The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here is the book on AMAZON which is all you need to get started!

My book has arrived!!! I like that it has pictures, is in colour and has bits to fill in. There seems to be a 90 day bit at the back. I can be skinny in 9 days right? I'm all motivated to go and read it but I have an 8 week old who has just fallen asleep and sleep is calling...

I'm still losing weight (about a pound or two a week) simply from breastfeeding but I so have the munchies and I'm eating too much cake and not getting the energy to cook. I have no self control..

No, Paul McKenna went out the window at conception, although I never really started it TBH. Are you doing it?

BUT, I have managed to only put on 4lbs since the start of the pregnancy and am 6 1/2 months now, so will be back after I drop :)'

I need to join the struggling corner. I've been stressed and emotional eating. St least now I recognise it is emotional eating. It's stopping that's a problem. Bit sniffly so not well enough to.exercise either.

KinkyDorito · 09/02/2012 07:19

I hope you are okay Phoenix. Sending lots of love.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 09/02/2012 08:41

Ah I cocked up at work and beat myself up about it too much! Nothing too serious.
I gave my copy of the book to a friend. Need to buy a new one. I'm pleased to even recognise emotional eating. I just need to think about not doing it now!
How are things with you kinky?
Good luck starting using. I think you'll find it a really positive approach.

ppeat my parents are at their house just south of Dijon at the moment, it is -6 in the middle of the afternoon!

Phoenix - it is such a massive step to realise that you are eating emotionally rather than because you are actually hungry.
I am slowly finding a few ways that I can stop doing it, mostly around providing myself with some other sensory input. So my patchwork quilt snuggled round myself while I have a cup of tea and cuddle my DCs works well, or going and reading a book. Sometimes just giving myself a bit of a talking to works, but not always!
I actually think it is ok to 'give in' to the eating sometimes as well, but I make sure it is something nice and something that will actually leave me feeling fuller but not stuffed and revolting - because otherwise the loathing comes and then I want to eat more. Provided I then return to the rules, then I will eat less later in the day and/or the next day to compensate because I won't be so hungry.

using I started this when DS2 was about the same age as your baby. You will get it under control, but don't starve yourself. You need energy to look after a little one! :)
