catonkey Well done Grin

Have a slim weekend!

HattiFattner · 12/11/2011 14:33

catonkey, well done - go do the skinny dance!

HighHeidYin · 12/11/2011 21:24

Hello, can I pop back in please? Joined WW at the beginning of the year and lost 10lbs. Lost a further 19.5lbs low carbing. Have 11lbs left to lose and have returned to WW to get to goal.

Am finding it very hard though, weight loss is very slow and am in need of constant arse-kicking. So I thought of you lot Grin WI day is Monday, so will post my first WI then.

CrosswordAddict · 13/11/2011 20:06

HighHeidYin Hello there. My own WI is tomorrow too. Have been walking a lot again today. Hoping for at least 1lb weight loss tomorrow. Lunch was hard today - ended up with chicken salad. My walking is slow, slow, slow. Try as hard as I can but can only manage 1.2 miles in half an hour. Sad Need longer legs. Here's hoping you lose some tomorrow.

HighHeidYin · 13/11/2011 20:10

Hi crosswordaddict

Hope you get your pound loss tomorrow. Even though you find it hard, is great that you are managing to get out walking. It is bound to help.

Is highly unlikely I will have lost anything as have been awful this week Blush

And I haven't done ANY exercise - the biggest reason I'm having trouble losing. But I tore a tendon in my calf a few months ago during a zumba class and am really wary about doing anything too energetic now. Walking might actually be the answer.

CrosswordAddict · 13/11/2011 20:19

Sorry about your tendon. Zumba would be too energetic for me I'm afraid. I am plodding on with walking. Try to do an hour first thing (in the dark) before I get the kids up for school, then an hour later on after lunch/ before it gets dark. Then swimming twice a week. Keep trying.

HighHeidYin · 13/11/2011 20:31

Is ok now - just very tight probably because I haven't exercised it as much as I should have.

Do you find it gets harder to motivate yourself to exercise in the winter? I just want to snuggle up, stay in and keep warm. Am lazy so any excuse will do!

CrosswordAddict · 14/11/2011 09:26

HighHeidYin Yes, I didn't do the early 6am walk today
Am getting fed up because my walk yesterday took an hour to do 2.4 miles. I know I should be doing a 15 minute mile and just can't get any faster. I try my hardest to go faster but have short legs and have to jog to keep up with normal people!Sad Would a treadmill help me? I hate them btw.

mrskbpw · 14/11/2011 12:43

Morning all

Crossword Addict - I don't think you need to worry about going faster. I think it'll come naturally.

I am starving today! But I have moved offices, so had a 15 minute walk this morning and have been lugging crates around. Thankfully order seems to have been restored so back to normal from now on.

Had a good weekend. My husband is a brilliant cook and has his own food blog. He made treacle tart this weekend for his blog. I pointed the whole recipe - 152 points! One portion was 19. I used my weekly points for it, and only had one slice. He's taken the rest to work so we won't be tempted to finish it. He also made delicious beetroot soup (2 points) though, which I have for lunch.

Good luck to all those weighing in today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2011 15:22

well done everyone - keep up hard work x

HighHeidYin · 14/11/2011 19:58

< waves to blondes >

crossword yep, don't worry about the speed and whether or not you are as fast as others. You will know yourself how hard you are working and as long as your heartbeat is raised and you feel slightly out of breath, you are working hard enough. I too have little legs. They might not be able to run as fast as my 6ft4 dh but they are working just as hard if not harder!

mrskbpw lucky you having a husband who can and does cook! Envy dh does a roast but that's it. Oh and the obligatory bbq.

Good day today. Tracked everything, used all my dailys but am feeling really hungry. Off to have an apple.

Is very quiet on here these days...

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2011 21:50

'snuggles to hhy'

CrosswordAddict · 15/11/2011 15:36

Walked up massive mile-long hill to WW last night [proud smirk icon]
Had a total shock when I got on the scales.
3.5 lbs loss!!!!!
Still can't quite believe it. Have got first half stone sticker and feel good.
Greetings to all you other LOSERS!! Grin

HighHeidYin · 15/11/2011 19:26

How are you lovely?

Oooh well done crossword That's brilliant - and a shiny 7 to boot! Grin

My sneak peak showed that I've lost another 2lbs - yeehaaa! Very pleased and motivated. 9lbs to go....

Am absolutely starving tonight. Still got 5pps to have. Need to go raid the cupboard!

JennyPiccolo · 15/11/2011 20:27

had a cheeky month off for no reason. Why? why? i was doing so well!

ive put on 2lbs so will at least try to get that back off before xmas.

Catonkey · 15/11/2011 20:35

CrosswordAddict well done on your loss this week and getting your 1st sticker!! Feel a tad envious that I won't get stickers with WW online :( will have to make my own Wink

HighHeidYin well done on your loss too, stay motivated!

Jenny, if you've put on 2lbs in a month you can lose it in a month...good luck with restarting :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2011 22:29

so so hhy tbh :(

HighHeidYin · 16/11/2011 14:49

I did wonder blondes Have pmd you xx

Oooo dear, better get meself over to nethuns!

jenny It's so, so easy to slip off the diet. The main thing is you are back. And you must have been not too bad atall whilst you had your month off - 2lbs is a tiny blip! You'll have lost that again in no time.

catonkey hey, stickers for onliners - that could be a new business idea! I'd buy some! We pay enough to get sent stickers Hmm

Being rather angelic atm. Determined that the scales will please me on Monday!

CrosswordAddict · 16/11/2011 15:55

Hello Losers

Well done catonkey. Here is a sticker from me Grin
Just had chicken salad for lunch and feel saintly. Will this last? I wonder.
Swimming tomorrow am.
Am toying with idea of joining gym but can't stand the loud music. Sad

Whitershadeofpale · 16/11/2011 16:05

HI I've not been on this thread in a while but I've still been going and have now lost 39.5lbs so 2.4lbs off 3 stone. It's lovely as everyone is noticing now and I'm wearing a dress to a Christmas party I last wore 7 years ago!

I'm a helper so I know the changes (shhhh).

Weekly points aren't changing but dailies are going down for some people who were on 29. I think it's too encourage people who join with not a lot to lose who get disheartened as it doesn't come off quickly and then leave. My points should drop to 26 (the new lowest) but my leader and I both agree there's no point in me dropping my points as I'm still losing about 2lbs a week.

The second biggest change is that if you don't fany tracking you can eat just the fillling and healthy foods. You can eat as much as you like but must listen to when you're full. Anything you have that's not a filling and healty food (the green highlighted ones in your book) must come out of your 49 weeklies. You can do this all the time or just as a one off day here and there.

HighHeidYin · 16/11/2011 16:13

Oooooh whiter well done on losing almost 3 stone - that's amazing!

Very interesting about the new changes. Hmm, I've only got about 9lbs to go now so think the reduced dailys will come in handy in a few weeks. Wonder if I will be able to change the total on my ww online account.

Whitershadeofpale · 16/11/2011 16:18

Thanks, I think that I'll stick to 29 for now but as I get nearer to goal and I start stalling (as I'm sure I will) I'll drop down.

I started at 14st 6.5lbs and am as of last Thursday 11st 9lbs and my mini goal is for my weight to start with a 10 by Christmas.

Littlefish · 16/11/2011 16:49

Some great weight losses. Well done everyone.

My good news is that I've lost another 1.5lbs this week. That makes a total of 66lbs. Just 4lbs to go to reach a 5 stone loss. Without putting myself under pressure, it would be great to lose that 5lbs by Christmas. Smile
