Notyummy, hope you enjoy Sherlock Holmes as much as I did must stop drooling at thought of RDJ . Did a level 2 Shred this morning (still no likey), and that will be it for a couple of days. Have a good one everyone! x

knottyhohohohair · 24/12/2011 10:47

YES!!! Both the new Jillian DVDs have been despatched Xmas Grin!!

BalloonSlayer · 24/12/2011 11:29

Hello all and Merry Christmas!

I am up to Day 4 of Level 1 but I don't think I'll get any more done till Tuesday now. Still - at least I have started again and it is getting slightly easier.

Let us know what the new DVDs are like Knotty. I keep getting emails from Amazon about them but have resisted, mainly because the word "buns" (in a bottom context) makes me cringe. If I do ever get that one I shall have to throw the cover away!

I do the Shred and 6W6P a lot but have never done BFBM more than about twice so I am not sure I ought to buy any more Jillian stuff unless I use BFBM enough to get bored with it IYSWIM.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Jacksterbear · 24/12/2011 17:47

A very happy Christmas everyone! Xmas Smile

CakeCuresAll · 26/12/2011 23:53

I'm looking to start the 30 day shred on Jan 1st - is it ok to join you weird devotees to pain guys or should I start a new thread for unschooled newbies :o

notyummy · 27/12/2011 08:25

Oooh feel free to join! Smile All welcome here.

I ran on Christmas Eve and Bixing Day as was at my parents so couldn't do anything else. Double shred on 23rd. DH and I are doing NMTZ this morning.

Have eaten A Lot!!

Anyone got Ripped in 30 yet?!

knottyhohohohair · 27/12/2011 09:48

Hi Cake! Good luck - you won't regret it. Notyummy, that's pretty good going! I Shredded Christmas Eve, but nothing since, and like you, have definitely over-indulged! Going to squeeze in 4 circuits of NMTZ this morning before I have to go food shopping AGAIN for another family do tomorrow, and we've got a party at a friend's house this afternoon. Ripped in 30 is on the way...

McPie · 27/12/2011 10:15

Waiting for Ripped in 30/killer buns and thighs box set to arrive ready for me to start my new year blitz, no booze, snacks, sweets or fizzy juice for the whole of january Shock. Just ordered an easy shaper from Argos and have a months worth of sessions on a vibration plate. Lets hope it works for me this time round as Im starting to look and feel pretty horrid at the moment Sad

Jacksterbear · 27/12/2011 10:37

Welcome Cake - and why wait til Jan when you could let the pain commence now??!! Grin

Thanks for the running advice the other day notyummy, and kudos to you and knotty for keeping up the exercise over xmas!

Good luck with the fresh start mcpie hope you start getting the results you want.

Just done first post-festive shred (L3)...

threestepsforward · 27/12/2011 13:44

Festive greetings all and welcome Cake!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas Smile

Just home from a tour of family, had a really fantastic time. Only a handful of family spats and even they weren't too serious! Haven't done any Jillian'ing since the 23rd and have eaten MOUNTAINS of chocolate. Chocolate is my downfall and I'm currently carting around 1 kg of quality street about my person, mainly my backside I think!!

Am off again for New Year but will try and fit in a few Shreds before I go. No e-mail to say my Ripped in 30 is dispatched, good thing too maybe as I should get back into the swing of things with something familiar!

Will check in when (and if) I manage a Shred over the next few days...am not looking forward to it!

febes · 28/12/2011 00:40

I have maintained my weight over this festive season (so far!) according to this morning weigh in. Quite glad as I was definately up earlier in the week. I did a boxing day run and full NMTZs yesterday but not managed anything today and I have friends coming tonight for a bbq so unlikely to fit anything in. I'll shred and run tomorrow and shred on Friday brfore we go on holiday for a few nights over New Years. Things are ticking along nicely...

BalloonSlayer · 28/12/2011 12:38

Hello everyone! Welcome, Cake!

Day 5 Level 1 completed. I found it easier this morning (first time I have ever agreed when she says "If you're doing this on day 5,6 or 7 you must have noticed a BIG difference...") but that might be because I did it an hour after breakfast rather than before breakfast.

I don't feel like I have eaten loads over the holidays. But I feel . . . lumpy . . . and have put on a pound or two.

notyummy · 28/12/2011 13:43

Well done on the progress Balloon!

Febes - I also seem to be the same weight as usual (according to the scales this AM anyway.) I haven't drunk loads of booze, which I think has helped - but I have eaten more chocs/puddings than usual and thought I might pay the price. Perhaps my devotion to Jillian over the hols is paying off?

