Well, it was the wittiest name I could come up with. For those returning after lovely holidays Smile

Praying for a lottery win this end too ladies. I've reached the point of zero pay on mat leave. Also praying that I manage to stick to the plan as I almost got my bum stuck in a soft play slide earlier. Blush Will keep that image in my head to keep me going.

grinningbee · 30/08/2011 22:20

Lizard poor you at the soft play. At least it was an almost stuck.

Um, are we meant to stay on topic? Damn, I must have broken the rules loads with my witterings. I can stop if you like? Wink

Re the clothes, and i have to say this fast while dh is in the loo - I have to account for everything, and he has asked for the child benefit money this month plus a bit more as he doesn't want to use what's in the joint account. Nuff said. I am not happy.

Now please post more so this disappears down a bit!

bee wtf? How can he do that? You can't walk around wearing jeans 2 sizes too big. How are things with you both now?

timidviper · 30/08/2011 22:27

Hi all, I've been hibernating for a week or two as my jaw has been playing up and (rather wimpily) I feel really panicky and agitated when I have it which I hate. Anyway I hope it's getting a bit better now as I'm starting to feel more human again.

Sadly i think I've gained back a few pounds as I've only been able to eat soft stuff (can't chew anything) and it's so much easier to eat sweet stuff, white bread, etc than healthy stuff. It's made me realise how much SW works because you're eating fruit and veg, once you cut those out or down it's very hard to feel full and stick to it.

Only a couple of weeks to my holiday so I could have done with losing not gaining and I'm still not fully back to normal but never mind I'm still lighter than when I started.

Hope you are all doing ok.

kid · 30/08/2011 22:47

Can I request a poster of wentworth miller?
Wonder if anyone knows him? Grin

Didn't make it to gym tonight as dh was home late. I waited until the last minute to cancel just incase he arrived home to look after dc but it was 7:40 when he finally got in. Class started at 6:30. Oh well, at least I've unpacked all the holiday things, only because I was home most of the day.

grinningbee · 31/08/2011 07:52

Cheese he asked me for the money when he came home last night. The CB is all I have, and I am trying to save it up. It's annoying as he keeps any cash, so everything I do is on card and can be seen on the statement. I hate feeling like I have to justify things.

Anyway.

Welcome back Timid I do hope your jaw is fully better soon. That sounds miserable.

Kid sorry you didn't get to the class, but glad you enjoyed missing it Wink

Wentworth Miller - had to look him up too! I am so out of touch. I'm going to put up a George Clooney poster. Mmmmmmm.

Good luck all those having their DoD today! I've been doing SW for 3 months now, and did my vital stats yesterday (I know, I'm repeating myself Wink)

So, I have lost 7 inches from my bust, 6 from my waist and 9 from my hips making 22 inches lost so far Grin. Need to get back onto the exercise to get the waist moving as it's the slowest going bit so far.

Got to go now as ds is wailing...

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 31/08/2011 08:16

Yes that would irritate me bee. well done on 22 inches, incredible.
I've had a good DoD todayGrin, finally! But that was for the last 2 weeks.
Today is zumba at the gym.
B: omelette
L; tomato, bacon and lentil soup.hobbit toast (heb)
D: sweet chilli chicken with roast veg

Looking forward to PMs with all the results.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 31/08/2011 08:17

Oh and welcome back timid, hope jaw is better

lizardqueenie · 31/08/2011 08:34

cheese just checking what do we email u, just our result or actual weight? TaSmile

grinningbee · 31/08/2011 08:55

You can sens as much or as little as you like. I post:

Start weight
Loss/gain for the week
Current weight
Total loss so far

But you don't have to put a start weight or current weight of you don't want to. Entirely up to you Grin

My food for the day will be:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit, yogurt
Sweet chilli chicken and roasted veggies

Big food shop today, and ds is in a foul mood. Done nothing but cry since he woke up. Hurrah.

Well done on the DoD Cheese! Going to pm you mine now Grin

Thanks bee. I'd like to make a
Million excuses for my weight before you see it but what's the point. As long as it goes downwards.

Sorry to hear about your DH. If it's any consolation my DH & I had similar conversations when I went on mat leave though I did manage to put some money aside whilst I was still working & getting ft pay. I know how hard those conversations
Can be though so sending you a big hug. X

grinningbee · 31/08/2011 10:25

Lizard you don't need to worry - we're all in the same boat. At my worst I was 17st 9.5.

We had a terrible year - house got flooded so ended up living in a static caravan, dh got diagnosed with stomach cancer, I had a mmc and also an anaphylactic (sp?) shock from an insect bite. When the ambulance lady told me I had given her a scare I realised just how close I'd been to shuffling off. I am not looking for any sympathy by the way, it was shit, but then everyone goes through horrible stuff.

