Oh damn ! Went in to town to get 'problem' remedy fron holland and barrett and got completely side tracked by lovely handbag! Still could be worse eh?
Ratatouille and steak for dinner. Yippee!!!
wentworth you have done so well.love comment about Dukan being brutal(it is) are we hard core diet club then?

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 15:01

Drywhite : you'll get there in no time. I think we are a bit hard core and it's a good thing! (so love noone saying on here that it is too severe etc.)

Alouisee : Well done! I got the egg carton whites too. So convenient and good for DH too as he has high cholesterol. Love the tips too.

Reciousdaisybear: Welcome and well done on shifting the first 6lbs. You'll find lot's of support here. I really love this thread because unlike people in RL who, when you're feeling weak, will encourage you to eat whatever it is is tempting you, here we'll do our best to stop you! I think if you can do a few more days of pp then go for it.

So far I ate today (pp & veg day)
WW 0% lemon yoghurt
Scrambled eggs, smoked salom & salad
Roast chicken, leeks & carrotts
Cucumber snack.
I plan to have brown stew with carrotts for dinner.

I weighed myself tomorrow and am down 2 more lbs so lost the lb I put on, plus another 1 lb although this was bfore b'fast and after feeding baby.

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 15:02

I meant I weighed myself 'this morning'!

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 15:28

molly thanks.with 10lb to loose you will be there soon surely.everyone is loosing weight.....it's amazing.

daisybear welcome to the slimming thread where cabbage is considered a treat!

Ooooh must be time for a vanilla activia surely ?!

Must get egg white...have splenda

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 15:31

Dry white, according to ths morning's scales I only have 5 to lose but I was at my very lightest weighing myself so could be 7. It's these final ones that are the hardest to shift. I've have to be VERY disciplined!

Dastardly27 · 17/01/2012 17:30

Evening! Bless me Dukan for I have sinned. Had wine and a crisp sandwich last night. Back eating the cows today though. Wouldn't mind but looked better than for a long time today too. Ah well. Had spag bol last night without the spag. Bagged the rest of it up and is in the freezer now. Did some walking today and will be walking tomorrow morning too. I will be also boasting that I have lost 26lbs in the near future. Two weeks into this I am still determined, despite last night, and can still visualise myself in my nice clothes.

Alouisee · 17/01/2012 18:41

Pp days are fine for breakfast and lunch but at dinner time I'd really like a nice salad to have with my crab.

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 20:08

Ratatouille with my steak was unbelievable. Agree about pp days though. Tomorrow will be pp for me .made a load more meatballs but overlooked and now solid/ cannon balls.one will fill you up for 3 days and chewing must use up at least 50 !!!
dastardly lol ! Hope it was baguette!!!!!!!!
alouisee your link about planned cheats was v heartening in view of up and coming dinners.quite funny really! Kind of preparing to be v naughty!

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 20:10

Ps how do vegetarians do this diet? I know they practically don't exist in France but eggs and cottage cheese only.....impossible!

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 20:45

Didn't bother with the stew so just had dry fried chicken with a bit of everything I found in the fridge, carrotts, courgettes, onions, mushrooms and threw in the thai herbs and some yoghurt - wasn't bad and filled me up. Now having some fromage frais. PP day tomorrow - not too excited about it but watching the Golden globes and seeing all those skinny celebs is motivating me. They all look ridiculously fab. They must all have had botox though. Helen Mirren looks way too good to be true!

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 20:58

They have prob been on pp for 3 weeks before! Angelina J defo looks like She is v constipated ! Poor brad better take cover!

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 21:20
Smile
Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 21:34

:) Angie's hair and make-up s way too severe. Am dreading a pp day tomorrow but must do it. Just really want the veg! Any nice pp ideas? Thinking smoked slamon, scrambled eggs, gallette (made with egg white), brown stew (no carrotts), maybe a salmon fillet too...

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 21:44

Lots of red lipstick I noticed!jessica alba my best dressed...oops going off subject !

Pp for me too.well I have some cooked chicken breast, some king prawns ( need to get crab sticks) and about 53 tiny, dried out meatballs........yum yum.! Need to make a sauce.could kill a grape or 20 right now!

Alouisee · 17/01/2012 21:46

Salmon fillet is nice with a dollop of yogurt on the side that has had a small guerkin chopped and stirred into it. A good seasoning gives the top of the fillet a nice crunch.

