Hedgepig · 08/10/2011 08:20

morning (i think), most of the night has been spent with Ds2 trying to sleep on top of my head bleugh

Before I forget, LilPuska "Get out of London" was Interferon (or so a much older friend told me Grin). You are a bad woman telling me about the speed boat that goes on the back of the camper van, I must not get more stuff to clutter up enhance my house

Ria I'm glad the trip went well, hopefully DHs hrs will get sorted it will probably take a wee while to get thins into a fixed pattern

Slinky 13.5 months sounds like a very short time to me, I have 5yrs and that is ummm interesting!

Diet yesterday went OK, I was mega organised and put a curry in the slow cooker in the morning ::shines halo::, but then I had 2 glasses of wine and stated scoffing biscuits.

Must go and ice cakes for the cake stall at DS1s football match, I must not lick the spoon, I must not lick the spoon, I must not lick the spoon, I must not lick the spoon

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 08/10/2011 08:44

wot do you think of my slightly odd spooky name?

kid · 08/10/2011 09:18

Well done on putting the curry in the slow cooker in the morning but 2 glasses of wine so early in the day? Tut tut Wink
Name is good, better than mine as u' waiting for someone else to come up with a spooky name!

Diet is going well so far today, I've had weetabix. It's all going down hill from here though as I'm off out for the day. We'll see what happens but I'm thinking flexi syns is the way to go today.
It looks freezing out there, think I'll have to wrap up a bit today.

grinningzombee · 08/10/2011 10:02

Morning everyone!

Loving the name Hedge oh, and don't lick the spoon!!

I did get ds to nap in the end, around 2pm, but then it took until 9 to get him to sleep.

Pushka I hava a 2 1/2 year old dd and a 10 month old ds. Tis hard work, especially now ds is very mobile and cruising around the furniture.

I was a bit naughty yesterday and bought a bottle of wine to go with dinner. Still, 13 syns for half a bottle isn't so bad.

Off out shortly, but feel like going back to bed!

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
? (Probably nothing)
Quorn chilli and rice

Has Cheese sneaked off on holiday again?

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/10/2011 10:37

Hello ladies. I joined slimming world this week. Did it 6 years ago and lost over 4 stone iirc, but have had 3 children since then and put almost all back on. Actually have many many many stone to lose in total, but I'm good at not thinking of it like that, and focusing on a little at a time.

Anyway, thought I would join you on this thread. Haven't had chance to read back yet, but will try to get to know you all soon .

My weigh ins are tues evenings, so will try and pm stats for wedns.

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/10/2011 10:45

Oh I should add that the diet is made a bit harder for me by the fact that I can't eat dairy (breastfed ds2 is intolerant and reacts to cows milk protein through my milk), so all of the low fat dairy options are out for me.

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 08/10/2011 12:24

wocha CSWS nice to have you on board, I suppose your DS1 must have just turned 3 (DS2 was 3 last week) did he have a nice B'Day? I wouldn't worry about the dairy part, I hardly eat any (I have to make myself eat a HeA some days) and I have lost 3 stone so far.

Bee I didn't lick the spoon Grin I did however ear several spoons of left over icing Blush, which was, a) far too sweet and b) has given me chronic indigestion, that will teach me to be a pig!!!

LilPushka I have 2 boys DS1 is 8y and Ds2 is 3y, they spend most of there time winding each other up, such joy [weary face]

Food today:
B. Icing Blush followed by Scrambled eggs and bacon and toast (HeB)
L. mug shot & some fruit (not together)
D got to go shopping

kid · 08/10/2011 13:32

I have a 12 yo dd and 9 yo ds. They constantly fight and argue.

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/10/2011 14:21

He's 3 on Monday hedge. Am planning on making a coconut cake which contains courgette instead of fat, but does still have flour and sugar, so will need to be restrained!

Dairy isn't just the HEAs though hedge - it's yogurts and quark and fromage frais in cooking, and is in low fat Mayo but not full fat Angry.

I may try an odd bit and see how he copes Hmm.

QBEE · 08/10/2011 15:53

Eeek! This thread moves fast and I don't have any time to keep up!!

Well done everyone for your losses.
I have had a good couple of weeks and lost 4lbs then 5lbs so have a shiney Grin star week now though so will see how the scales deal with that on Tuesday.
I would like my 2st award by Christmas tbh.

CSWS- the courgette based cake sounds lovely but has set me to thinking about making a chocolate beetroot cake and I just can't afford another blip this week after the thursday night scoffing of the GU pots Blush

b- grapefruit
l- pasta and tuna, sweetcorn, tomato and onion cold salad
d- fluffy eggs, chicken breast and garden salad
s- activia snackpot and canderel tablets(eaten like sweets Blush)

Good luck for the coming weeks all.

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 08/10/2011 21:15

QBEE Ooo Gu pots are delicious, the were on offer in Tesco today, I was so strong not putting them in the trolley Grin

grimRiaper · 08/10/2011 21:38

QBEE and hedge - I LOVE the lemon cheesecake Gu. (had one the other night in fact - half price in Sainsbos or M'sons. Felt that was better than BOGOF in Tesco. Better for SW BTW, not meWink)

have forgotten everything else from last night/today. sorry.

