1st WI post Christmas for me tonight and I know it will be grim but I'm back on it now and ready to hit goal this year.

Willabywallaby · 05/01/2012 16:09

Ok, so I had gained a bit, not the half a stone I was expecting. But still 5.5lbs over goal, so had to pay, am hoping to get off that bit so next time is free. Just considering a piece of shortbread.... If I point it....

herdingcats · 05/01/2012 16:24

I went for my 1st WI since mid Dec and have gained 1.5lb so not too down hearted.
Willabywallaby- I'm surprised you had to pay! My leader said it was an amnesty week and nobody had to worry. One bloke at our class told me he got to goal just before Christmas and had put 8lb back on in 2 weeks. His wife gave him a right telling offGrin
Good luck with getting back on track everyone

Littlefish · 05/01/2012 18:31

First weigh in for me later tonight. I reckon I've put on 4 or 5 lbs and could absolutely kick myself. Sad

I'll report back later with the official confirmation.

Willabywallaby - well done on keeping your gain to such a small number.

Herding cats - I think I'll be about the same as you so we could have a mini target and see if we can get rid of it in 3 weeks. What do you think?

Whitershadeofpale · 05/01/2012 21:43

I put on 3 1/2 lbs which considering I stuffed my face for 3 weeks and barely moved I'm very happy with.

herdingcats · 06/01/2012 14:30

You are on littlefish. I think that is definitely possible.
Hope you got on ok

Littlefish · 06/01/2012 19:31

Well, I put on 5 and a half pounds. Grrrrrrr.

Herding cats - the fight back starts today. What day do you weigh in?

androbbob · 06/01/2012 21:17

androbbob · 07/01/2012 21:45

Oooowww littlefish that hurt! Grin

Doing so well at the moment - being really strict and tracking properly. Hope it show on the scales on Wednesday. Had some sad news earlier in the week - my DH's aunty died in hospital, so will have a funeral to attend in a week or so. Quite sad as she had been there since end October and just go t worse and worse with infections following a hip replacement.

Anyway - onwards and upwards - 8 weeks to our Center Parcs break!

Ouch Littlefish Sad - but it's only a tiny fraction of what you lost so you'll be fine. The only time I didn't gain weight at Xmas was when I was pg with DC1 and had all bloody day morning-- sickness. I am missing the extra treats (Bailey's, mmmm) but I know within a week or so, I'll adjust back. I am still on 29 PP - too much of a shock to go straight back down to 26

Ooh sorry

Littlefish · 08/01/2012 19:17

Hello bishboshone

I've been doing WW since October 2010 (15 months ago). Just before Christmas, I had lost a total of 5 stone (70lbs). Unfortunately I put 5.5 lbs on over Christmas, New Year and a 4 day break in Europe.

I've set myself a mini target of losing that 5.5 lbs in 3 weeks, and then another stone by Easter. That leaves 1.5 stone left to lose after Easter.

bishboschone · 08/01/2012 19:31

Wow little fish !! Was that on average 2 lb a week ? I managed to put on 5 stone during my pregnancy 6 months ago and need it gone .. Have set myself a goal of may. I have lost a fair bit but have 2 stone to get rid of Sad

JoJoBaldwin · 08/01/2012 19:40

Hello ladies, I'm back after some months away - veered off ww for a while but not too terrible damage done, just plateaud for a while.
Wanted to lose 3 stone last year. Managed 1 and a half. That was before xmas so i imagine that is down to one measly stone now! So time to refocus and I would love to check in here again for ideas and motivation.

It's not all bad! In the 2 months before christmas I took advantage of little one starting nursery and joined the gym. Didn't expect too much but have really enjoyed it and become addicted to exercise for first time in my life! Been doing one 5k run a week along with Bodyjam and Body combat and Zumba, with occasional swimming. Unfortunately been away from gym for 2 weeks due to being away over the festive period so it's my first day back tomorrow (will be painful).

So this week is all about getting back into the routine of exercise and starting to track again. Doing my mealplan now and just made a big batch of curried bns zero point soup to help me when I get peckish. Need to start remembering other low point snacks and meals, seem to have forgotten everything!

Littlefish · 08/01/2012 19:45

Bishboshone - I've just checked on my WW online thing, and it's exactly 1lb a week. Obviously, I didn't lose 1lb a week, sometimes it was more, somtimes it was less, but it averages out at 1lb a week. You've done incredibly well to lose 3 stone in 6 months!

Welcome back JoJo. I've just finished making my zero point curried bns soup too!

JoJoBaldwin · 08/01/2012 20:11

Thanks Littlefish, haven't you done well Wink. An inspiration to us who need to get on track. A lady at my gym is a similar inspiration. She joined the gym 2 years ago age 45 and 16 stone after 8 children. She is an amazing, strong, glowing size 12 now and getting into bodybuilding and doesn't look a day over 30!

JoJoBaldwin · 08/01/2012 20:21

Also, I seem to remember a list of PP recipes somewhere and I can't find it - would someone mind pointing me to the link if they have it bookmarked? Thanks x

Littlefish · 08/01/2012 20:24

Thanks JoJo. I love hearing about people like the lady at your gym. It gives me hope that I really can do it.

A friend came round this afternoon and together we went through all the clothes in my wardrobe and turned out everything that was too big, or just didn't suit me. I've now got 3 huge bin bags full waiting to go to the charity shop! I tried on a couple of things which I wore just before I started WW and they were huge on me. It really helped me to realise how far I've come, so far. When you've done it as slowly as I have, it's easy to forget what a huge change there is. Even though I slipped over Christmas, I'm feeling really proud of myself today for what I've achieved. Smile

bishboschone · 08/01/2012 20:26

Thanks little fish , to be honest that weight sort of came off on its own and I'm left with the extra 3 stone . I had a c section and da was prem an poorly in special care so I have an excuse for not getting off my butt before now ..( kind of) .. I was size 8-10 and hate being size 14 so it must go ... Blush

wizzler · 08/01/2012 22:50

OK.. am definitely going back to WW on tuesday nights... reckon I have put half a stone on since July which doesn't sound too bad but most of it was in the last 4 weeks. It has to stop... if I say it on here then I will definitely do it...
