Morning everyone Smile

Hope those in strugglers corner are doing ok, I find that if I want to eat mid afternoon and know its not hunger that having a cup of tea or a hot chocolate really helps not sure if it would help you?

To those doing the shred dair play I have tried it a few times and never got past day 6 as I get fed up of Jillian wittering on Blush
I am currently doing wii fit which I have had for nearly 3 years and never done Blush I love it and do an hour every night except mondays and tuesdays as I am out at the moment but that will stop in the next few weeks so will try and do it every night, I did c25k last year and loved it but when I started putting weight back on through bad eating I dropped the exercise too Sad Dont want to start again yet as I am very self concious how my size at the moment and also its just too damn cold lol so gonna start in march but am doing free jogging on the wii to build up and am currently running about 5.5k in half an hour but running on the spot is not quite the same as proper jogging so doubt I will get that far in that time till I have been running a while!

Sorry for the essay Blush hope everyone has a fab weekend, I love that I dont worry about weekends anymore now that I am pauling as if DH takes us to kfc or we pop to ikea I havent gotta worry about points/syns/calories and can induldge in anything I fancy Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/02/2012 10:57

With you on the meal times Stripy - they aren't a problem. I can't eat until I am stuffed, never could. It is the evenings for me and a little bit late afternoon although I find I can distract myself better then.

DH away this weekend so I am home alone with the boys and I am planning treats in my head about what we can eat because we are all a bit worried and unsettled.Hmm

Talk about emotional eating!Blush

On the plus side, I have just made myself aware of it and it can be avoided.........watch this space. Going to Sainsburys shortly - send me willpower vibes!

stripygiraffe · 04/02/2012 11:34

Day two of shredding done. Slightly easier from an effort point if view but harder because I am so sore.

I'm going to listen to the trance this afternoon as I am going out tonight.

Solo · 04/02/2012 13:29

13st 5 1/2lbs...going down ladies! going down, though not very fast.
Apparently we are getting the snow here in a couple of hours. I hate snow!

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 05/02/2012 09:13

Well done solo, keep going.
I went out for curry last night...I stopped when I was full, didn't have much rice. It was delicious. Guilt free :) I luff Paul!

Solo · 05/02/2012 11:06

I had sausage in batter and chips at my brothers last night and didn't enjoy it one bit; left most of the chips, but was hungry on return to home so ate a couple of biscuits before bed with a hot chocolate.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/02/2012 11:10

Morning everyone Smile

Well done Solo!

I do definitely overeat at the weekends still, although nothing like I used to.

DH has taken ds1 out for a stomp in the snow, so I am tucked up in bed feeding DS2 to sleep for his nap Smile
Going to shred once he is settled.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/02/2012 12:30

Shred done. I think it was a bit easier this time!

KinkyDorito · 05/02/2012 14:13

Weekends are designed for temptation, especially if you have a skinny DH who likes aa cake or six...

How are you getting on BigBoobied? I'm terrible at feeling unsettled by change and eating to calm myself. I hope you have managed to have a nice weekend with your boys, and that your survived the temptations at Sainsbury's. Although, obviously, because its PMK, you can still eat their rather lovely posh donuts. Boston cream... nom nom nom Grin.

Snow makes me worry. If you hadn't all worked it out from my earlier posts, I do tend to stress about everything. So, it snows just in time for me starting back at work. Consequently spent two hours with a shovel clearing the drive with DH and DS. Excellent exercise, and means I can move the car in the morning without having to bump over all the frozen slush. (We live on a busy road where even snow doesn't slow them down, getting off the drive is a joy at the best of times, let alone when the weather is against me).

Back to work tomorrow. I'm a mixture of worried and excited. I'll be so bloody pleased to get out of the house. How successful this will be, I don't know as DD's counts are still low but they've made her restart chemo. I suspect she may get poorly again, but I will hope that she picks up. She's with her grandparents until tomorrow night. She's okay in herself, just has very, very low immunity to illness. School is rife with bugs at the moment. It's another one of these situations where I don't know what to do for the best with regards to sending her, and feel I will be judged whatever I do.

Step away from the biscuits, Kinky. Grin

KinkyDorito · 05/02/2012 14:15

Am Envy of the shredders. Am going to have to get myself in gear and do it again. I know it works. I also know how tough it is to get back into it.

DorisIsWaiting · 05/02/2012 17:02

Hi all,

weigh in day today and lost 1/2 oz so now 13st exactly. So still not in the 12st bracket....Sad still |I went out on friday night and missed a couple of runs so next week should be better.

On the postive front my body shape is changing the 'back fat' is going. which has got to be good !

Hope you've all have a good weekend.

KinkyDorito · 05/02/2012 17:45

I suffer with the back fat too Doris. If this was an ice age, we'd be the survivors Grin.

DorisIsWaiting · 05/02/2012 19:58

it was 1/2 an oz i lost it was 1/2 a pound! still not great but Grin.

