8 in one go. Fill a gap though.

Alouisee · 23/01/2012 09:00

Morning - I havn't looked at the scales this morning. I don't want to start the week badly :o. Back on the wagon today, currently having a long walk with the dog then back for egg white & oat bran galette.

I might weigh tomorrow, if I'm feeling strong, I will be doing 2 days of pp to try and undo the damage of the weekend.

IWantToGoToThere · 23/01/2012 09:10

Morning. I did a full week of attack last week and yesterday I had lost 1.8kg. Got on the scales hoping to lost at least 200g to make it a nice round 2kg loss, and GAINED 200g. Can't believe it. How can I GAIN on attack???

But my clothes are feeling a tiny bit looser so I guess it's working. Perhaps I need to not weigh myself as I have really taken a bit of a knock this morning. Still, at least I've got a salad to look forward to for lunch today :( .

Alouisee · 23/01/2012 10:10

Scales are evil! Clothes are a much better gauge. Congratulations on your loss and enjoy your salad.

Weight loss isn't linear, if you start to track it you'll see very clearly that you can muddle along at X weight then it drops dramatically then you might gain a tiny bit, have a period of stability then another fall. Around ovulation and your period you can gain or stay the same then have another fall.

drywhiteplease · 23/01/2012 13:16

Wise words alouisee which is why I love this thread.my weight has not changed for five days despite new scales!
Dr D says this does happen, and I do agree though that cruise phase is harder than attack.

P.s after seeing all those strictly dancers I have realized that the key to slimness is not Dukan but getting completely tangoed....or am I kidding myself?!!!!

dandelionss · 23/01/2012 19:33

Iwantto - I stayed the same between about the 3rd and 6th days of attack and then have had big losses since.

dandelionss · 23/01/2012 19:34

sorry pressed 'go' too soon.Hang in there , if you have been following the diet you must have been losing fat, it will just be camouflaged by water retention of muscle gain.

IWantToGoToThere · 23/01/2012 20:08

Thanks ladies. Am trying to be philisophical about it but my weight is awfully high and I was looking forward to Attack to get the numbers down quickly. I am feeling a bit bloated today, so maybe that's it.

Hope everyone else is going well

Mollyfloss · 23/01/2012 22:22

Hello! Staying on pp & veg here for a few days. Pure PP was just too hard and I didn't want to go completely off the rails and start scoffing everything in site so being on pp & veg has sort of stabilised me. Am I still a Dukanite?

Today I had oatbran porridge, 1 activia 0% for brekkie, chicken and lettuce with the caeser dressing (I was out and starving and it was the closest Dukan thing I could find! and I just couldn't eat it with no dressing). For dinner I had steak and ratatouille.

Does anyone else feel really weird not eating fruit? I'm looking forward to my cheat meal on Wednesday but will still try to be reasonably good (no starchy carbs or dessert) to compensate for my recent little cheats.

drywhiteplease · 23/01/2012 22:27

molly I miss oranges !sf orange jelly almost as good, thanks dastardly for the jelly tip.

drywhiteplease · 24/01/2012 12:56

My god......salad never tasted so good! Pv for me today.hurray!!!!

drywhiteplease · 24/01/2012 19:52

Where are you all? Have over done the pv today.if I see another meatball I think I will be sick! Can't even face a sf jelly !

IWantToGoToThere · 24/01/2012 21:21

I made Thai salmon fishcakes last night and finished off the last two today, together with some lean beef and mustard (bizarre combo but it needed eating today!). It's a PP day for me today.

For PP days, I'm just eating the same as I was doing on attack as I'm not sure what else I'm allowed?

Drywhite, did you make beef meatballs? I made some turkey ones on the weekend which were really tasty but I can see myself overdosing on them so I need some new recipes!

drywhiteplease · 24/01/2012 21:42

I mixed beef and turkey...wierd combo but trying to lighten up on the beef (I've been eating a lot recently).added cumin, garlic,Tom paste and Dijon ( which I have with everything) a and p.
Pp days are the same as attack I thought.
Can I have Thai fish cake recipe?

Can someone explain "ketosis" to me ? How do you know when you are in it ?

Mollyfloss · 24/01/2012 22:16

This thread has gone quite quiet. Does that mean that others have given up the diet? There's some statistic about giving up new years resolutions before the end of Jan...

Anyway this is probably TMI but I' going to let you know anyway :) I went for a colonic this morning and a 'LOT' came out and was a bit uncomfortable which the therapist said was built up in there because of the Dukan diet iyswim... she is not a fan at all of the Dukan diet (an tbh she is prob right that all that protein is prob not that good for you, too acidic etc) and has a lot of people coming in for colonics who are on the dukan. I think if just for a while to shed the pounds it works then it's fine but a colonic or two is a really good idea to get things 'moving along'. I felt great after - as light as a feather! So sorry if tmi just thought the info might be useful. :)

drywhiteplease · 24/01/2012 22:22

Shock.....Blush......Grin........you are a brave woman ! I am still on diet!
