Oops we're full up again! Hope it's OK to start a new thread. Come on Jillian devotees, let's keep up the good work and the great results!

That sounds like a great plan Fauxfox - good luck and let us know how it goes.

Good luck to those trying tabata too! Remember - it should feel really awful by the end (sorry...) if you are pushing yourself properly, according to a personal trainer pal of mine. Think utterly gasping, potentially slightly dizzy etc because of the amount of oxygen you are trying to intake. Only 4 minutes though!

McPie · 30/01/2012 09:29

Well the dreaded lurgy hit yesterday and I feel like crap after a horrid nights sleep as well. I am taking it easy for the next few days until the fugg in my brain has lifted Sad

gingercat12 · 30/01/2012 09:57

Happy Brithday notyummy!

I had D4 L2 Shred. I am getting better, but it will take me about 30 days just to master this level. On the plus side, I am sweating buckets, and discovered new muscles in my body, so that must be a good thing.

We have a rug on wooden floor, so I'll have to buy an anti-slip underlay before I can even attempt proper jumping plank-jacks and whatnot (I am just not strong enough for them anyway). How could I ever do these when I was younger?!

I hate running, too. But when the weather improves, I'll have to try it. That tabata training sounds a killer one.

I did not lose so much weight this week (about 3 lbs), but my trousers are definitely getting looser.

Am strangely addicted to military presses.

gingercat12 · 30/01/2012 09:58

McPie Hopeyou'll feel better soon.

notyummy · 30/01/2012 10:09

Hope you feel better soon Mcpie.

3 lbs is great Gingercat!

Did anyone see the US BIggest LOser this week? It was the first week, so they are all v overweight and drop loads of weight after the shock of all that diet and exercise. One guy lost 40 pounds. Yes - 4 0 Shock.

knottyhair · 30/01/2012 10:13

chocolate, I'm the same as you, my arms are looking the best they've ever done, but tummy is still the problem area, although it's a lot better than it used to be! I'm in size 8 jeans though for the first time in about 20 years so maybe I'm expecting too much! Sorry you're feeling so crap McPie. Take it easy and look after yourself. gingercat, well done on the weight loss, 3lbs is really good!

Did L1 Ripped this morning but added weights to some of the cardio & ab moves. I seem to find the side planks a lot easier if I'm up on my hand instead of on my elbow Hmm.

notyummy, yes I watch that! The weight loss is extraordinary, they seem to lose a lot more than on the UK one. I do get disappointed when Jillian isn't in it much some weeks though Grin.

notyummy · 30/01/2012 10:18

Knotty - I think this is the last series she is in, and perhaps the fact that she had so many other commitments and couldn't spend as much time 'on the ranch' is part of why she left? Size 8 jeans is a real achievement....your tummy can't be that big!

Nolda · 30/01/2012 10:43

Happy Birthday, Notyummy!

Well done on the weight/inch loss folks.

I did Level 2 Ripped last night and have hurt my neck a bit. I was struggling to work out what was going on in the new abdominal exercises and obviously not getting it right! Rest day today so hopefully will be OK to continue tomorrow.

DH bailed out of day 5 Level 1 Shred yesterday at the beginning of circuit 2. I feel really disappointed - I must get a life!

gingercat12 · 30/01/2012 11:12

Apparently Jillian is oing to adopt. I do not know where I read it.

ThePaxton · 30/01/2012 11:28

Hi everyone. Back after a nice weekend at my mums. Great loss McPie sorry you're feeling crap. That's what I had last week. gingercat thats great loss in a week. I hated L2 of Ripped, glad I'm moving on. knotty and notyummy I watched it last night and I couldn't believe the weight loss. Jillian really scares me on it. Nolda hope your neck is okay.

Am going to do BFBM today. I biffed at mums and feel the need for some cardio and after a week off exercise I think L3 of Ripped might me too muchGrin

worldgonecrazy · 30/01/2012 11:33

Switched back down to Level 3 of Ripped. It's definitely harder than Level 4, but maybe that's because I can't do the advanced Level just yet.

gingercat12 I was under the impression that Jillian was a lesbian, she definitely seems to have the hots for Basheera.