DH and I duly did NMTZ yesterday and 6W6P today, followed by 15 minutes of hard pilates (Kristin MacGees MTV Pilates if anyone is looking for the occasional change of style from Jillian.) Double shred planned for tomorrow morning.....

threestepsforward · 29/12/2011 09:26

Morning all!
Ripped in 30 has arrived Grin
I'm going to do it late afternoon and will report back! Have watched through level 1 - some of it reminds me of L1 of 6W6P.

Did a L3 Shred yesterday and it felt good after all the Christmas over-indulgence. I have definitely put on some weight but am hopeful it can come off again with some tough love!

knottyhohohohair · 29/12/2011 09:44

Ooh threesteps! Can't wait for mine to arrive. Having said that, I planned to do L2 6W6P this morning but have woken up with a horrible sore throat courtesy of DP so don't want to make it worse (have friends coming to stay for the weekend and I MUST BE WELL!). Bloody winter colds Xmas Sad.

ThePaxton · 29/12/2011 12:17

threesteps mine arrived today too, along with the killer buns one. I'll watch it later and will prob attempt it tomorrow. Am scared. Xmas Grin

threestepsforward · 29/12/2011 12:34

Good luck paxton, we shall have to compare notes tomorrow! I may be deluded but it doesn't look too bad, although it has that crescent pose thing which I absolutely hate! Have only watched level 1 so no doubt there will be more surprises in the later levels...

I nearly missed delivery of it today, postie was half-way down the street after leaving a card, and so keen was I to have it that I chased after her in my pyjamas and no slippers Grin

Oh dear knotty, take it easy today, hope it doesn't ruin the weekend Sad

Hope everyone has a good day Smile

threestepsforward · 29/12/2011 18:52

Day 1, Level 1, Ripped in 30, done Grin

It was pretty hard, but not too hard. All of the stuff reasonably familiar. I 'enjoyed' it and was suitably sweaty at the end!

Just watched level 2 to see what's coming up Shock. Lots of lunging, more bloomin' crescent posing. 1st cardio burst in L2 is plankjacks FOLLOWED by mountain climbers (again Shock). She says you're not going to die, but I'm not so sure!

I think it is like a condensed version of 6W6P with added cardio. I imagine Level 4 is a horror but too scared to look at that or Level 3 yet!!

knottyhohohohair · 29/12/2011 21:38

Feeling better so fingers crossed for tomorrow morning. Thanks for the review threesteps! Both my DVDs arrived this afternoon, and I've watched Killer Buns, all 3 levels - gulp Shock. Hoping to do Level 1 in the morning all being well. Tried out a few odd moves from it with my MIL, DP & DS - it all got a bit competitive Grin.

threestepsforward · 29/12/2011 22:44

Grin at knotty! Be careful, I can imagine competitive Jillian'ing is when most injuries are likely to occur!!

(would love to hear the reports back on the killer buns dvd - haven't bought that but if the reviews are good...)

knottyhohohohair · 30/12/2011 09:32

You're so right threesteps, I have memories of a drunken yoga showing off session a few years ago that didn't end well.
Didn't do Killer Buns in the end as I'm a bit short of time but had a go at Level 1 Ripped in 30 - really liked it, although I'm aware it's Level 1 Grin. The "fast runs" in the 1st cardio circuit are deceptively hard! "What's that smell? That's FAT BURNING!" Grin

BalloonSlayer · 30/12/2011 12:42

threesteps how long does it take to do "ripped in 30?" (I'm assuming the 30 is days not minutes?) Is it another quick one like the Shred?

Did Day 6 of Level 1 today. For all my bragging that it was getting easier I found it really hard today. Confused I could hardly do a thing and was knackered before I got going.

But I am SO pleased I started it again before the New Year.

knottyhohohohair · 30/12/2011 14:40

Balloonslayer, Ripped in 30 is like the Shred - 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio, 1 min abs x 3. It did feel a bit longer to be honest but I think that might be because it was new and I was knackered Blush.

threestepsforward · 30/12/2011 14:56

Congratulations knotty on the Ripped in 30 Initiation! (Envy at the burning fat bit, made me feel a bit queasy!)

Hey Balloon, I think it's 20 mins too, but it does feel a bit longer, not by much though. I also think her warm down in this is better than the Shred. Well done on getting back into it before the New Year, even a few days makes a difference.

I think it may be the music in Ripped that reminds me of 6W6P, I kind of miss the 70s funk merging into Spanish guitar mellowness of the Shred Grin

Hoping to fit another in today before more over-indulgence at New Year! Have a good day all Smile

BalloonSlayer · 30/12/2011 15:27

oooh. Maybe I'll get it when I have done the Shred again. Thank you.
