Thanks for the slap WWWY just what I needed! Grin

grinningbee · 29/08/2011 09:01

Hello new people

Welcome in Grin. There's only one rule in here really - you weigh yourself once a week, whatever day of the week you pick (lots do on a Wednesday). On a Wednesday you pm the results to Cheese or if she is away whoever is doing it. Then the list is put up on a Wednesday evening so we can see how we've all done. That's it!

There's a recipe thread too, so dive in and have a look and feel free to add any Smile

Kid Hope the holiday was lovely Smile

Weird day here today. Was planning a picnic but the weather is crappy and it's been raining.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a nectarine
Toast or a ham sandwich and fruit
Cannelloni or SW fryup

Ds slept through from 9pm until 7am. Hurrah!!!!

Holiday was great and I'm very pleased that my clothes still fit the same but I haven't weighed myself yet.
We got home late last night and there is no food in the house. Dd popped over the shop this morning and we've had tea and chocolate muffins for breakfast Grin

Will have to go shopping tomorrow and stock up on lots of healthy food.
Off to a BBQ today so will eat whatever is cooked for me today.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 29/08/2011 11:12

Hi lizard welcome welcome!

Am massively hungover, got carried away yesterday.Envy

grinningbee · 29/08/2011 11:35

Hmm I'm missing out here . There, that's better!!

I did the shake thing once. Bleurgh. Mind you, it would be quicker to list what I haven't tried!

Our freezer died yesterday while we were out. Must have gone overnight though as everything was squishy when we noticed Sad. Threw out loads, but have a big pile of Grassmere Farm burgers to cook for dh and have already done the sausages which he and dd ate. Freezer is ok again now, but the socket it was plugged into is dead. I had to throw away a full tub of Ben and Jerry's . Still, that's better for me Wink.

Cheese hope the hangover passes soon. I could send dd over with her annoying musical guitar. I'm sure you'd really appreciate it Grin

thanks for the welcome guys!

And thanks for the explanation of the rules bee
I top shall pick a wed for weighing, makes sense.
Please could someone point me in the direction of the recipe threat please? Always up for new ideas.

I am feeling better. Had a lovely eve out with my school pals last night, a right old girlie catch up. It was fab to be out, shame I had too much wine.

Consolation about the Ben and Jerrys Bee, pants innit.

grinningbee · 29/08/2011 19:44

Sounds lovely Cheese. I miss those girly nights out Sad. Ben and Jerry's was very sad. Totally untouched pot .

Still, at the mo I am feeling a little queasy and need to summon up my appetite for tea in a bit. Ds had a big tea after having a big lunch... (you know where this is going). He was standing up against me, coughed and then chucked. Big time. I got the lot! Mind you, at least none went on the carpet Hmm.

My cannelloni will be lovely I'm sure...

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 29/08/2011 20:30

Yep it was a much needed night out. Feel a bit more like a normal person!

Ah your poor DS, bless him! I've made the aromatic cod from a prev SW mag plus lentil soup for tomorrow's lunch. < polishes halo>
Plan to watch x factor that I missed then BED.

lizardqueenie · 30/08/2011 06:31

Morning all! An early start in the Lizard household today. DH made some recipe with mince last might (still trying to work out hat exactly it was meant to be) anyway, feeling really off today & have come downstairs & seen that he used some combination of sunflower & olive oil to cook
In. Bleeegh. I think once you cut out stuff like that & then you have it suddenly your body pulls this face Confused

So, starting again this morning, will weigh & then I'll be ready for proper wi result next wed.

lizardqueenie · 30/08/2011 06:33

Sorry to hear about your DS bee- he's not been a victim of my DH's cooking too?

And sorry to hear about your ice cream Cheese a very sad tale indeed.

grinningbee · 30/08/2011 07:01

Lizard Totally agree about the oil. I certainly know about it if I've eaten fatty food once I've been off it a while. It tends to go right through me Shock

Sorry you don't feel well.

