minceorotherwise · 16/01/2012 18:20

Ha ! Good work
Just thinking up recipes...missing my mash...so, any Dukan reason I couldn't make...
Lean minced beef cooked with beef stock, mushrooms, carrots beans etc. the mashed carrot and swede with fromage frais on top
Dukan shepherds pie or not allowed ???

Dastardly27 · 16/01/2012 18:24

mashed cauliflower on top and did read about people using butternut squash as mash.

minceorotherwise · 16/01/2012 18:57

Ooh lovely! Do you know, it's not that bad once you get onto cruise is it? Just about being strict and having the time to cook properly. And my jeans fit....

drywhiteplease · 16/01/2012 19:10

I assume slimline tonic ok?had one neat (and on the rocks!)and pretended it had gin in...kind of worked.just pushed the boat out and had 2activia vanilla in a row!blimey I know how to live!

minceorotherwise · 16/01/2012 19:19

Think all slimline sugar free drinks are good to go. Blimey, a double activa !!!

WentworthMillerMad · 16/01/2012 20:25

Lost my way this weekend but back on track. Had a chicken with low fat cheese and wrapped in Parma ham for tea. Then a frozen toffee muller lite, was yum.
I also had some m and s sugar free boiled sweets during my lunch hour as was craving sugar like a banshee. I am so close to goal now - only 6lb to go. I must keep on this thread and stay on track. It's the weekend that is harder but I will keep going!

So ends day 2 of attack.
I feel like I have eaten too much to day but have stuck to it rigidly
Breakfasy: poched egg + grilled turkey bacon
Lunch : pot of cottage cheese( big 300g) and vanilla yog
snack: oatbran porridge
tea : sirloin steak

Mollyfloss · 16/01/2012 20:56

Hello! I'm back on track today. Here's what I ate:
B'fast: 2 WW 0% yoghurts (vanilla & toffee) & porridge (2 tbsps of oatbran & skimmed milk)
Lunch: 2 scrambled eggs, extra lean ham & turkey
4pm: Chicken pieces dry fried in ras-el-hanout spices and yoghurt & chives sauce on side. WW 0% vanilla yoghurt
Dinner: Roast chicken, 1 WW 0% toffee yoghurt
Lot's of coffee with skimmed milk & sweetener.

Veg tomorrow, yippee! I'm going to try to alternate one day pp & one day pp + veg.

drywhiteplease · 16/01/2012 21:17

wentworth was wondering where you had got to.how much have you lost so far?must be great to be nearly there.

Today I had a protein day:
B=galette with cottage cheese
L= roast turkey breast with low fat Greek yog and Dijon sauce
D= salmon fillet,cold meat balls,2 vanilla activia

Veg tomorrow

Mollyfloss · 16/01/2012 21:47

drywhite: you are doing really well. have you been on Dukan 7 days now and not a single cheat?

Alouisee · 16/01/2012 21:52

Day 13 here, scrambled egg for breakfast - slices of roast beef for a very late lunch with several about ten crabsticks - Dinner was steak and asparagus, mushrooms, green beans and spinach. Didn't manage the oat bran today.

Back to pp tomorrow.

drywhiteplease · 16/01/2012 22:01

thanks molly I have done 9 days and hand on heart no cheats! Gin and wine have been hard to give up and the crunchy peanut butter calls to me from the cupboard.to be honest it has been easy so far because my dh is on a diet too so we are supporting each other and I haven't had any social functions yet.the bad time for me is starting at the end of the month when we have the first of many dinners...I have always adored good food and wine and I know my friends will push me to "not be boring". That will be the difficult time.I will need help and tips then on how to survive a boozy dinner on Dukan.

Mollyfloss · 16/01/2012 22:27

Well done. If you can keep going like that until the end of the month you'll deserve a nice meal or two but you probably won't be too tempted to go overboard so as not to undo all your hardwork. How many lbs have you left to lose?

I am going to try to be a perfect dukanite until the 25th when I have a dinner. I need short term goals. 7lbs to go. These are going to be the toughest...

drywhiteplease · 16/01/2012 22:31

10 to go.eek!!!

Alouisee · 17/01/2012 07:37

2 week weigh in today. Scales havn't moved since last Thursday so
I'm 10lb down in 2 weeks. I'm in my smaller jeans and I don't need big baggy tops with them anymore :)

The first cheat will happen Saturday evening, I'm having a dinner party so alcohol will be consumed as well as using and cheese. Just need to make sure that I do 2 pp days on Monday and Tuesday to get back on track.

minceorotherwise · 17/01/2012 07:53

Morning! Well I just read the rules again and realised I have to do pp and pv alternate days ! Double DOH! No wonder I thought it was looking like a breeze! So back on pp today, too worried about the big c to go near the eggs though!!!
Going to try fish instead of meat and see if that helps. Alouisee, you are doing so well, I think you deserve a bit of cheese and wine !!!

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 08:31

Wowalthat is fantastic !
Day 10 and I think I will treat myself to some spinach after my psycho Zumba teacher has whipped my behind into gear this morning.

Alouisee · 17/01/2012 09:15

Highly recommend the carton egg whites I've been using, makes a galette so much easier and as egg white is unlimited it means you can have an actual egg later on in the day. Poached over a piece of haddock is my favourite.

drywhiteplease · 17/01/2012 10:53

Where do you get it?is it dried ?

Alouisee · 17/01/2012 10:55

Its a carton from the chiller aisle ln the supermarket called Two Chicks. I'll link later when I'm not on mobile.

Preciousdaisybear · 17/01/2012 11:25

Hi there, can I join you? I finally decided it was time to lose the baby weight btw 'baby' is now 20 months... and after seeing various diets in a mag decided that dukan could work for me. Well I have bought the book and the recipe book, some oat bran and I have been on the pp attack for 6 days. So far scales have dropped 6lbs which is fab. I know the book says average pp is 5 days but so thrilled with weight loss (and coping without veg so far) so tempted to take it further. I have about 3st to lose in total. Thoughts? Should I go for the 10 days? Confused

WentworthMillerMad · 17/01/2012 11:26

Hi everyone - I am so glad this thread has picked up, I think Dukan is one of the least popular threads as so brutal!
Have lost 26lb in total - have about 7lb to go to get to my true weight. The Dukan weight slightly on the heavy side.
Am 5 ft 8 and now weigh 10st 10lb
My ideal would be 10.0.
Am being brutal this week due to my weekend wobble. Allowing myself wine on sat night only. That's the only cheat. The problem is that I start to sneak sugar in and this does not work for me. I am so determine to weigh 10 stones for my holiday in Greece this summer........am 2 stones lighter than last year today and hope to be 10lb lighter!
Love your ideas, keeping me going!

day 3 of attack-Several people say they have had constipation, but I have had the opposite problem! Anyone else ?i suppose it is the shock to the guts of eating so differently?
Well done Wentworth 26 lbs is fab! How long since you started.I think planned ahead 'cheats' are not really cheats you haven't crumbled i the face of temptation.there are times when you can't Dukan and being able to work around this is a sign you rae re-educating yourself.
Alouise- I got some of the 2 eggs stuff from sainsbury's to try some meringue with sweetener.Don't think i cooked them long enough-they were like sweet yorkshire puddings!