DH cooked breakfast this morning, and DID NOT read my helpful SW meal-plan list I left in the kitchen. It was very nice, but not SW friendly, and so had too many mushrooms, and I felt sick. Bless him. He is most put out as he has been very good, and the Wii weighed him as having a 9lb gain in 2 daysShock

have spent the day painting. Lazy cow. DH got a call tonight to tell him not to go to work as it wasn't busy enough. SO that's saved the petrol costs for tonight at least. Funny how I've hardly acknowledged him as he was here!

pushka, I have 2 DSs, 14 (wants to be a hypnotist), 7 (elf and safety, will be getting a clipboard for xmas) and 4 (used to be known as baggins for his breakfasting habits. The hard man of the family.) They also spend much time winding each other up and causing mini armageddon on a daily basis. Also love playmobil. My friend gave us some as her boys grew out of it, and we have bought bits (new and 2nd hand). We have a huge chest full of it. Liking the sound of the campervan, think we may have a very old one. We have a speedboat. Meerkats for christmas I think.

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/10/2011 00:05

Oh I see you asked about dc pushka. I have 5 yo Dd, 3 on Monday ds1 and 15 month ds2. Quite a handful!

grinningzombee · 09/10/2011 02:58

Welcome CSWS Smile

Talking about GU pots is not fair I could really eat one now. I lurve their chocolate ones...

QBEE well done with those losses, that's fab.

Yep, I'm up with ds again. Think he's trying to do a nappy at the mo, so that'll be nice in a few minutes Hmm.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 09/10/2011 09:52

I'm still here don't worry. Got old uni mares staying so v busy!

grinningzombee · 09/10/2011 10:31

Was that a typo Cheese? Or a freudian slip Wink

Morning everyone!

Just been scrubbing skirting boards and the start of mould off of the bedroom wall. Such a glam Sunday morning.

We ended up having an SW fryup last night for tea as dh didn't fancy the chilli, so we have it tonight instead.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, clementines and a yogurt
Quorn chilli and rice (whether he wants it or not!)

I'm hoping to get half an hour in the bath later... would be nice after all that cleaning!

Happy Sunday

Grin
kid · 09/10/2011 13:20

I've been to the gym this morning for my cardio combat class. I got a bit scared when a new trainer turned up to teach the class (I don't like new instructors I've no experience of!)
Anyway, he turned out to be really, really good even if he did keep a close eye on me making me feel super paranoid Grin

I was meant to be taking DS out to buy some new footie boots but he is behaving so badly. I've told him he isn't getting them now (not today anyway) so he is being even more stroppy. Little git telling me what he is and isn't doing, tell me to shut up and stop talking to him. It would be a big mistake to buy the boots so I'm standing my ground and we're not going. He can sulk as much as he likes, I don't really care.

No idea what to eat today. Seems a bit pointless caring tbh after all I ate last night. I've had weetabix and am just about to eat pasta n'sauce. Will do dinner for later as DH is at work.

I've got pork shoulders defrosting, I assume they are okay?

grimRiaper · 09/10/2011 21:06

all is very quiet on the weight-loss front...

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 09/10/2011 21:10

wocha Ria it's been DS2 B'Day party today, I'm just eatin left over cake and buffet nom nom nom. Back to it tomorrow (I have chocolate buttons too Grin)

grimRiaper · 09/10/2011 21:11

typo on my post last night - I have 3 DS's. Their descriptions remain the sameWink

DS3 is going on a school trip to Morrisons tomorrow! Let's hope he doesn't kick off like he does when I try to take him to TescoHmm

hit the charity shop circuit today, and bought 2 tidy pairs of jeans, and 2 new tops, and a pair of shoes which I didn't need but were only £1! Hopefully I will look a bit tidier and be more comfortable

grimRiaper · 09/10/2011 21:19

Envy of chocolate buttons. I have Gu chocolate pots - 85p in Tesco yellow-sticker section today. Rude not to I felt. Hope your DS enjoyed his party. Am V. tempted by the playmobil campervan (is it the same one in the Boots xmas catalogue?) But I am planning a low budget key christmas this year.

grimRiaper · 09/10/2011 21:23

done the menu plan for tomorrow. wish it was more exciting. am really going to have to embrace the recipe books this week or DH will get tetchy. Maybe DH could read them himself!

kid · 09/10/2011 21:31

I think I've poisoned myself (and dh & ds) by undercooking the pork we had tonight. I feel sick and I'm assuming it's the pork rather than the 2slices of bread with nutella, lots of tsps of nutella and a muller light.
I suppose I'll find out soon enough Grin

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 09/10/2011 21:45

Oh dear Kid I hope it is just a bit of over eating and not food poisoning.

Ria I got it from Amazon here. It is brill but does need a bit of construction before they can play with it, I wish I had know this and made it up before giving it to DS2. Playmobil construction is a bit stressy with a 3yr olds help! I know what you mean about menu planning, DH will cook if I give him the ingredients and tell him what to cook, but it is all the planing which takes up valuable MN time Grin

kid · 09/10/2011 21:58

I think if it was food poisoning, I wouldn't get any symptoms just yet?

DH has agreed to buy me the new iPhone 4s, I'm not sure if I want it now though lol
