I am glad I found this thread. Now I have "friends" on mfp Smile . It will help me keep going having other people keeping an eye on me. I am trying not to talk about dieting with non dieting friends as I know how boring it can be listening to someone yak on about eating so it is nice to do it here.

RG - stop bloody putting us all to shame - stop all the exercising and good work!!!! Grin I'm going to have to pull my socks up this week and get cracking with some high energy, fat busting exercise. I'm not weighing myself until next week. I lost 2 pounds (I think - I'm not confident my scales are right) and I don't want to have put it back on. I've not been good this week at all.

bexsybooboo · 02/02/2012 20:23

Am actually quite proud of myself Grin, have had the day from hell at work, bad meeting this morning and then a serious incident to deal with this pm but I have come home refrained from vodka to relax me and refrained from lots of chocolate comfort food.

Am going to bed also to try and actually have a proper night sleep and be prepared for round 2 tomorrow Smile.

Wish me luck tomorrow am for WI have had one bad night (yesterday) where I had both lots of vodka and lots of chocolate Hmm

Good luck other Friday WI people look forward to reading your reports Smile

I'm trying my best to stick with 1200 calories a day but managing mostly just over or just under (mostly just over at the moment). I don't think I've gone over 1500 calories in the last 3 weeks and not a single sip of wine or alcohol has passed my lips. I am truly wonderful. But, I've not done nearly as much exercise as I would like and I keep thinking I'll come on my period (even though I'm supposed to be post menopausal but that's another story). Well done everyone. Fingers crossed for me for more weight loss next week - even if it's just a pound. Please GOD!!! Smile

bexsybooboo · 03/02/2012 07:02

Well all, WI today and I have stayed the same Blush

This would have seriouslypissed annoyed me and got me down previously but do you know what i'm content with that for a week as I know I have still been exercising so getting fitter and my body shape is changing Smile.

Think I am also starting to understand and see a pattern with my loss, for 2 weeks lose upto 2-3 ibs, 1 week 1ib and then 1 week I usually stay the same, but we will see next week if this is right as should lose if I have a good week which I will Smile

Keep going everyone you're all doing so well, just remember the weight loss is great but sometimes the body shape changing and getting fitter is also great when you have low or no loss Smile

jchocchip · 03/02/2012 07:38

Well said Bexsy. I really want to get fitter and find my abs (currently buried under a thick layer of fat) losing weight is good, but I am taking it slowly and aiming for 1 lb a week and hoping that I don't get left with too much spare skin. It is tempting to aim for 3lb a week now I know I can do it but the skin is my nightmare! 1lb a week is still 52 lb in a year which would be amazing!

QueenStromba · 03/02/2012 09:30

I've averaged a pound a week over the last four weeks which has taken the form of two 0.75 pound losses, a three pound loss and a half pound gain.

tardisjumper · 03/02/2012 09:52

I stayed the same this week as I just haven't been able to cope on so little food in this weather! Had 1 lb weight loss so that is 3lb weight loss in Jan which is ok as long as I keep on lossing at this rate.

However, I have signed up for a lose 10lb in Feb thing on myfitnesspal!

trice · 03/02/2012 10:23

I have lost 1 pound this week. Got to go out for a walk/run in half an hour and it looks cooooold!

JoJoBaldwin · 03/02/2012 13:48

Lost 5lb since monday - friday is going to be my official WI day so it was a short week this week. Very pleased, but it's only showing a 2lb loss on MFP as I mucked up the calculations for my starting weight on there. But never mind!

Today is going to be a write-off though. There's a bottle of champers with my name on it, I've just demolished some chocolate, and I'm making a curry. My food diary is embarrassing today!

QueenStromba · 03/02/2012 14:06

You can change your starting weight by going to "check in" and then clicking "edit previous entries". You can then delete Monday's weigh in and make a new entry with Monday's date and the correct weight.

bucketbetty · 03/02/2012 19:16

Hi everyone. I've lost 3 pounds now which isn't too bad over 3 weeks. I'm just really pleased I'm making some progress now. I had a cream donut today - it was a friends birthday and would have been rude not to. I've done next to no exercise but I'll get back on track by going for a run tomorrow. I feel much more relaxed about my small weight loss by taking inspiration from those of you who accept it as a good thing. Without this thread I may have given up. Thanks all. Smile

GeekLove · 03/02/2012 23:07

I don't thinknive lost anything this last week what with living On campus and not being able to cook. I have been running four times this past week mind but has any ody else noticed that. Old weather makes you more hungry? Hoping to at least break even on calories this week though!

jchocchip · 04/02/2012 08:44

Hmm wish my weigh in day was Friday. I said I wouldn't enter until Saturday. I do weigh myself every day and I've been 19st 1 most of the week. Today I'm 19st 3 which is a 1 lb gain :( Nvm, I'll put it down to totm. Still shocked to be approaching 19 stone as I spent 11 months of 2011 well above 20 stone. I think I will have a reward at 19, maybe get my toenails minxed because that is fun and doesn't have any calories.

rarebreed · 04/02/2012 08:57

Hi, have just joined MFP, am rarebreedseashell over there if anyone would like to add me Smile

Was 11st 12 last week, am about to weigh myself again..wish me luck!

Am trying to get down to 10stone and then see how i feel.

jchocchip · 04/02/2012 09:16

tried adding you rarebreed but it didn't work. check spelling?

jchocchip · 04/02/2012 09:18

rarebreed worked just not the seashell bit. Have you dropped it?

jchocchip · 04/02/2012 09:20

Page 40, someone link to a new thread, please?

rarebreed · 04/02/2012 09:30

Ah sorry, too early for me! Am on there as pumpkinseashell Grin

bucketbetty · 04/02/2012 09:33

jchoc - well done you, what an amazing achievement - don't dare let that pesky pound get you down. Go get those toenails done girlfriend. Grin

JoJoBaldwin · 04/02/2012 12:12

bucketbetty - glad you've seen a loss at last!
jchocchip - well done on approaching 19 stone, feels weird when you are in the next stone bracket down doesn't it!

Well I've had a little reminder of why I'm trying to go for as long as possible without a drink! Not only do I get all the calories from alcohol but the next day is a carb-fest so further compounds the situation.

Will try and get to the gym tomorrow snow permitting.

bucketbetty · 04/02/2012 12:58

Jojo I haven't had a drink for over a month. I'm out tonight and tempted to drive so I don't have more than a small wine. On the other hand it would be nice to chill with a couple glasses of wine. I'm too minds now you've reminded me of the benefits of not drinking.