However, as bad as that 12 months was, it wasn't the reason I got lardy. That was down to takeaways, wine and chocolate, and total lack of self-respect.

There now. I probably shouldn't have typed all of that, but it's nothing that a sleuth couldn't track down from old posts. Probably overshared though. Sorry!

Reckon I've dawdled enough. Time to get the dc ready and head out.

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 31/08/2011 10:32

Crumbs bee. That is crappy. Well I think you should be proud of yourself for all the weight you have lost REGARDLESS of the shitty year.

lizard nothing to worry about. We all have weight to shift. I am so so tired today, I don't know why. I think I had short but heavy sleep last night, kept waking up as DD was oddly quiet!

whatkungfuthat · 31/08/2011 13:55

Hi everyone, hello to the new ladies Smile. Not a great week due to the chinese on Saturday and the wine but I'm hoping to get into the exercise properly next week when DS2 goes back to school. I've got DS1 at home till 12th (MLD school as he has ASD, they seem to get loads more INSET days) but he rarely lifts his head from his games. This holiday has been the worst so far for arguments about little bits of plastic and the tv remote, despite the age difference (they are 13 and 5)

Food:
Hobbit bread (love that name) toast
ML's & fruit
not sure yet - either gammon and omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes or pork loins with roasted veg and a cheeky bit of stuffing Grin

whatkungfuthat · 31/08/2011 14:09
grinningbee · 31/08/2011 14:52

I'm loving all these posters.

Cheese the year of crap was waaaaay back in 2007, so I definitely can't blame it for still being overweight now. And thanks for the scanbran cake... friend HmmWink

Both dc were little horrors while we were out. Dd kicked me 'cos she didn't want to go in the pram, and did it peddling her feet against my legs so much that she started kicking my trousers down Blush. We had people staring at us! And ds kicked off in Sainbos at the checkout. Full on back arching and tears. I can't wait for their bedtime today Grin

Oh - Sainbos are selling quorn mince and fillets at two packs for £3 in case anyone needs to stock up.

OP posts:
kid · 31/08/2011 15:37

I was all set to start SW today, I weighed myself and can confirm I did gain 2lb on holiday which is fine by me, it could have been a lot worse and i did have a good time.

I did start today well, I had weetabix and an apple.
Then I went shopping to get dcs uniforms (left it a bit late as usual) and Tesco's stock was appalling so I have to go out again tomorrow. But, while we were out, it was getting late for lunch and there was a macdonalds right next to tesco so we popped in there. Infact, we went to the drivethru so didn't even have to get out of the car!

I've done my meals for tomorrow and have everything I need for that so tomorrow will be fine.
I have a gym class booked for tomorrow but already I don't want to go Sad
Back to work Monday so maybe diet and exercise will work better then?

bee hope the money situation works out for you. My sis had similiar issues with her DH not giving her anything, I mean she couldn't even buy herself a can of drink if she was out. I couldn't live like that, I need to spend when I want which could account for why I have no savings at all!

I have such a rotten headache, I've had it on and off since Friday and DC seem to be shouting all the time, I think I'm gonna have to gag them!

SlinkyB · 31/08/2011 16:01

bee nightmare about the £, and the dc's, but bloomin' well done on the 22"!! That's fantastic. Let me know if you find some time/inclination to do some exercise, and where I can get some! Wink

timid welcome back and hope your jaw is much better now.

I did the sweet chilli chicken last night, but with strips of chicken breast (reduced cooking time) and peppers/onions. Also, didn't have harissa paste as dp said Asda didn't have any Hmm so used a table-spoon of honey instead. Was lush with some noodles (basically like a no-fry stir-fry). What veggies do you lot usually do with it?

Erm, how hard is it to stick to plan when you're at home all day and feeling sorry for yourself?! Just glad I don't have any ice-cream in the house!

Off to in-laws for dinner tonight; Wednesdays are always family meal night so I don't get a say in what we have, but it's not usually too bad.

Oh, I second a poster of the delicious George Clooney! . We'll be running out of Blu-Tac soon!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 31/08/2011 16:10

Any more takers for the list?
Cor, DD is HARD work today!

grinningbee · 31/08/2011 16:22

Inclination to exercise.... dunno Grin still trying to work that one out myself.

The veggies I do with the chicken are:

3 sliced courgettes
2 peppers of different colours cut into chunks
1 red onion cut into chunks
Handful of cherry tomatoes if I have them
Sometimes put in whole garlic cloves

Bung it all in a dish, spray with frylight and roast in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes at 200c. I love it.

OP posts:
kid · 31/08/2011 16:39