McPie · 30/01/2012 12:37

Thanks guys, I am glad I got to the end of ripped before it hit me so when I feel better I can start at the begining again. I have done nothing all morning and time has dragged by, oh how I miss Jillian, she has a soft spot for Natalie too, more so in killer than in shred.

chocolateshoes · 30/01/2012 17:37

and she seems to rather like Shell in RI30 wk 2...

Jacksterbear · 30/01/2012 22:29

Everyone's doing really well! Well done on all the inches and pounds lost! Smile

Did all of NMTZ today, as punishment compensation for having a crap week last week and only exercising once.

Hope you had a lovely bday notyummy.

VenetiaLanyon · 31/01/2012 12:30

Hello all, am hoping that I'm back as knee injury nearly better - after 10 days off from any excercise I've started RI30 again from Week 1, to ease myself back in gently - will see how knee feels tomorrow, and if ok might move up to Week 2 again.

threestepsforward · 31/01/2012 12:41

Afternoon all!

Wow it's been busy on here, everyone hard at it! Hope all the lurgy and injury sufferers are on the mend...

Good luck with getting back into it today Venetia, hope the knee behaves! Mine seems okay still, will be on Day 5 of L1 Ripped by the end of the day. I'm still pretty knackered at the end of it!

Notyummy your description of how you should feel at the end of tabata has scared me! I definitely didn't feel that bad so should have been pushing it more. Chocolateshoes did you give it a go with the mountain climbers? I can imagine they would finish me off at full pelt! (I think mountain climbers are my hardest cardio thing).

Hope everyone's having a good day. Beautiful here, cold, sunny and frosty Smile

gingercat12 · 31/01/2012 12:58

Apparently that is why she is adopting. She also had polycystic ovary syndrome. (Why do I remember these things?!)

I must admit even I find the women in her videos quite attractive, and I have no interest in women like that.

Venetia Hope it all goes well.

Am slightly worried, as the acute pain from all my muscles are gone. Have they all died?

worldgonecrazy · 31/01/2012 13:32

venetia I protect my knees by doing no lunges except static lunges. The moving lunges guarantee my knees will give up. I do single leg extensions instead (from the original shred) in strength sections, or high knees if it's in the cardio section.

chocolateshoes · 31/01/2012 19:39

I love Jillian's stomach and want one just like that. Don't like Natalie's (RI30) at all - looks as if she has drawn her 6 pack on with a marker pen....

Have just done a Tabata!!!!!!! Did it with plank jacks. I survived but have just had to walk to the top of our house and my legs are not happy!!

Bproud · 31/01/2012 21:28

hello fellow Jillian fans! Threesteps invited me over here, I was sadly counting my 6W6P sessions on a defunct thread Grin
Anyway i am up to day 13 of level one and have introduced a weight, I'm looking forward to starting level 2 soon, but not managing more than 2-3 sessions a week, I do other exercise, walking, swimming, tradmill running. I've lost 1 1/2 stone since august and now want to tone up. I think I am beginning to see a hint of definition, but I still have a bit of a spare tyre, so trying to keep at it.

Jacksterbear · 31/01/2012 21:43

Welcome Bproud. Well done on your weight loss. You'll love L2 6w6p - it rocks!

threestepsforward · 01/02/2012 08:44

Morning all and hello Bproud, great to see you Smile Keep a count of your days here and we'll spur you on!

It's so COLD here this morning!!

Have managed Day 5 of Ripped and knee is holding up well, hope yours is okay Venetia. Aside from when I'm exercising, I'm being very careful about charging round corners etc. which may be helping...or may not! Hoping to have gone all the way through L1 by the end of the week, with a rest day today.

Chocshoes Nathalie in Ripped looks just like her abs have been drawn on in pen, that made me laugh!

Keep warm everyone!

FauxFox · 01/02/2012 10:31

Just ran 5k and did D10 L1 shred - Level 1 done! Yeeee-hah! Grin on to level 2 tomorrow...

Nolda · 01/02/2012 13:52

Welcome, BProud. Enjoy your 6W6P.

Good luck with level 2 tomorrow, Faux.

Did day 2 of RI30 yesterday. I think I over did it trying to impress Jillian with my squats and rotations! My legs ached this morning. Going to get DH to check my form on the chest press while raising leg in the air. Think this is the one causing the neck problem.