My grandad always described our family as 'farming stock' not sure whether the inference was for work or breeding but either way there has always been a 'sturdy' gene!

stripygiraffe · 05/02/2012 21:07

Doris are you me? I am 13st and desperate to get into the 12 st bracket. I also have the back fat thing going on Angry

Still struggling with mindless eating but I think I am doing it less so an improvement. I have just done day 3 of the Shred. Easier already so I can really concentrate on putting in maximum effort rather than just trying not to pass out.

Off to have dinner now. I stopped myself having dinner just because it was dinner time. Hungry now though Wink

I have a memory like hen so find it hard to remember exactly what everyone is up to when I come to post Blush

usingapseudonym · 05/02/2012 23:31

I'm thinking of starting this (just ordered book/cd from amazon).

I'm 2 stone overweight (grrr, I was even more :() and eat for all the wrong reasons. I think my self esteem would be a lot better if I was a more normal size. I've got an 8 week old and so far the Amazing BreastFeeding Effect is helping with weightloss but I'm eating all the wrong things.

Can you all reassure me you've all lost tons of weight, that it works and that I can do it?!

Solo · 06/02/2012 00:18

Usingapseudonym yes it does work :) and it's easy to follow with the cd and book and this support thread.

I lost 2st, lost my way a bit and regained half a stone, then a bit more, but am on my way back down again and only a few lbs off my 2st loss...still have around 19lbs to go. It's a great way of eating and easy to climb back onto the wagon if you've slipped up a bit :) and everyone on here is lovely!
WARNING though! occasionally, we ((hug)), we rarely swear and we sometimes moan! Grin and we are all losing weight! can you put up with all of that?! yes?? then welcome aboard!! but from now on, I'm calling you seu Grin

3ismylot · 06/02/2012 06:23

Morning Ladies Smile

Hope everyone had a good weekend and those who find weekends hard didnt struggle too much x

Welcome usingapseudonym Yes it really does work, it is amazing how free you feel once the guilt of "bad" foods is taken away

Doris well done on the loss, half a pound is great and all in the right direction Grin

Solo amazing hoe our tastes change isnt as I used to love battered sausage and chips but now find them very greasy and like you dont enjoy them anymore, same can be said for crisps and most biscuits lol

Kinkydorito Hope the return to work is ok and that DD is doing ok x

Ali well done on the shredding*

Waves to anyone I have missed Grin

Well its monday which means weigh day (not true to Paul to weigh each week but I find it helps at the moment and will stop if I find it demotivating at any point) and the result this week is -2.5lbs Grin taking me to -22lbs in 5 weeks gotta love Paul!!

usingapseudonym · 06/02/2012 09:09

WOW 3 is my lot - congratulations, that's a fab weight loss.

Ok, I'm inspired. Hope its ok to join you all :) Will come back when the book arrives...

movingonwardsorsidewards · 06/02/2012 09:17

hey everyone, i have just been catching up on the thread. seems like everyone is doing so well.

I havn't listened to the cd for days and as a result i have been eating much more at meal times and snacking all evening Sad also i have not done any exercise including shred from thursday Sad.

I listened to the cd last night and I will start to shred again today. i hope i get into the swing again quickly.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/02/2012 09:17

Morning Smile

Welcome using. Yes this really does work. I've been doing this since DS2 was about 6 weeks old and I've dropped 12lbs and almost 2 dress sizes. Not that much weight over 9 months, but I needed to build up muscle again after 2 pregnancies with SPD and then c-section recovery. The best is that I don't feel deprived - at all. I know I can eat this way forever and that my body will find its natural weight and stay there.

I also have back fat, and am 13st 6lbs. It is just starting to shift.

Have shredded this morning, pushed a lot harder and followed the harder versions on all except the pushups - level 1 still here. DH tells me that my bum is looking perkier Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/02/2012 09:19

Moving don't beat yourself up. The CD is so key to this that in the early weeks it is more important to make time to listen than to fit in tons of exercise I think if you are pushed for time. You will get there Smile

movingonwardsorsidewards · 06/02/2012 09:26

bigboobied - thank you for your help with getting the cd on my iphone.

I have finally manaed to import it to my computer and itunes, but i dont think it is on my iphone yet.

where would i find it on the phone? and is there anything else i need to do other then get it into my itunes?

when i look at itunes i can see it is on there but it doesnt seem to be in the iphone section Hmm Confused

movingonwardsorsidewards · 06/02/2012 09:32

ali - thanks

i have just managed to get the cd on my iphone Smile Smile

also i have not yet purchased the book or cd as i have got them from the library, do you think i really should buy my own? or now that i have it on my phone dont need to Hmm

3ismylot · 06/02/2012 09:45

Well thats the first school run of the day done and have just whipped up a batch of chocolate yogurt fairycakes for the school bake sale tomorrow which I will finish off with melted chocolate and buttons later and I know that I wont have to worry about eating them as if I fancy one I will have one and enjoy it with a lovely mug of steaming hot chocolate Grin

Have also made a massive lasagne to last the next couple of days for dinners and have managed to hide lots of lovely veggies in the sauce so that the kids wont notice Wink

LotsOfGoodFunThatIsFunny · 06/02/2012 10:08

moving if you do buy the book try amazon as u might get a secondhand one really cheap.