Preciousdaisybear · 17/01/2012 21:48

Argh must stop watching Masterchef, sheer torture. Note to self - cancel subscription to Delicious magazine. No food porn for me for a while. Had steak for dinner with french mustard whilst ds1 has chicken korma. Held on to my sanity by thinking of being able to get my smaller clothes out of the loft.

Anyway off to have a yog with some aspartame to sweeten. What yogs do you girls eat as I have only had Total 0% so far and 'tis a wee bittie dull. Oh and is fat free jelly/no added sugar jelly allowed do you know? Here's to the scales tomorrow morning !

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 21:59

I'm starting to think that Dukan has the PP days just so we think veg are a treat.. I'm so desperate for variety on pp days that I would literally kill for a piece of cucumber!

Drywhite: Agree on Jessica Alba's dress but what's that shiny stuff on her body? It's a bit OTT but maybe I l do with a bit for my hol at beg of Feb. Kate Beckinsale's dress was very nice too.

Mollyfloss · 17/01/2012 22:01

Preciousdaisy: I'm wondering teh same about sugar free jelly. I have the weight watchers one. Does anyone know if it is allowed?

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 22:19

Think either dastardly or alouisee rather addicted to sf jelly/ yog combo.

molly not sure what she had on her body but a few yrs ago I read about and bought Nivea body satin sheen moisturiser which gave your skin a kind of sheer almost pearly dewy finish...lovely with a tan (sadly never natural for me).......

Alouisee · 18/01/2012 07:51

Not me, I don't have sf jelly and I'm giving up vanilla activia too, the scales havn't moved since I started on them.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that sweeteners don't agree with me.

IWantToGoToThere · 18/01/2012 08:07

Morning all. I posted yesterday but I have no idea where my message went so I'll try again.

Thanks to everyone who is posting about their amazing losses as it's really keeping me motivated. I got on the scales yesterday after day 1 and today after day 2 and I've only lost 600g (1.3lb)!! I was really expecting a much bigger loss - I know it would all have been water, but still! So I'm kind of disappointed but I'm hanging in there in the hopes that some bigger numbers will come up later. I know that 1.3lb in 2 days isn't bad going, but having read the Dukan book, I was really expecting a big loss after such a radical change to my diet.

My motivation tip is to get a diary and record your actual weight for that day. Then decide how much you want to lose each week (for me it's 1kg or 2.2lb) and write that target weight in on each of the following weeks so you can see how much you could weigh if you kept going. I have done this for the next 16 weeks through to May when we go on holiday and I can see that if I keep motivated and keep going, I can be 16kg or 2.5 stone lighter by then!. Then I'll record my actual weight each week against the target weight to see how I'm doing and remind me to keep motivated and disciplined.

Will be starting the Shred exercise video when my cold is better. Dreading it, but I know I need to step up the exercise. I work full time and have a 2 year old, so no chance to get to the gym anymore. What is everyone else doing for exercise?

drywhiteplease · 18/01/2012 08:45

iwantto don't be disheartened.your weight loss is normal after 2 days. If you stick religiously to pp you will loose at least 5lb in 5/6 days.what Dukan says is true.it is amazing.
I have set loose targets but the only thing is, I think you might get disheartened again if you don't achieve then by the set date.on this diet you will loose weight without a doubt but some weeks more than others (and some days too....i appear to have put on half a pound today after me ratatouille fest...but my official weigh in is friday so i am sure it will all even out)and to be honest if you are sticking to it them it's not as if you can eat less to accelerate the weight loss.hope that makes sense.

Re exercise.working full time is hard.i am sure the fact that when you are not working you are running around with a 2yr old and that is exercise! I work p/t so am getting to gym 4 times a wk with an occasional look at rowing machine in garage (currently gathering dust!). I have been trying to walk to wk...not convenient for most though. Use stairs instead of lift.I am a fair weather walker I must admit.!I have heard shred is amazing / brutal/ defo for hard core dieters like us! Also think Gillian has an amazing body which is motivation in itself.

Sorry for ramble.better walk to work.....but oh dear. Rain and not enough time now.....might just take the car.......oops!

dandelionss · 18/01/2012 09:33

Disappointing weigh in this morning.yesterday was day 3 0f attack and I am 6 stone overweight so the weight should be flying off.My Dukan chart thing said 10 lbs in 5 days of attack. But hadn't lost anything since yesterday morning.my scales weigh to 0.2 of a lb -but hadn't even lost that!
I followed it rigorously and did 30 minutes of (very) brisk walking and the 4 Dukan exercises ,but I probably didn't have enough water.
i know logically I must have taken in fewer calories than I burned up, it's just disappointing not to see it on the scales Sad