No, ds was a case of pure overeating, followed by bouncing... never a good combination Grin

We are up early to take dh to work in a mo. Luckily the dc are in a good mood at the moment.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a nectarine
Beans on toast, apple and a yogurt
Leftover cannelloni

Tis my Dod today. I shall weigh in after I get back from taking dh...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/08/2011 08:26

Good luck bee!
lizard I know what you mean, it has that same effect on me.
Had a full nights sleep (well done DD) so am feeling back on form. Am determined to shred today.
My food looks like:
B: fruit and yog
L: tomato, lentil and bacon soup (will post recipe) and hobbit toast (heb)
D: lamb and spinach curry
Snacks: fruit, muller light yogs

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/08/2011 08:27

Oh and I keep forgetting Blush kid glad you had a fab hol. I'm so impressed you are back and already booking gym sesh!

kid · 30/08/2011 08:52

Thanks cheese
I drank so much wine on holiday, every night I had about 6 glasses (spritzers)
I also had upset tummy for about 5 days which probably helped keep weight gain to a minimum.

I'm just about to drag myself out of bed. I did wake up at 6 but refused to get up!
I'm going to have breakfast and tea, stick on some washing and start shred again. Will start back on day 1 level 1 as I've had too long off it. Gym class is tonight at 6:30 and I'll be going on my own as both gym buddies have problems to deal with so I can hardly nag them to go with me!
I will totally be regretting it tomorrow but I'll worry about that then Grin

grinningbee · 30/08/2011 10:02

Good luck for all the exercise today Kid.

I weighed myself this morning and was 2lb heavier than before I went on holiday. I was wearing pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt so maybe i should knock 1/2lb off my gain. I don't think that's so bad, considering the amount of wine I drank and it was all inclusive so as much food as I wanted Grin

I think I have the latest sw mag, it looked familiar when I went shopping just now. Need to check which mags I already have before buying another one.

SlinkyB · 30/08/2011 16:33

Hi all, sorry I've been awol, was away for the weekend. Had a wickedly wonderful whirlwind of a BH, but my diet went completely out of the window.

Was my DoD yesterday, but was away...weighed this morning and I was Shock and not in a good way...would I be allowed to be really cheeky and change my weigh-in day to a Wednesday in the vain bid that I can shift a little pound-age before tomorrow?! Wink

bee sorry about your bfn Sad and as for the Ben & Jerry's, you were good to throw the melted tub out; I'd have drunk it, ha ha!

cheese glad you enjoyed your girlie night, sounds like we all had good Bank Holidays.

kid welcome back from your sunny AI holiday Envy 2lbs is good for two weeks I think?! I've managed to do that in 72hrs!

Welcome to the new newbies, getting very cosy in here now!

Going to try the sweet chilli chicken from the recipe thread later, can't wait.

whatkungfuthat · 30/08/2011 16:34

Sorry to be a latecomer, only just found you. Nothing to report apart from chinese on saturday Blush so just marking

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/08/2011 18:20

Ooh Jared Leto he is lush! Welcome back slinky glad you had good celebrations!
< waves at whatkung>

It's DoD tomorrow, don't forget to PM stats to meSmile

grinningbee · 30/08/2011 19:04

I just had to look up who that was... nice Wink

Slinky I'm sure no-one will mind you changing the day. And if I'd have known, I'd have saved the icecream for you Grin. Hope you enjoy the chicken later - it's a firm favourite over here, especially with a big pile of roasted veggies.

I have the urge to buy new clothes - mine are positively hanging off me now. However, I think I shall have to wait quite a long time (dh). I've not been able to go in a lot of shops for so long now, it's exciting!

OP posts:
SlinkyB · 30/08/2011 20:06

Ha, I had to look up Morten Harket, bee Wink Oh how I used to love My So Called Life when I was a yoof.

Know the feeling re; clothes. I really wanna go autumn/winter shopping but maternity pay (or lack of it from next month) prevents. May have to wait until Jan when I go back to work (sob). Fingers crossed we all win the EuroMillions this weekend eh?! We could all meet in Harvey Nicks and spend big! Grin

This post is completely off-topic, but sod it!

Good luck for DoD tomorrow everyone.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/08/2011 20:11

Gosh, I could have written that post slinky. Fecking hate being on crappy mat pay. Wish we would haurry up and win the lottery. Don't get why it hasn't been our turn yet.
