Kew, it's amazing how the pounds add up once you start losing. I've lost 54lbs since October. Set yourself small goals and enjoy achieving them. Celebrate every small success.

herdingcats · 20/07/2011 21:13

Well done evrone this week.
I have had my 1st gaain, 1lb .
Not worrying too much as it was a stand in leader and different scales. also cheekily jumped on other set there and I weighed 3.5lb less Shock. Surelly both sets should at least weigh the same Hmm
Back to tracking and double checking everything ,as I did not use any of my 49 extraPP ,earned 62 activity and only used 13 of those. cannot get how I put on. Never mind new week now

herdingcats · 20/07/2011 21:14

Sorry about rubbish typing, very tired Blush

vnmum · 21/07/2011 08:19

well done korma and collision
herding I wouldn't worry about the gain. Going off what you ate and earned points wise I would probably think the sneaky scales were the right ones. If so you should have a fantastic loss next week, but how bad that scales can vary so much in one meeting, shocking. I would have been tempted to email customer services and complain, but thats just me.

I am reporting a 2lb loss this week, yay, I'm back on the downward slide, not that I was worried about my previous gains, I suppose thats the confidence WW has given me

NorkyButNice · 21/07/2011 09:37

Well done to all the losers! And welcome to Kew - sounds like you've done very well on your own so the extra weight will drop off doing WW I'm sure.

I had my third weigh in yesterday - lost another 2lb so am 6.5 down in total.

Had a bit of a pig out last night (my first one in 4 weeks) as DS2 managed to break a bone in my hand by dropping a heavy toy onto it, so I'm splinted up for the next 4 weeks. Dinner plans went out of the window while I got to grips with being one handed and we had fish and chips for tea. Was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Fairenuff · 21/07/2011 11:06

First weigh in (only doing it at home but same scales, same time, etc.)

5.5lb loss Smile

vnmum · 21/07/2011 12:12

well done norky and fairenuff.
Hope your hand feels better soon norky

spudulika · 21/07/2011 13:34

First weigh in - 4 and a half lbs of flab gone Smile

Yay!

vnmum · 21/07/2011 13:59

thats good spud well done

spudulika · 21/07/2011 14:42

Thanks. Would like to share a recipe in celebration!

Yummy Japanese omelette
Gently beat 2 medium eggs together with 2 finely sliced spring onions, a finely sliced chilli, one a teaspoon of kikkoman soy sauce and half a teaspoon of granulated sweetener. Cook in large non stick pan in very thin layer. fold up to eat. I like mine with Japanese pickles and a little bit of rice. 6 points.

Whitershadeofpale · 22/07/2011 10:50

2.5lb loss this week. That 17,5lbs in total. 3lbs til I've hit my 10%. Got a big family party this weekend but know I'll stick to the vodka and soda and I'll be fine.

MrsWajs · 22/07/2011 18:28

Hi! Can I join?? Started WW again last week (for about the 4th time!) after having my first baby in April. Somehow miraculaously managed to lose 3/4s of my baby weight by sitting on my arse doing nothing but the last wee bit is proving difficult!!
Have to say I'm finding it a lot harder this time around than I ever have before, maybe been indulging a little bit too much during my pregnncy and now my body is having sugar withdrawals!!

SummerLeaps · 23/07/2011 11:31

Yeah losers!!!

I can also report a 1.5 loss this week- 8.5 pounds total to date and I am delighted. However i have already used all my weeklies Blush so have to be very 'good' until the next weigh in.

I am also using e-source and am totally converted. It's great.

androbbob · 23/07/2011 12:17

Hello! Been so busy this week this thread had slipped off my radar. I can view it on the phone but it is a pain to post on.

STS this week - ok considering what had been going on. Will apply myself from Sunday - I can be excused today as it is my Birthday! I have got a large Costco Chocolate cake waiting for people to visit this afternoon - looks really rich and gooey! Wont even consider the PP for that! Having Chinese takeaway this evening - DH at work all day, DD had sleepover at friends and DS next to me here! He decided we could go to Mc D for lunch! So we did a drive-through and got him a happy meal and I have had a plate of scrambled eggs!

Back tomorrow - school holidays started here so a big juggling act with the two of them and different hol clubs for them! 3.5 weeks to our holidays though - eek! Need to shift this half stone by then. Meal planning tonight and then do an on-line shop to match it - well that is the plan!

vnmum · 23/07/2011 16:28

HAPPY BIRTHDAY androbbob

carryon · 24/07/2011 09:06

Hi. I am starting ww today. I have an app on my phone. Need to lose 2 to 2.5 stone. Would love to hear your tips.

georgie22 · 24/07/2011 09:07

Hi everyone can I join in? I've started WW last week for the 3rd or 4th time. I was very successful first time I did it and need to replicate that again. Due back at work in a few months after maternity leave and need to fit into my work clothes! Found it OK last week - like the fact that fruit is 0 points now. Lost 4lb this week which I'm pleased about.

SummerLeaps · 24/07/2011 12:57

4lbs is amazing Georgie. :)

JennyPiccolo · 24/07/2011 20:23

Yeah, well done! I went off the rails on Friday night, and got VERY DRUNK. So feck knows what i consumed. I managed to avoid chips on the way home but then had a carb-fest on Saturday just to get through the day. (Will I ever learn?)
Then i've been very naughty again today, must've just thought since i didnt track anything on Saturday i could just eat what i liked today. Balls!

I just sat down and made myself track and i've used up 5 of my weeklies or something (I got new ones today) so im just going to draw a line under the whole sorry affair. Was my weigh-in day today but i didnt manage to get to the scales (I weigh myself on my mums wii every week), so i'm going to do it in the morning.

wish me luck! just looked up the points for a vodka and orange (5! and i had at least 5,000,000 of them.) At least i dont get to go out much these days.

Kewcumber · 24/07/2011 22:30

Don't vodka and oranges burn calories though?

I spent my first WW weekend away at a wedding which was beautifully catered from morning til night for the whole two days I was there. I was very restrained at the buffet breakfats but will draw a discrete veil over the rest of the weekend. Thankfully I don't drink so one less thing to worry about!

BartletForAmerica · 25/07/2011 12:16

Sorry I don't post much. I often read on my phone while BF, so find it difficult to keep track of everything and everyone. Must try harder. Smile

1lb weight loss here, so pleased with that as we were away for the weekend so it was harder to know what was in things. I just tried to make sensible choices about which foods and how much, so happy with 1lb this week.

BartletForAmerica · 25/07/2011 12:18

Well done, georgie and spud. Don't be disappointed if you don't lose that much weight this week. I find it does happen in fits and bursts anyway.

BartletForAmerica · 25/07/2011 12:24

Just gone back to the last WW thread to find out what I said for the summer challenge.

On June 12th, I said, "Starting weight is 11st 5.6lbs so let's aim for 10st 12.6lbs", aiming for 7lbs in 7 weeks.

Well, just realised that yesterday I was 10st 12lbs with one week to go. Smile

So I am going to set myself a new challenge. I have a holiday in 6 weeks, so let's aim for 6lbs in 6 weeks, aiming for 10st 6lbs by the first Sunday of Sept.

JennyPiccolo · 25/07/2011 16:01

i'd love it if vodka and orange burned calories. How could that be? It did make me dance like a twat.

Kewcumber · 25/07/2011 16:03

"It did make me dance like a twat" - well thats how it works - thin of all those calories burned Wink
